Today we had a small roving gang running around low sec and 0.0 of roughly 10 BCs. We got a fair number of kills in low sec before heading to the system M-OEEB. There is always a small gate camp there with Razor and Celestial Apoc.
We quickly killed the gate camp with no losses and were picking through the loot and corpses they left a the gate. Laughing at the fact that all their ships were loaded with corpses for some reason. When suddenly on coms someone reports taking heavy fire. Because the only ships left at the gate were frigates orbiting the gate at range we assumed they might have put fighters on us. We all start searching the area frantically as player after player reports taking fire and going down.
We can't find any of the fighters, the only hostile ships in space or on scanner are frigates and a cerberus at 150km off the gate. Realizing that something is horribly wrong, I tell the surviving players to grab what loot they can and jump out.
After jumping my pod out I look at my death mail and there are 4 battleships + change on it. I tell everyone else to look at their death mails and tell me what player ships and corps are on it. People report back roughly the same ships that killed me, all with short range weapons. Which means they were right on top of our fleet.
We have seen the new de-sync issues that affect a large percentage of the participants on BOTH sides of a fight. We are very sure the effect razor and celestial apoc were able to create was not a de-sync. During a de-sync your client stops updating properly. Ships in motion stay in motion in the direction they are heading, etc. The ships that were there through the whole fight at range kept manuvering, shooting, etc. We were able to access cans around us and other things you would normally not be able to do well de-synced.
I immediatly file an exploit petition explaining in detail what happened. I get a response within minutes that my petition was being moved to reimbursment because they only handle exploits in that petition category.
We are pretty sure that it had to do with the number of corpses razor and celestial apoc dropped at the stargate. It was over 50. That was really the only thing they did during the fight that we have not seen before.

Also, I'm not saying that the bajillion corpses DIDN'T to anything, but before you blame them, realize that yes, some people like to collect corpses.

This is one incident. It's a better idea to come to the table with more evidence/data than this before you start accusing entire alliances and corporations of cheating.
Otherwise you just end up sounding like an idiot.

Hummm... 10 players clients all suffering from the same "bug" at the exact same time. When we are killed by a group of celestial apoc and razor. I am sure it was a totally random event and had nothing to do with the other players there.
Edit: No way of knowing weather it was just those players/corps whatever. No point in listing out all the names of the players that they had there.

One time, I desynched in a system that I'd NEVER desynched in before. Now, the reason I think I desynched: I was hauling someone's stuff for them. See, I'd never done that before, so that must have been the reason. The end.

So umm you think there exploiting because you never saw them... thats new obviously teh BoB Dev hax has now been moved to RZR and Celestial or shock horror it could actually be a bug in the system and that was the cause I was involved in a fight tonight where Primary Targets were getting called for us and I never saw them at all and a that was just 30/40 people involved.
Just cause the game is screwy atm it's not Celest or RZR's fault it's the fecking game last ime I remember it this bad was just after the Red Moon Rising patch.
Oh and IBTL.

Originally by: Commander Nikolas Baseless accusation.
To make an accusation like that is despicable. The game would be better without people like you. It's a shame there's no libel in Eve.
But let's pick through the accusation shall we?
All of their ships were loaded with corpses were they? How many are you talking about? "Loaded" implies full, or at least a significant amount. You killed the camp quickly without losses, since you were only in BCs, I think it's reasonable to assume there were 5 pilots there. So loaded with corpses and you've got 500? 1000? corpses there. Turns out your killboard shows 4 kills, assuming you have posted all your killmails then loaded with corpses would imply certainly hundreds.
As far as I am aware corpses appear inside wrecks if they are looted, they do not float in space as independant objects. Am I wrong on this though?
I took a look at your killboard, I can find a loss which would appear to match the engagement you described. No corpses showing on the lossmail. Not a single corpse showing in any of the lossmails. You do realise that if there were hundreds then the chances of not a single being destroyed is, well, put it this way , go and buy a lottery ticket.
So then these corpses are supposed to magically create desync. So the simple fact that a wreck contains corpses causes it? I think not.
But you petitioned the loss - at which point the GMs disagreed with you and told you it was not an exploit and refiled it for you.
You win Eve.

1) Actually corpses do appear as seperate objects not in the loot, wrecks, or cans. 2) The numbers of corpses was listed: 50+ 3) If you don't believe the number go to M-O. They are still all there on the gate.

Question to the critics:
Yes, we have all seen the new de-sync issues even in small gangs. Has anyone here ever had it happen to the whole gang?
We have been in battles were it got so bad that most of the players had to re-log... but there are always people who don't de-sync... people who update everyone well they re-log about the battle. Secondly in all those battles it seemed to affect players on both sides...
This case was very different. None of our players noticed any of the key signs of de-sync. None of our players saw any of hostiles.

He thinks COAD can help him because he'll "expose" Razor and CELES for the horrible haxors they are - or aren't.
You decide!
In all seriousness though, to the OP. CCP decide to desynch your gang and not theirs, and distinguish between the two opposing sides by a bit of clever coding introduced in Rev2.
Essentially when you sit in front of your monitor (CRT or TFT) the electrical field used to power it is affected by a number of factors. None of these short of a magnet very close to the screen (try putting a speaker on the glass) will affect the actual image you see. However feedback from these will affect the reflected signal the monitor receives. It's not set up to read this signal, but because the whole thing forms an electrical current, and the frequency of the fluctuations is far removed from the frequencies used to give the signal it's possible for your graphics card to look at the data from this feedback. One of the things that affects it is human brain patterns. When these are "reflected" (reflected isn't exactly correct, but it works for this explanation) it can determine some aspects. It's not able to do complicated things, but it can tell a few basic factors. One way to prevent this is to insulate your head.

I'm of the opinion there is some sort of exploit being used to cause these types of things. We had it happen to a Uni fleet as well. One domi jumps into our large bubble and we engage, then as our far side scout reports allies of the Domi arriving, every gang member in the bubbled system's essentially goes link dead. We can no longer have any effect and the other side just jumps in and wipes out the fleet. From the way our com chatter went, this happened at the same moment to every member of the gang, except the scout.
I think someone has found a new way to cheat and I hope that when CCP figures out how to stop it, they perma ban and destroy every account that used it.
