From what I've heard BOB and its "Pets" are taking over. Soon enough all of 0.0 is going to be taken over and who ever does not join them does not get any 0.0 space.
What is this game going to be like when BOB take over?
Will this ruin the game for others that do not want to join BOB?
What can we do to stop them?
Will there be retaliation? A forming of a new alliance that goes against BOB?
When will this happen?
How will this happen?
I donÆt know what are your thoughts on the legendary Band of Brothers? And what can we all do about them?
In my opinion, I know it is the purpose of this game to ôRule the Universeö. But will ruling the universe stop other corps and alliances from being independent in 0.0? ItÆs like Earth everyone is not fighting over land here. So why donÆt we all ôget alongö? Work something out. Let BOB have their space and others have their own ôFree Spaceö.

A. Probably the wrong section on this.
B. This is an old topic of conversation, there is like a thread a week about this worthless dribble...
C. If you want to know all that info, join a corp who has something at stake out in 0.0 and keep up with the politics. If not, sit in empire and carebear your heart out with those new lvl 5 missions.

Every week there's another thread about how BOB is going to rule all of eve and quite frankly, it's rubbish. The problem with controlling everything is that they deny their pilots the one thing they really enjoy. Pew Pewing daily. Once they run out of targets they'll turn on each other and it'll be a full on cycle again.
There will always be those who oppose BOB and there's always the simple fact that a force as big and powerfull as they are have the problem that defeats all great empires throughout the test of time. No matter how big you get, there's always someone bigger that'll come along and knock you off the top of the ant Hill.
In the meantime enjoy the pew pew against BOB and go all out. Wether it's a pet or BOB itself you're taking to the clone vats, you're doing the rest of EVE a service ;) I enjoy the danger of knowing that BOBs in the filed doing what they do best. Making PVP on a large scale worthwhile. :D

Wish people didn't use the word "pew" makes no freaking sense...
BoB will become as large as Rome, then people close to the leadership will split off.
Its simple history :lol:
At least nobody said the Romans cheated

stepp 2: Make alliance
stepp 3: Grow in power and wealth
stepp 4: Practise pvp scaning and make some good fc in batle is always need for a good fc.
Stepp 5:win win and win agen and newer give up.
The 5 setpp program to be sucsessfull in eve.

BOB lives for war, they will never allow EVE to become peaceful. If they ever conquer it all they will start fighting eachother.
Personally I dont think it can be done, your may claim a system on paper but policing it is another story.
But I think there is something deeper to your question. What I would like to ask you is: Do you feel that the best organised, most experienced, most devious and most aggressive entity in EVE does not "deserve" to gain control of the map if they are able to pull it off? Think about what they will have to put into the game to ever get there.
As for why so many people sided with BOB during the great war?
Well think about it, would you rather be known as a BOB pet or a Goon pet?

Actually it is kinda funny, but now that the Trainwreck is being dismantled, it seems that now we are getting more of those so called "pets" as many of you like to call em. I myself would like to call em, associates, business partners.
Contrary to the belief that we had such amount of popularity in the GreatWar times. Those were bit different IMO. Only LV (remnants of what was left) was a big entity that could be considered a ally of significance. Reason why I wont calculate MC to this is because they are Mercenaries, and hired guns are not accountable to anyone. Not even us.
And as you are saying, we had our share of allies in the GreatWar, but if we look at the numbers, more than 20k pilots (only calculating the main alliances who were/are backing RAgoons), against what, maybe MAX 10k, if I would give my opinion, I would say, ~6k players, so the odds were, ~4/1 numbers against us, and in general, the whole "hatred" if I may call it, was aimed towards us.
Now that we have had another success on liberating few regions, it seems many of those former "haters" wanna be "partners".
Wonder why...

BoB will run into imperial overstretch long before they'll manage to take over all of 0.0. They might be in a position to squash any potential rivals and collect "mafia protection money" (=rent?), but they can only fight so many battles at once, and there will always be many corps and alliances who refuse to bend over. Those may have a hard time growing into anything of significance, but I don't believe for a moment that 0.0 access will ever be exclusive to BoB pets only.

Taking over capital constellations after Rev. II is very hard with anti-cyno generators and the massive deffence you can set up.

Unfortunately I cannot express my feelings about BoB attempts to take over 0.0 as I rather like playing the game and any attempt to..... express my true views about them would be tantamount to asking CCP to revoke my subscription.

Please next time you want to make a thread like this put it in caod.

As a new player of Eve, the only thing that upsets me is that BoB is in the position they were at thanks to CCP and solely thanks to CCP.
They cheated, they got an unfair edge and were allowed to keep it. They would not be the force they are without it.
Arguments can be made all day against this, but nobody will believe them, or should. As far as I am concerned, BoB is a manufactured entity created by CCP for the simple purpose of having a megaalliance to rule the galaxy.
It's sad they couldn't have left the players do it themselves. I don't see any force being able to topple them, lest CCP help another alliance to cheat and catch up.

I think you are a tad bit late with "your idea" (this topic has been posted many times). BoB opposers had the chance to take BoB down, instead of working systematically they ran around like headless chicken and we are seeing the results whether fortunate or not. Now with the changes to sovereignity, they got no chance imo.
"we hate BoB so we are going to destroy them" is not enough to kill prolly the most organized alliance in the game. You need a realistic short term and long term plan, dedicated people and top notch tacticians if you want to tackle BoB.
Besides, BoB's aim to conquer all 0.0 space is not meant literally. They don't really want to conquer all space because if they did, there won't be anyone left to fight.

If BoB conquer all of 0.0 it will mean more targets moving to lowsec/highsec Empire, which means more chances to liberate assets, YARR!
I've fought BoB on three occasions, in Huzzah, ASCN and recently in GoonSwarm (my last corp was being stalked my BoB, I swear)and each time they have taught me something about the game which I could use to become better. IMO not enough people learn from BoB, instead they start whine threads about how unfair life is.
I think things will become most interesting when/if BoB take over 0.0. there pilots are made for PvP, it's there reason for playing, without it they would be lost. Not sure how they'd feel about just taking rent and sitting idle in a station. Take over Empire? easier said than done. Reset standings? they've done it before and I'm certain they'll do it again.
Either fight them or fight for them, or like me, try cut a new career for yourself as a Pirate but for the love of all things kitty, stop the speculation and go play the game
