On my system the above error generally appears when Excel 2003 files are translated to Excel 2007.
I have not seen where it creates any problems with using this spreadsheet.

yes i will think about adding a Backup/restore option for the data sheet aswell.
new version 12,4,8
This version contains the first release of a T2 item production sheet. I have not yet tried to build any t2 items myself, so please make sure you check the number before you go shopping for material.
Also new, the sheet has been changed to office 2007 so users of Office 2003 and earlier, needs to download Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack to be able to use the tool. ------- Ore & Ice Mining T1 & Capital & Rig Production POS Fueling and Reaction Minerals to Ore calculator |

I might be screwing something up, but I have a problem.
For T2 ship production, I enter in all the component information, amounts and prizes, stuff like that. However, now it tells me that I need like 200 million in production materials, while the actual production cost of the components combined is only around 135 million. I rechecked this by adding up all the costs under 'build price' for each component and it comes out to the exact same figure that is shown as the build price for the T2 ship.
So I have like 70 million that is unaccounted for here. If I need 200 million worth of material to build a ship, then logically speaking shouldn't the building cost of the ship be the same as that number or maybe even higher?
I'm confused!

Its not really clear to me what you problem is or where. Maybe you can tell which ship you are trying to build and is the blueprint a original or copy. is your skills entered correctly? im sure if this was a general problem with that big a dprice difference then everyone would have noted. Maybe you are also building t2 components at the same time as you selected the ship? that way you get dubble t2 material need. To build a ship all you really need to do is, enter your skill, find the ship you want to build, set the ME, and then enter how many ships to build in "cell C25" do not add t2 components on top of it. you write "I enter in all the component information, amounts" this dont seem right to me.

After messing with it some more I came to the same conclusion, haha. I indeed had set the ships and the components so I got double the cost for materials.
My mistake.

Thanks for this great Excel Sheet :) I was having some troubles updating the prices from the web, but now that I have a "fresh" Windows 7 installation it's all working fine (or so I think).

Edited by: Drizzd on 05/02/2010 13:30:54 Well honestly - I love your excel-sheet ..
but there's one point that drives me a bit around ..
why the heck does your sheet take the LOWEST Buyer-Price of my Region - that is for T1 Rig-Manufacture. According to most Trading-Guides and my own experience you have to buy stuff at least at the same level as the HIGHEST Buyer in Region - else nobody will sell his stuff to you. And if not from Buy-Orders, it should at least take the lowest Sell-Order to determine the price - lower you can only get with Buy-Orders (again according to my own experience)
thanks and keep up the good work

which price you use is totally up to you. I import Buy, Sell and Avg price from eve-central, but you are free to select what ever of them you want to use, you can even enter your own prices and use them, for a more precise build price. ------- Ore & Ice Mining T1 & Capital & Rig Production POS Fueling and Reaction Minerals to Ore calculator |

Awesome spreadsheet!!!
Ive loved tweeking it and using it to help me build things over the past few weeks
Only thing i can think of that i would like to change though would be the ability to Edit If not all the boxes that i can currently not Edit.. as this would give me more freedom and allow me to customise skills that i could get and stuff like that
Keep up the good work though.. Looking forward to the next Release (if there will be one)

Awesomeness!!! This is sexy!
Version 12,4,8. Noticed a little bug on the "Ore" sheet: something is wrong with the Pyerite "Buy or Mine" cell. I can switch it to buy only if I set Mexallon to buy respectively.

it seems you are right, I have corrected this, so it will be in the next release.

Im not sure what you see is a bug. What happens is, when you select to mine Mex, then the sheet most likely advice you to mine Plagi.
When mining Plag to get the needed Mex, then you not only get Mex but also Pyer, so if you ask to get 250k Mex and 400k pyer then if you mining plag you will also get about 500k pyer, so you already have the needed pyer, therefore you dont need to mine/buy anymore. That is why it looks like nothing happens when selecting Buy, because you already have all needed minerals. To test you can try to say all that you need to mine is pyer, then you can see things change when you select buy or mine

Quick question as i'm always worried about spyware.. Has the document and the macros been tested safe? i.e not keyloggers or nothing.
No offence OP, i'm just continually paranoid about this kinda stuff

not sure why it would tell you its an OpenOffice, its an exlm file, generated in office 2007. maybe you didnt download the compability tool from microsoft, if you are using 2003.

That is normal, the character import does not contain names, all skills are called skill. It doesnt mean anything though, the sheet still works. Only reason for the names are for the people using OpenOffice or other office programs where they have to enter the skill lvl manually.

yes, the BPc price bug is fixed in the comming release. However i do not see the bug you mentioin about damage controles, mine says i need 1 Fernite Carbide Composite Armor Plate so i think you have entered the wrong skill lvl maybe. ------- Ore & Ice Mining T1 & Capital & Rig Production POS Fueling and Reaction Minerals to Ore calculator |

Hi there!
Just wanted to say great little program/sheet so far, does exactly what I want it to do.
One thing I can't figure out tho, once I've modified the sheet with api/etc it doesn't seem to save it. I'm using Excel2k3 with the compatibility pack, could it be that after converting it can't save it properly? It wants to save to a temp folder rather then just overwrite the original.
Thanks! -Athas

Iw looked in to this problem a bit, and the reason for this problem seems to be related to the new T2 item production sheet. Some of the formulas are longer than MS office 2003 can handle, that is why you see this bug im afraid. If you never use the T2 production sheet then you can simply delete it from the dokument, that a fast workaround.
Originally by: LilRemmy Is there any way to get rid of the BPC prices for capital ships?
The BPc = "capital component BluePrintCopy" If you do not have all the original Component Blueprint, then you need to buy the copies, which cost isk, therefore the price is shown in the build price. To avoid this, incase you have all the original blueprints, then scroll down and set the component blueprint to original, they are set to 5 run copy as default.
Originally by: EnilToor BTW, great sheet. I think everyone who uses this spreadsheet needs to donate in-game ISK to say thank you for the sheet.

Hey just wanted to say great sheet.
One error I have noticed with the new T2 item production there is an issue I run into where it says blueprint not found when trying to build hybrid weapons below the SC rails, I have to run the recovery so that might have something to do with it.
Cheers
