Yep that works, but he will usually notice you not in gang as you drop from warp. Better still if you are quick, as you drop at the safe spot, when he starts to lock you, leave gang. The aggressor will probably have his scram active. This will bring the wrath of concord onto him, this is the risk to the scammer, and is also why it is a legitimate tactic This is the nature of EVE, people are ALLOWED to come up with traps, it's a sandbox. They got nothing for these two kills. As you can see I lost rather a lot though. These boys are blatently exploiting a 'loop hole' in game/gang mechanics to their own advantage. And like other loop holes it sould be closed down or at least confined to low sec space. I fly in high sec because I want a stress free game.

And if you were doing it to help them (the social engineering part) why not just do it in a throwaway ship?

He was after my Rattlesnake and my mates Raven. Both of us still had our WCS's on from scouting some low sec area before running the mission. So when Vasili attacked, we just warped out. We were going to change our loadout but my mate saw Vasili at 4 different gates on his way to run the mission. He swore to god he was being followed, i laughed at him at first, however he was right. Sorry you got jacked but now i really dont trust anyone but corp mates for missions! Close call for me, but an eye wakening experience none the least.

Try reading it sometime. If they are good, you won't receive such a warning. :) Caldari are the plague of EVE, little whiners that must be cleansed from TQ.
