FYI: Plamacannons are all you need. ok, done derailing the thread. continue.... tbh, i think a 5th damage type would be a pain in the ass if they ever release them. they are likely just super, overheated, uber lasers? thats what backstory would have me believe

Back then the largest known energy weapon was a large turret on a battleship. Motherships where never heard of before then and Xlarge turrets on them where unknown weapons.
