Edited by: Tyria Evenstar on 18/01/2004 12:01:52 I figured we need a place for all the things in the game that the players –or just plain common sense- can see that need fixing or balancing, and thus far haven’t been. It’s a place where anyone can contribute (and I want others to contribute), and all sensible list additions are very welcome.
• Fix Caldari ships – Either make them more speedy and manoeuvrable than at present -as they are written up as being in the character creation screen-, with the locking times and getting targeted times they have currently, or balance both in regards to the other race’s ships stats. Don’t keep both as they are now.
• Give 2 bonuses for cruisers – Why oh why aren’t there 2 bonuses for cruisers, where there is for every other ship in the game? Very wrong.
• Fix current bonuses for cruisers – e.g. 5% bonus to Medium Hybrid Turret optimal range per lvl for the Caracal? Give me a break, that’s rubbish. A 5% bonus to missile launcher capacity per lvl would be much more fitting.
• Put all tech1 BPs on the market – Pretty self-explanatory, tech2’s coming down on all of us, and yet not all of the tech1 BPs have been released yet.
• Give a use to all the ‘useless’ modules – All those could-be-good but naff modules out there need a use. Things like damage control, inertia stabilisers, reinforced bulkheads, nosferatu etc.
• Put in the missing railguns – There isn’t a 2x damage variant railgun for Cruisers or Batleships yet, even though frigates have them - the 125mm Railgun. Not having them in severely limits a railgun-user’s cruiser or battleship weapon load out options.
• Fix laser damages – Lasers without crystals in them get a damage nerf – just look at the stats. Either make lasers have to have crystals in them, and make a new, non-range modifying one with damage stats akin to Depleted Uranium or Lead, or boost the non-crystal-equipped laser damage.

• Fix cruise and torp missile costs – The requirement for mega and zyd in some of the high-end missiles is unacceptable, esp as these weapons have a big chance of being destroyed before hitting a target.
• Make shuttles faster – Shuttles have now been out-classed in speed by many afterburner and all mwd-equipped ships. Increase base speed to 1km/sec, warp speed to 6 au/sec and improve their warp drive efficiency to make travel in them faster.
• Fix model errors – Fixing the various model errors with the Omen, the Blackbird the Scorpion and the Minmatar Sentry Gun needs to be done (and any others I may have forgotten).
• Show all ship masses when infoing a ship – Not all ships have this stat present on their info page, and it should.
As I said, any player additions/replies (or even, lol, dev response) is welcome.

... If i recall right there was quite a complete list compiled by players, short before the Castor patch went live, posted in the Patch Review section of all places... figures the devs would never hear of it and have to be told again -.^

There's a lot of bug fixes that need to be done first, imo.
Station hugging needs to go away. Change in progress needs to go away. Corps with share issues/unusable ceo's need to be fixed.
Copied from the bug/workaround post from Sam's post, currently on page 4.
local chat bug : when passing a few systems and talking in each, will cause you to not be able to speak anymore in local. The amount of systems it takes before it gets bugged seems random. This bug has been there since I started playing exactly 5 months ago. Very very annoying when you're trying to explain to a guy shooting you in 0.0 that you're actually friendly.
When charting a course, and hitting autopilot, sometimes the gates are yellow (showing where you have to go), but most of the times they are white. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not supposed to happen but I think this was supposed to make it easier while travelling.
Travel was supposed to be gate to gate, I thought I've read that somewhere ? I still end up at stations, which I like better because my missions go faster. Can be very annoying if you're not supposed to be in that system and have to switch of autopilot because you're stationhugging.
The session change in progress screen : The operation you have requested could not be performed because another session change is already in progress, and doing so would only cause problems. Please wait, or if all else fails, restart the client and reselect the character. Very annoying. Someone pointed out, it's good to see what's wrong. I suspect this has something to do with either bad memory management or lack of hardware to support this game and it's databases. We never had this popup untill the Castor patch. I also never had to dock three times before the station accepted my docking request (and I get the same popup while docking).
Joining a gang kills your drone command window. When you are mining and you join a gang your drone window disappears and you have to get all the drones manually. This ties the local chat bug for most annoying bug 1st place.
Doing splash damage to gates in 0.0 space while using lasers ??? I still don't get this one ? Maybe it's not a bug, but I lost an arma this way. Someone was firing rockets at me, while I only had lasers to shoot back with. The gate said I couldn't jump because I did splash damage ???? Maybe the message should be re-written or made clearer ? How do I do splash damage while using lasers ?
The gates in Yulai and New Caldari still don't seem to be fixed. I think this has already been reported.
Sometimes the autopilot just stops ??? This happened in a few other patches as well, seemed fixed but it's back :S
refitting your ship from mining to fighting or vice versa will cause you not to be able to put all the same ( !!!! ) modules back in. Restarting solves this. It seems the bonuses that your (engineering and electronic) skills give are removed when equipping your ship with a new setup. Relogging for the local chat bug and this bug takes up to 10% of my playing time now........
The attributes visual bug is still there or back. When switching between ships, your attribute points are reset, not showing the correct learning time for skills. Annoying as well.....
If I had my cargo open while docking it would stay opened inside the station. This doesn't work anymore ?
The gangster not in system bug when trying to warp to someone in gang in the same system.
The "person already has an invitation to the gang bug", which ends up with you having to restart the gang.
None of the changes you make in the Shortcut Settings gets saved.
**I would hope some of these get attention, before Caldari bs's do!**

hehe i copied that list last week and added some more missing bp's. put it forward to TomB/BH Eight, afaik they have been added to chaos. |

I'm ( as a hauler ) missing cargo expander 1 BP's and also the Giant cargo container BP's I believe a tech 2 cargo expander BP is rather useless when there isnt even a tech 1 available

*fix the typhoons right-rear section, u can see through the hull so it looks flat. drive a typhoon for a day and u know what i mean.
*fix the minmatar symbols on the armageddon in dock (still there) and i believe they are on the arbitrator as well.
*right side dorsal gun on the maller is to far forward and floating in space (fricken annoying to look at).
*make the scorp its normal size, or fix the description or sumthing.
*make better descriptions for the minmatar battleships, its just plain pathetic right now.
*un nerf the caldari ships scanning and movement wize. the caldari race is supposed to have the best scanners 
there have to be more problems with ship modeling, but im drawing a blank right now

Always nice to read "has been fixed on Chaos", I'd much rather like it to be fixed on TQ.
What's the trouble in putting those fixes in a mini-patch for TQ? I want my stats back on my Mods (overdrives, nano's, stabilizers). Castor's been up for ~1 month and still no fix on that while it's supposedly been fixed on Chaos for a while now.

(or something similar). I'll second the Thorax and Megathron fix. To spend over 100m on a Megathron and have it look so bad is a crime

join gang camera bug - when you join a gang, sometimes the camera freaks out. It will zoom in/out towards your ship, but the camera target switches to one of the other gang memebers. When the gang member leaves, the camera goes back to normal, but the gang member's ship model is stuck to your own. .

I dunno 100% about this but TomB's job is not to fix every issue in game ? thought he was the balance guy for Mods and weapons ?
perhaps a better place for this .. known issues or the idea Lab ?

He does the ship balancing as well. All my suggestions were to do with with ships, weapons, modules or model errors - and thus under TomB's sphere of influence, and viable for this forum.

The Idea Lab is pointless. I shall never start a thread there again. My inital purpose of this thread was to point out ship/module errors that are apparent to me, that need fixing or addressing (and in some cases are quite important, if not urgent issues). Some people have posted additions in the same kind of area, others have branched off into posting about generic bugs in the game - that is not my fault, and I shall not blame others for others having done so.

Devs read this forum and post here as well. (TomB mainly, and he's the only one this thread really concerns) To post in the Ideas Lab would ruin any chance of receiving a reply from CCP, which is part of my overall aim.
Therefore I do not care for the opinion that the proper Devs wont see any of this thread. TomB reads this forum. It is assumable that he has, or he will read my contribution. I just hope he does something about the issues that I, and others, have or will raise here, and elsewhere in this forum.

Blackbird is off axis constantly. Always looks like it is twisted several degrees to the left of center (most noticeable when AB/MWD are engaged and the vapor trail points straight ahead while the ship seems to be in a perpetual left turn). Not exactly a big deal but annoying.

When Amarr shuttle is cloaked the cloaked ship model is too large for the shuttle and is only half the shuttle model, which prevents smooth transitions.
Mining lasers still look like they are occasionally firing into deep space.

There has been a bug occuring for months where you will entry-spawn at the station you last exited from in a system - while this is not necessarily a bad problem, it's something to be addressed in the future.

Aye i noticed that about the Typhoon, its looks like the polygons have been drawn in the reverse order giving them an "inside out" appearance(graphics programmers will know what i'm talking about), check it out and focus on that rear section u can see the bottom from the top and the top from the bottom. -----------

I think trade goods volumes need sorting out, because a great many take up much more space than tech2 components, and makes moving them en masse a difficult task, esp. for some players that have gotten a great deal of them for agent rewards.

- when you select "dock" from the system menue but are too far away to get to the station in one warp you come out of warp, then the auto-dock feature happily sets course to the docking perimeter even though you need another warp to get there.
- this one seems also important: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=54889 - fix missile splash against pods (=accidental podkills/ loot kills), spawning the pod further away from the ship or adding a bit of invulnerability time. to counter, the signature radius of pods could be raised significantly. xxx Atea. |

* Stop splash damage initiating Uber concord pwnage. Wars cannot be staged anywhere at gates with missles due to noobs or innocents either wanting a closer view or deliberately flying into splash which is SO lame. If a vessel is splashed perhaps you should be targetjammed or take sec hit but should not be destroyed instantly.
