a. It makes people unregister b. It makes people tell other people to unregister.
CCP, today you have lost 6 people from your subscription list. Not because of how dynamic your game is, but because the people who like to play your game as a hobby are the victims of your own failure to make high sector a secure environment for players.
The more people get ganked in high sec. The more they'll quit.

blah blah all you want but it is CCP's problem because the more people pirate in high sec, probability of them quitting is 90% more.
every person lost is 14$ out of ccp's pocket.

I suggest you look at a different game that's more suitable to your style of play. How about this?

Not that simple. Care to do the quantitative analysis on how many $ are lost if this turns into Hello Kitty Online?
Moreover, I don't believe that six people quit because you decided to move all the corp assets in an untanked T1 hauler AFK. And if they did, well, they probably weren't long for this game anyway.

there's a difference between "High Security" and Totally Safe" Space. In high security there is consequences to certain actions, of course consequences for stupidity are a lot higher as you and your five buddies found out. There is no "Totally Safe" space in Eve, sure staying docked is slighlty safer but you can still get scammed.. If you don't want to interact with other players go play the Sims or something
CCP should really introduce a stupidity tax

The whole point of eve's design is that it is a pvp game, no matter where you are, it's just a bit more complicated in hi-sec... CCP designed the game this way, it's always been this way, the problem isn't with CCP, its that you just don't understand the game.
Yes CCP have lost loads of subscribers over the years because of hi-sec piracy etc, but these people would have left at the first sign of trouble anyway, think about it, if you quit eve the first time you get ganked, how the hell did you expect to survive in eve anyway ?..

If you don't like the way this game is, go away, don't try and change it. Being at risk everywhere in the game, even in high sec, is a fundamental principle of eve, and I don't see CCP selling it out any time soon.

The more people get ganked in high sec. The more they'll quit.
a) The silly notion that EVE is a game for players that want to play a "safe" game is very much misplaced.
b) And if those people are equally deluded, they are neither suited for this game.
If you think that CCP wants everyone there is playing their game, then you are mistaken. EVE is a type of game that is harsh ... by design. Those who cannot cope with this go play other games where failure has no real consequences.
I think EVE became a few notches better with you and your friends leaving.

Your not ruining anything that actually matters. There are simple precautions you can take to prevent high sec ganking. Logistics Support players protecting your hauler(why I trained Logistic Cruisers for Caldari). Yet did not, you assumed that you were 100% safe in High Sec and paid the price of that. I have transported over a hundred mil worth of corp assets when I move offices and I know that there is a risk to that. Train Transport Ship I and buy a Blockade Runner and you will better survive transporting in High Sec. Riela Tanal "Never underestimate the element of surprise"

That would be again, they won't change it again like they did in the privateers nerf where they changed the wardec system because that alliance had as many wardecs running as they could afford.

None of you seem to get the fact that some people cannot be in large corps and just want to be left alone and solo without disturbing anyone.
why cant you respect that persons wishes. go do your thing in low sec, why ruin a loners day who never hurts or harasses anyone. We just want to be left alone, this is a real time game. people who are okay with your style of gameplay can go to low sec. people who are not are in high sec.
Where is the persons fault here. You say they dont know how to play the game. This isnt about the game, this about you people who are scum for picking on people who have to work like **** for their lives and come back and play eve for a short while everyday.

You sir don't know the principles of the game.
When I joined peak night was about between 3000 and 5800 peeps. And the piracy in Hi-Sec was much more brutal than it is now. Gee..we have how many peeps we have on now?
So get over your self, there is a lot more paying players playing this game that enjoy this enviroment than a few of you whiners. The games design was in place long before you decided to join and waste server space. It is what it is, and has always been this way. Learn to play the game or GTFO.
Oh yea can I have your stuff?![YARRRR!!](/images/icon_pirate.gif)

The Problem with your logic, is that you want to be soloing in a multiplayer game. That is not possible, if you want to avoid pvp then do not make yourself a target. There are consequences to high sec ganking, though they are not as high but they are still there. Riela Tanal "Never underestimate the element of surprise"

Cause you choose a target based on the value of what they have not based on what they do. Theres nothing about pvp that makes you a jerk unless your griefing which blowing up a hauler in high sec is not griefing.

1- I never challanged how long you have been playing. I was making the point that this "Dynamic" of pirating in hi-sec has been around since the start and yet it grows..why is that? And for years players complain about the same thing and leave. Yet Eve still grows. 2- As for your posting in your Alt..hey Idont really care. You are just being a troll. 3- And if you have been playing this game as long as you are suggesting you should understand the "Dynamics". Or did they have an Ebay sale?
So why don't you stop being a troll and post in your main.

People are trying to explain the game to you and all you are doing is being abusive in response, you are obviously a newbie or you would have been used to the pvp aspect of the game by now, some of the people replying to you have years of eve experiance and they are trying to help you, why not listen and learn instead of throwing abuse at them..
Even better get into a good corporation and get training and advice on how to defend yourself and avoid the scams, CCP aren't going to wreck the game for 200,000 subscribers just because you don't like pvp...
Theres a major differance between eve and other mmo's ..
other mmo's try to make you feel special, they tell you that you are a hero and attempt to make you feel good about yourself..., eve.. kicks you and beats you and asks you.. 'what makes you special, what makes you better than everyone else ?..' prove that you are better than other players..
Unlike other mmo's if you are successful in eve it's not because the game is holding your hand, it's because you've earned it, it's because you ARE better than others..
and the day CCP change that, is the day i quit..

i feel your pain, and all that.
but, what in earth would you have done with the billions anyway?
If you only do solo NPC missions , a basic drake/raven will do. No need to ever by a new ship.
unless you get blown up by meanies.
I mean, that ISK is useless, if you don't spend it ever.
its like when your computer breaks up, you get a reason to upgrade.
in eve you can upgrade ships, attitudes, strategies, corps, friends and what not.
you can basically do all missions after 6 months or less of play.
the third "run these smokes to that system" level 1 mission in a row confirmed me to never ever to do missions again.
haven't regret that decision.
