Off topic but, what's the name / band of that song that's playing with the picture of the rebel? I can't seem to figure out who that is.

This is an extremely complex issue and for that reason, I don't think anything like a normal stock market can exist. First consider a few things. Stocks are at their heart supposed to be instruments for investors to share in the growth and profi...

7. Multiprocessors and Eve - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
Actually that does help. At least i know Eve probably doesn't have any serious concurrency issues with multiple processors. I'm still looking and trying to figure out what to get. Probably either go dual Opterons or dual Xeons. The PC market see...

8. War , what is it good for ? (warning prolly carebear opinion) - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Dust Puppy is right. Merc frigates pilots will have more skillpoints, and a lot more experience in pvp in eve. Find out the corp that hired them and make them pay a price. They almost certainly have far more to lose than you do.

A better option is to hit your shield boosters and hardeners, hull repairer if you have it, and log. I have found that most of the time, you can survive. Your ship has to last 30 seconds; i had 3 scorpions attack me at a gate recently and logged...

What discoporation said. Seriously, if you can find out who it was that hired the mercs declare war on them. If you find that they are in an alliance that 'claims' space, take your 80 frigs and move into that alliance's backyard. Frigates are f...

I play eve regularly on a laptop with a Radeon IGP320 (integrated chipset for Athlon) using 'Omega' drivers (modified higher performance drivers). I've also played it on an IBM T30 thinkpad with a non-integrated Radeon 7500 chipset (32meg). Har...

This node architecture they have is just total garbage. The only reason they would logically be using it is expense - 25 or 30 $1500US PCs and a couple of $500 ATM hubs is probably what they have. I work on a large unix box, capable of holding ...
