In that time we have graduated more than 2500 pod pilots, brand new and three years old, from our PVP-BASIC course alone. Our PVP-WOLFPACKS course (a second level course) has graduated over 1000 pilots from the course. AGONY instructors take out gangs of pilots (who remain in their corps) and instruct them in basic combat and then take them out into one of the most violent areas in Eve and put hot fire to the metal of their training. In these 18 months, there have been thousands of kills, only the most recent of them recorded on the class killboard). AGONY doesn't guarantee life, it guarantees combat; effective, disciplined combat that will leave you screaming for more and unable to sleep despite 13 hours in a gang AGONY has long held the belief that combat in the Eve universe is not a matter of might but of brains. We use all kinds of ships to affect the kills and the visitors to our classes will be amazed at what can be done with a handful of well trained tech 1 frigates. It is audacity, brains, organization and discipline that defeats the blobs of Eve. Tactics are the king of combat and ingenuity is the secret weapon. Now PvP University (an interest financed and run by AGONY) is now entering a new phase of development. Whereas we would previously only run classes teaching the basics, now will be starting to run seminars in specific tactics that AGONY uses against its opponents in combat. These seminars will be much shorter than the long foundation fundamentals classes such as PVP-BASIC. The smaller seminar format will be much more accessible to those wishing to learn new skills without spending all day. The current seminar being offered is PVP-FLYBYS. This seminar will teach the student how to use a destroyer and the right fittings to demoralize and demolish a multi-billion isk fleet camping a gate. It is a powerful psychological tactic that is extremely effective. Upcoming seminars will include subjects such as "Fishing" (the process of baiting and killing interceptors with tech 1 frigates). Other seminars will include subjects such as high speed scanner usage, roaming, skirmishing, recon use, gang command and much more. Dont sit in that station afraid to undock. Normally we have many classes to accommodate the limited size of classes but because several of our instructors are busy IRL, we apologize for the fewer number of classes lately. I think you mistake the point of the op. It's not to destroy you. It's to teach newbies how to do flyby's. So that when they have the SP, and someday, actually intend to destroy you, they'll know how. Oh sure, they could have warped on top of you, then simply have ordered weapons free. They probably would have gotten kills. But that's pointless. The goal is to learn how to conduct flyby's, kills are fun, but they are a secondary goal. And I highly doubt they feared losing their ships - they probably piloted t1 destroyers with cheap fittings.
