I like to say this is the most complete collection ive seen now. Would be nice if players could sumbit a few pictures of new vs old versions at very similar angels to see the differences.

I would also like to say that there seems to be a series of pictures demoing the engine and then the new models themselves, the megathron is the prime example showing the differences with the demo pictures and the current pictures.

Wow, these new graphics look fantastic. Good job on the list mate. I'd rather they sorted out current lag issues first, though.

The new graphics are nice and all, but the windows in Amarrian ships look so ridiculous :( Bright bright solid yellow, not good.

yes it runs on DX9.
the current one doesn't use an DX lol. it doesn't even use your GPU which casues a lot of people with dual core CPUS (which eve doesn't use either) to get lag.
so yeah trinity 2.0 and the graphics update the win!

If anyone has looked at the Ferox image... I don't see the asymmetry in the second wing on the right, which was shorter and bent down, in comparison to the left one.
AWESOME, that CCP is getting rid of pointless asymmetry in vessels their pilots would hope can actually move in a straight line... and wouldn't end up flying endless circles?
Does that mean we can hope for a Raven without a crippled wing? Caldari ships where both halves were designed and built by the same factory..?
While you're at it, you could get rid of those parts of the Raven's under-construction that look like someone screwed together a few things from the local hardware store... I mean that "bridge" on a stick that is attached to the under body of the ship with something that looks like standard metal parts they use on stable doors...
And don't forget, you can over-do it with bump mapping... just look at X2... it took Egosoft till X3 to figure out how to use bump mapping to the benefit of awesome looks and overall realism...

X3 looks good but all the special effects suck! Most of which arnt any better than X2 or 1, you ever blow up a captial ship? its the dumbest thing in the world, you'll get either A. a scaled up mini explosion effect(when scaled up it looks very pixely) or B. the ship just disappears.
I hope ccp does something about the effects in eve and not just the looks of the ships.

Good thing I can just scare the pilot into ejecting in that game, hack his ship's computer and remote control it to fly to a nearby shipyard for repairs =)
But my favorite is carefully pushing asteroids into competing stations, and nobody has any idea how come that station got destroyed by an asteroid...
Here's wishing eve would receive some automation capabilities... ya right...

I'm happy to notice no Raven image yet - I can only hope this means some extensive model re-working.
I'm rooting for a much more jaggy, thinner, horizontal wing adaption of the current blocky crapheap.
Maybe they could knock off a high slot for a mid (or even a low, really) while they're at it, too.

Latest info:
The graphics update is covered in a recent dev blog which states, among other things, that the FIRST graphics update will take place in NOVEMBER or DECEMBER and will include stargates, stations, and ships.
Now excuse me while I run to the nearest computer shop to start panic-buying upgrades.

thank you for the post sir. indeed awesome pictures, i've seen some of the dx10 client progress with the textures aswell, but these seem newer and more updated, and it does look fantastic, i'm sure that a lot of eveians will be very happy with this and revitalize the sensation of flying a brand new ship and a whole new satisfaction of everything they hitherforto have done in the great online universe that is eve. offcourse we do know that ccp tends to, let me put it as delicately as i can; shall we say, take their time to get things done properly before releasing it inside eve. But this is definately without a doubt something to look forward to
