This is the only item, that made it ever onto TQ... It just recycles your ship on the spot... I say that Jove shields are simply gateways to nothingness that exist around their ships, 1-way portals so all conventional weapons fire is useless. However, anything can get OUT from inside. Jove weapons are probably much the same, simply absorbing energy from the universe to shift their targets partially into nothingness, thus crippling or destroying their ships (can't take their stuff if they go all the way into nothingness). As to Jove drive technology, they probably just slip out of the universe and back into the universe at any point they desire.

I see Star Trek and then out of nowhere someone talking about Star Wars?

During the brief and destructive battle with the Amarr the Jovian commander sought to destroy the Amarrian fleet as fast as possible as to try and force them to route.
