If it isnt updated after you saved you xml file to the C:\ drive and clicked UPDATE, then its cause your Excel dont support XML update. Then you need to enter them manuel in the DATA sheet

Great sheet. One small problem... my current setup has one MLU I and one MLU II. As far as I can tell, you don't give the option to mix and match different models, just multiples of one.

Seems like it would be much more useful if we had the option to manually input our skills. I realize the xml upload is designed to make it easier for players, but for some it just makes it harder. ------------------- 4 8 15 16 23 42 108 |

1st You find the item you want to build in Eve-online item database, and enter the mineral needs in the sheet yourself.
When that is done you can set the ME lvl. Then the sheet will calculate the mineral use at that lvl. Form the mineral use, it will calculate the price of minerals(build price pr item) by using the imported mineral price. If using a BPc then it will also calculate the price of the BPc in to the build price, also taking number of runs in to account.
In the blue field on the left side of the BP, you can set how many runs you want to do. Then in the top right side of the sheet, it will show you how much of each minerals you need for the production and how much of each mineral you are missing so you know what to buy or mine before you can start building.

I don't know if there is anything you can do about this, but the update buttons seem to be broken in Office 2007.
Clicking on any of the update buttons (except for the one that takes you to this thread, that one works) throws this error:
"Cannot run the macro 'Ore Mining & Ice Mining & Production Calc & POS running 6,2.xls'!UpdateMarketPrices'. The macro may not be available in this workbook or all macros may be disabled."

This looks more like your macro security level is too high, you should set it to maximum Medium.
so in Excel, go to menu TOOLS -> Options. a new windowe opens, select the Security Tab. In the botten click on Macro Security and set it to medium.
i hope that solves it

Edited by: Alaris Nightshadow on 20/10/2007 11:13:03 I'm a little curious as the the formula you are using to calculate which ore to mine for the minerals. Specifically with Mexallon, the best ore per m3 is Plagioclase for Mexallon, not Kernite.
See this site for Which Ore gives the best yield per m3 for a given mineral. ----------------------------------------------- "I am a Mining God!!! but a PvP noob" |

Clicking on any one of the buttons will update all data in the file, also you character data as long as you have saved the character XML file to your C:\

It does not work to upload your character data on the latest version. Since I prefer to do that then adding them manualy, I would appriciate if you could make it possible once again. Thanks for a terrific sheet! :)

It seems that the XML file from the character page has been changed, so i will have to find another way to import the data if this in fact is a permanent change to the XML file or just a bug. But if it isÆnt a bug then i will see what i can do to make it work again.

Edited by: Tai Shogun on 31/10/2007 18:11:22 Hi
I downloaded this sheet, and it looks great. Just one thing, the import of xml data. Is there another way to do this. I renamed the file to xml.xml and saved it in C: but i get this error msg. Have been nice to have a button just to update character and find it manualy by browsing to it. because it dont work now. Maby i done something wrong.

it would seem you are doing the right thing, but there could be one thing you are doing wrong, If you renamed the file after you have downloaded it, then it could be that you are not renaming it to "xml.xml", but infact "xml.xml.xml" that is because *.xml is a known file by windows, so it haids the file type.
Try this, Download the file again and before you save it to your disk drive, make sure it got the right name.

I think it would be possible, problem is I donÆt know how to do it myself, but I might know someone who does. For sure it is an issue that im thinking about implementing.
