Should main characters list the other two characters, if they exist, in game as an extra tab under character info?
Possible outcomes: Would this cut down on spies? ID alt corps for empire wars? No need for requiring log-in screenshots in applications? ID absent members active in other corps you don't know of? Who's really undercutting you in the market?

2 problems:
1. That won't pick up (for instance) my alt, as he is on another account.
2. People might actually play the alt as a completely separate character, and thus any association with the main would be incorrect. -

How and what I do with the other character slots on my account is my business.
My 3 characters are 3 separate characters, if a corporation asks me for a screen shot of my log in screen then they don't have the level of trust in me that I require to work for them.
Would it cut down on spies? Probably, but then again spies should exist. I personally think that you shouldn't see someone's employment history.
Alt corps for empire wars: These are good things.
Who's undercutting you in the market is none of your business. |

Why not? PvPers build a reputation why shouldn't sellers/traders/producers build one as well? I think this can also move market PvP to war PvP. Is that a good or bad thing? It depends how you look at it, I guess.

I agree that spies should exist as well, but I think having three characters in one account makes it just too easy. Why would you feel spies should exist, but no employment history? Just as in real life employment history is a strong indication of how well qualified a person is. It is also a good tool for references.
I have been in corporations where I've been asked to create an alt character to help out during wars for logistical/tactical reasons. I would feel cheated if the other players could not create one because they had their slots full with characters in other corps where they go when things

I guess from a roleplaying point of view disclosing your characters wouldn't be such a good thing.

How about employment history listing your previous employer instead of all of them? Currently its impossible to spy with mains, so people make alts - but if you could hop into a "shadow" corp before applying for your target corp it would mean no alts needed. My whole stance on alts is that they shouldn't exist, both multiple accounts or in the same - but obviously accounts cannot be traced and are paying CCP so I wouldn't expect any action to be taken. Alts are used as spies and scouts, or to steal from corps before deleting themselves.

problem is mainly that you can have more then one account.
so to do this let 3 chars on each account train sp (thereby dropping down on numbers of accounts for alts). list all chars on the account in the info of any char.
remove the abillity to trade charecters around 3 month after the altering, so people will move their charecters together and a few accounts.
this would help alot, but still not remove the problem intirely but would reduce it greatly and would make a spy account useless.
(the info should state deleted chars that had been ingame more then 4 month too) ___________________________________________ Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded |
