Right click the icon, select configure and change the team number to 75407.

Wow, my PC gets REALLY hot after running at 100% capacity all day. Might need to dial it down a few % to stop it frying itself...

Okay, that's 3 PCs currently running it (a dual-core Intel, my laptop, and my Athlon XP2600+ home-desktop)...
Will get my "test" desktop running it, as soon as I have chance to plug a monitor/keyboard into it.
Oh, and using the console-version on all (Intel & laptop are running debian-Linux, home-desktop is XP).

I'm toying with picking up an old ATI graphics card second hand and sticking it in my spare machine. It's own CPU is far too slow for anything useful, but GPU folding is MASSIVELY faster.

Flarg, the GPU client only supports newer cards. Shame, I'd found an old 9200 in a drawer

I missed that before. Wow nice machine, I could probably do something like that. We have alot of servers here that have bad caps. Wouldnt be to hard to fix the caps but alot of work :(

Any ideas on how to get more eve people to contribute? 
Currently we have 18 members which is cool. And we are shooting up the team table. Should be in the top 5000 teams in around 20 days :).

You could take out one of those adverts on EVE Files. Chribba might even be nice enough to do it for free, seeing as it's charity (but even if not, theres enough of us to foot any bill). Similarly, get an Ad set up on some of the fan sites.

Now nvidia needs to fix their stupid drivers, so I can use my 8 series gpu. they probably won't since they have their CUDA program... argh.
But Eve's team has certainly jumped up the stats... I'm impressed.

Bump for a deserving topic.
By the way, since many people have dual/quad core computers these days, it's worth pointing out that you can run one client per core (count the CPU graphs in task manager if you're not sure how many you have). It's quite simple to set up:- Download the plain-text client.
- Create a separate folder for each client you want to set up.
- Copy the client into each folder.
- Run the first client. A prompt will open and it'll ask you to set various options (make sure you set it to run as a service).
- Enter y when it asks whether you want to set advanced options, and when prompted, set the 'Machine ID' to 1.
- Set up all the remaining clients in the same way, entering a different machine ID for each client.
Alternatively, there's the SMP client, available from their download page, which is aimed specifically at quad core PCs. The instructions for setting it up are located here.
If you want to keep tabs on what all your cores are doing, try Electron Microscope III (mirror). Instructions here. Chime plugin (needed for visualising proteins in EM III).
