If they do change things back, i WANT an option to keep this UI. It's perfect for my tastebuds
So yeah, i have a problem with being serious, but it's the almost smallest problem i have. |

DonŠt take this the wrong way, but that sounds disturbing. IŠm glad there is some positive feedback on the UI though, but IŠll continue asking around if there are plans for any changes yes/no etc. Everybody is somehwat busy though.

Not at all, not at all. Have you seen which corporation i belong to?
But seriously, my eyes just like this style of UI the best so far. It's so, old school/50's style. Yummy.

Definitely some options to customise the module buttons would be very nice. Everything else about the new UI is fine, but losing the ability to see what's active and what isn't at a glance is a pain. Other then that, i love the new patch.

You know, after all the commotion about the new guage cluster, I logged on last night...
I think the green flashing is brighter than it was before. I could tell what modules were on and off out of the corner of my eye. I mean, minus the colorblind thing (if you cant see green on a grey background, then all you would see is the circles getting a bit fuzzy) I cant for the life of me figure out how you would not know if your modules were on or not.

What is it about the blinking that annoys people? Is it too slow? Too faded?
BEcause they were blinking before people

I hope they can make it easier to spot if a turret is on or of, but keep the rest as it is. I really like the new ui

Like most other people here its very annoying when you cant see which module is active particularly when you are in a light part of space. This is a very simular thing that happened with fonts some time back.
CCP where kicking and screaming about making any changes but eventually they had to. just to many players complained.
you can take this as a complaint, STOP fixing what isnt broken and spend more time fixing what is.

New UI looks great, if you could change the Font of "WARP DRIVE ACTIVE" back to the Antiqua Variant it would be incredible.
buUT,a good design doesnt just look pretty, it actually has to serve its purpose. Which the new one obviously fails

No wasnŠt mocking, I know I suck at giving directions and then screenies help At work we actually use a lot of pain too to show others where we want new features or bars to appear ( by the big red arrow 9 out of 10 times)
HavenŠt heard anything definitive on the colours and UI.
You use pain to show others what you want? Must be a ... lovely climate at work o.O
"No you UI-sissy, I want that button over HERE!" *whipsnap* "OW yes yes" *whipsnap* "Yes what?" "Owowow Yes Mistress!"
Yes yes just missing a 't' there, human error, can happen...
No freudian mistake or anything. ;)

This might actually be a way to get pink coloured text in game and pink UI

I'm having a lot of trouble with the UI too. My vision's fine, but the entire UI just seems way differen't from what I've been used to. I'm having troule seeing if a module is on or off just like the rest of you.
Something else that's really bothering me is the market. When you click on one of the main headings like Ship Equipment and the sub catagories drop down, there's no contrast between the main headings and the sub headings like there used to be. It's really confusing me.

Edited by: Sheriff Jones on 21/06/2007 14:39:06 I noticed this on another thread, but the new UI isn't a problem really on widescreen mode that i use vigorously
But now i can see the "outcry", or the need for it.
So yeah, i have a problem with being serious, but it's the almost smallest problem i have. |

If the UI doesn't go back to the old-style, it will mean a hasty retreat to EQ2 for me. I don't play games I can't stand looking at.

I have difficulty telling if the module is on or not. It will cause me much more concern the next time I have to put my dread into siege mode. ----

Is it active? I can't tell. Running in widescreen as some on this thread have suggested helps. __ Fabulous Soulcatchers are recruiting.

New UI changes for module on/off indication and the micro-spot you need to click in order to overheat a module suck. ---- Some people say I have a bad attitude. Those people are stupid.
