I've only been playing a bit over a month, but I've watched how the various groups treat each other as well as who hangs out where and I think I've got the political layout correct now. I' sure this will make some people mad, but it sure seems to fit; ill throw postulate and reason for each one out :
Postulate : Moo, Biomass, and FE appear to be supported by CA. Reason : Moo showed up on FA's doorstep at the moment FA was massing an attack on CA. I have seen large scale mining ops via the map in CA space, but no real pirate activity seems to go on back there. This area would be a goldmine for pirates, but there are virtually none there (excepting the occasional frig rat).
Postulate : SA / MASS / Evol are slowly being pinned by pirate activity and mining ops in what used to be their space. Reason : During the less active times on the server, I see convoys of haulers run from Keberz down through 36H-NZ, and other convoys going through Xetic/IF space (immense and teneferis) into CA space. Virtually every night there is a lightly defended Xetic convoy that heads through immensia into CA space. These convoys seem to be immune to 'pirate' activity beween Keberz and 36H-NZ.
Postulate: Above theories notwithstanding, someone has to be financing Moo. Reason: Even with the occasional BP ripped off, their losses would cost more than they can pirate.
Postulate : CoW and Moo are related in some way (pun intended sorta). Reason : CoW and Moo operate right next to each other. CoW seems to be blockading the areas Moo has left behind and shutting down production by some FA friendly corps. This means they may be funded by the same groups, since their actions are working toward the same goals.
Another thing that actually contributes to some of these thoughts, is how Biomass and Moo have been doing some 'threatening' of CA. I suspect that is to take the heat off CA?
The political aspect of eve is fascinating. Looks to me like these 3-4 organizations are really about to 'take over', and very few even see it coming.
