Kudos to NOS, you were fun to shoot at, but you kept going and that was when you worked well with CVA.
Hope you guys do as well elsewhere.

There's more to judging an alliance than the number of crappy low-value systems in Providence they have sov over.

WTF!! We're not pirates I never remember yelling yarr when I'm in providence, nor do I recall asking for ransom. Although, I remember being offered a ransom to let someone live, but we generally just keep shooting.
The first time I ran into NOS, me and a buddy were in cepters and they blobbed us quick w/ several bs's and a tackler. We killed the tackler and moved on.
GL w/ whatever carebearing thing you attempt to do NOS.

ding ding! nos had the best spot in providence, and it is still ****ty. spodumain ore, dual 1.1m spawns max.. and people wonder why the good players leave and the new players stay. providence needs a boost.

Just because NOS is disbanding doesn't mean we all have to be all *** and happy about it.
NOS was, for as long as I had played in providence one of the worst alliances I have ever seen. They are right their in the crapper with Brotherhood of Steel and Hammer's Slammers. They have no ability to pvp, they constantly carebear, and many many of their members die every day to stupidity which NOS never really cared about. There responses to any sort of hostile action was to blob up with a few bs and then blow up; and that in itself was a rare action indeed.

Edited by: Oosel on 05/07/2007 16:05:35 say what you will about providence be it rubbish for mins and spawns etc it always provides for quality entertainment and has always kept myself from becoming complacent about pirates as there is always a large contingent of them around........
having only ever been caught out by trevidian and his crew and losing a nightmare in the process it made me want to stay in providence even more just to hone my abilities at conducting daily business there.....
having said all that i will be sad to see Nos disband because it now means less eyes and intel for the area

I really dont understand why you go and say Piwat! at every single guy who shoots at you... its dumb and its shows the lack of brains of many of this puppet corps that currently exits has.
A real EVE piwat will shoot your ass till structure and then ransom your ass, or focus on killing your haulers to steal the **** our of them, on the other hand an hostile fleet will go to your doors and kill you on with an ON YOUR FACE! kinda attitude, those are only ppl flying to have fun killing nubs like Sylph NOS Hammer Slammers etc etc.
Now about NOS, i feel sorry for your departure cose you where like the easiest targets around, killing you was as easy as killing a baby puppy tied up to a tree. Less killmail whoring for me.

Fair well to NOS
First off from the very beginning there was a plan to put a Station in the QBL pocket. FACT
And yes for the most part the original members were highsec / lowsec corporations with one or 2 exceptions. FACT
but
What NOS did was to give some corps a chance to move out of high-sec / low-sec into 0.0 and stake a claim for themselves. For that they should be commended. In a time when most of 0.0 is taken and any attempt by a new alliance to take any space is squashed under the veteran alliances of 0.0.
CVA allowed that to happen and they should be commended for giving NOS that chance.
Now NOS did fail and was going to fail from the very beginning do to some poor internal decisions and it was only a matter of time if they where not corrected. But this is not new news as most alliances fail and in fact only a few survive the times and the challenge of 0.0 .
But I am rambling. So a personnel thanks to NOS, CVA, Widowmakers for giving the corp I was in at the time a chance to see what 0.0 is like. Despite how it all turned out.

Originally by: CHAOS100 I have to thank Hardin for the summary. After the long downfall of the alliance I am glad it has finally been laid to rest.
I would say though that the alliance had no remnants of huzzah left in it, the old "huzzah" has since moved on, and is being carried by No Quarter and the recently re founded alliance itself.
I'm not even sure why I'm posting this as it is ancient history. Me and my corp don't give a crap about NOS despite being former members. In fact, they managed to annoy us so much that when we left NOS we sided with UK against CVA in order to shoot them.
But what annoys me now is seeing all these people like Chaos crying, moaning, and saluting this dead horse, even after they stabbed it in the back while leading it. The founding corps of NOS, who would later make up Momentum, used alliance station funds in the billions of isk in order to buy carriers and other toys for themselves, then abandoned NOS and took the funds and the carriers with them. Of course, just like us, you also began to attack NOS and have fun with the dreads that you probably bought with their *our* isk. I'm not crying about that I thought it was hilarious that someone would actually bother to attack poses in providence.
But anyway, the alliance that you founded never mattered to you and the people in the alliance that followed you never mattered to you. I don't know exactly what does matter to you, isk, laughs at another's expense, killmails (mmmm... killmails), exotic dancers, whatever. But don't make a public display of mourning over NOS. Just have the decency to openly spit on the grave you dug and shoved them in.

Ok that has to be the funniest random flame attempt I have ever read... did you even read my post? i don't know what you read but link me to this whine moan fest which you appear to be re-creating in your own reply. i don't even know why you are attacking me over 'my' alliance... it was gaskin's alliance and his outpost fund, which unfortunately was a failure at the time. if you have problems I am not the one to attack... take your moaning elsewhere o/ --------------

Thats all I'm asking. You backstabbed a whole alliance, thats really hard work and you deserve some respect. Just say it, "I bent my alliance mates over backwards and I liked it".

Farewell to NOS from the uncles as well. Just a suggestion: maybe CCP might want to consider to place one of their memorial statues on one of the moon in QBL as a constant reminder of an outpost that might never ever be build, but has been planned for years.
