CamMan Evolution Band of Brothers	Posted - 2007.07.27 14:30:00 - [12] fight lasted well over an hour, Shrikes titan was fine at our POS then he was gang warped to a planet and it got a little bit hairy as he was desynced. his DD timer ran out as the fight past 1 hour, he DD again and took a lot of hostiles down, eventually the got out. A small 20 BOB gang was camping the okeo gate inside 66-. RA gang jumps in and kill the camp. RA gang is ~50 people strong at that point and is huging the okeo gate in 66-. Shrike (B) logs in. Three BOB dictors warp on insta, dropping three bubbles, encaging the whole RA gang and expecting for some aggro. (OMG WE DIDNT SEE THAT COMING) Noone engages, Shrike gets on the grid. Shrike fires DD. But all RA forces already jumped back in okeo. RA jumps back into 66- Shrike is on the BOB pos, outside of shields (can't tell exact distance) Whole RSF gang warps to the BOB pos and starts engaging the support fleet. BOB support fleet gets heavy damage. RSF gang focuses Shrike (66- has a cyno jammer in it - no capital ships allowed in system - unless they're logged inside the system, like Shrike and Chowdown.) Shrike gets blocked by GS carriers, so he can't get to the shield POS. Fight still rages when we see chowdown logging in. RSF gangs warp out once Chowdown logged in and got out of the POS with his Avatar. Someone will have to add the rest, i got desynched and couldn't do anything else. It was loads of fun, thanks to RSF and BOB. We even had a (GM?) in local, answering Shrike's problems i guess (he got desynched from what I understood) But anyways, the whole fight wasn't planned as such, was still a blast for both parties I guess. Don't speak english - f1, f2, f3

BoB and Allied fleet warps in and inflicts heavy pain on stragglers at which point Shrike is free. We warp to planet 1 when the RSF fleet warp in on the POS and took the opportunity to gank to RA battleships waiting there. Shrikes DD timer is now up - the battle having raged for an hour. We warp out, DD goes boom and RKK get their salvagers out. :)

P.S -- sad to see some of the "newer" RKK pilots smacking on the forums re: this fight. Old habits die hard...

Uber Daisey Dirt Nap Squad	Posted - 2007.07.27 15:47:00 - [64] Edited by: Uber Daisey on 27/07/2007 15:47:43 I have a juicy tidbit for people to munch on if they are totally in the dark. http://dl.eve-files.com/media/0707/ExeFile_2007-07-27_07-05-58-00.avi its a short 30 second vid and i'm snuggled up real close to shrike during the last assault before the last doomsday went off. the video stops about 1 minute before the DD goes off and by just looking at the footage you can tell the a dd in that situation would be devastating to 260+ ships with little cap support. i managed to survive the doomsday and wish i had gotten more footage of that, but by that time everyone and everything was de-syncing and you couldn't do a damn thing a great effort by goons and everyone to engage supercaps with little support and cyno jammers, good fight all, hopefully we can slay shrike in the future.

BOB support fleet gets heavy damage. RSF gang focuses Shrike (66- has a cyno jammer in it - no capital ships allowed in system - unless they're logged inside the system, like Shrike and Chowdown.) Shrike gets blocked by GS carriers, so he can't get to the shield POS. Fight still rages when we see chowdown logging in. RSF gangs warp out once Chowdown logged in and got out of the POS with his Avatar. BOB fleet warps in and inflicts heavy pain on remaining forces at the POS. At this point Shrike is free. BOB warp to planet 1 when the RSF fleet warp in on the POS. Shrikes DD timer is now up - the battle having raged for an hour. BOB warp out, DD goes boom and RKK get their salvagers out. It was loads of fun, thanks to RSF and BOB. We even had a (GM?) in local, answering Shrike's problems i guess (he got desynched from what I understood) But anyways, the whole fight wasn't planned as such, was still a blast for both parties I guess. [added the missing part] Sounds pretty good. Rare to see a report like this that gives props to both sides

I know you're joking, but the latest patch has really improved things quite a bite. The entire fight was very smooth for me, and my computer was maybe top of the line 2 years ago. Network lag was just as bad as ever, but maybe if we stick around for a few more years we'll see a patch for improved netcode.

On another note, I don't personnaly think that titan could have died as, on the long term time, the POS would have finished hammering the entire RSF fleet helped by the BOB gang. Shrike would have continued tanking the whole RSF gang reduced to BS/support because of the presence of the cyno jammer. But still, I was amazed of Shrike actualy using his first DD on a gang who should have been reported by his dictor pilots as totaly aggro-free. But eh, whoever was using Shrike sure had an adrenaline rush. Props should also be given to the RSF gang who, even if he saw the titan's tanking wasn't going down, still decided to stay on the field, hammering whatever was coming at them, Battleships, Cruisers, Ceptors, Dictors and even Fighters. And eh, to be honest i saw no-or very little lag. But yeah, desynch. I can honestly say none of the gangs was prepared for what happened; Shrike didn't expect the whole RSF gang to follow him to the POS, we didn't think Shrike would use his DD the first time on the okeo gate. Don't speak english - f1, f2, f3
