1. elite indy's 2. INSTAS 3. Overpowered Concord
but to continue traveling in high sec on autopilot in a tech I indy with no fitting and 1 bil in cargo , this is stupid and trust me only stupid ppl die in high sec .

CCP, today you have lost 6 people from your subscription list. Not because of how dynamic your game is, but because the people who like to play your game as a hobby are the victims of your own failure to make high sector a secure environment for players.
The more people get ganked in high sec. The more they'll quit.
1.- Dont throw the fault to CCP about your fault. You have elite indys, warp to 0km, wcs, inertias, .... ++what more you want??
2.- Stop crying. Learn the lesson for next time. Its easy dont recognize our faults, and blaming CCP, but isnt CCP fault. Sure you had petitioned it, so i hope you dont get the reimbursement. Let me reference the Darwin theory is happening here and this is an example. Some people are going to adapt to the game, and only the most stregthest are going to survive.

While I dont condone any action that would force players to play this game, I dont see you trying to back up the claims of six people leaving the game, not at all. It starts to make me wonder if you and six other accounts have been canceled that YOU own or if it's actually six other people who left the game?
You dont even show the people what you lost and any proof (chatlogs, screenshots..) of said players saying they are leaving the game or what items you have lost.
I may have left World of Warcraft and I know their terms may not fit here, but honestly there is one quote that fits this thread all too well: Screenshot or it never happened.

You know I said that myself about 4 years ago when the game was 7000, now as I login it is almost 30,000. Lets hope they lose you soon.

At the OP: if you dont like to end up shot to pieces, try a game like Maplestory. Playerbase is like 8-13 years old, everything looks warm and fuzzy and you never ever have to worry about dying at the hands of another player in so called safer regions.
Now go grab your sleepdoll and cuddle up behind that wondeful game.

Firstly Uninstall Eve. Its an MMO Means you will play with people wether you like it or not. Clearly not for those people.
Secondly install something like X3 since its single player and then you wont get disturbed except by NPCS. And they have infinite patience with your complaints.

every person lost is 14$ out of ccp's pocket.
So its not an ingame thing you can boast about not being 100% secure about, its the reputation your games gonna get for
a. losing the people who love the game. b. turning the people who love the game against them. c. ruining friendships between the people who play the game irl.
And at one point, because you have such a "hardcore" game, you're going to realise, you're the one sitting at the desk wasting your life away taking away people's hard earned work, only to sell your character after a few years on ebay for a few 100$ which you havnt earned.
in other words, you're scum in game and you're scum irl.
yep, each and every ganker is scum irl. waa waa all you want.
BTW, there are two sides to every story. EvE isn't for everyone and if you don't like it then you shouldn't be apart of it. The option you complain about is what brings people TO EVE as well. So, now that you have gotten your imperative waa waa out of the way I think you should consider that you aren't the only one that feels this way but there is a vast majority that don't. Get over it or don't play.
Not personally attacking you or anyone else with these thoughts, honestly that is one thing that makes EVE different from almost all other MMO's. It's not for everyone but, I think CCP does well with the game mechanics as it is. BTW, what about if your corp got war-dec'd? Would you quit because of it? If so, then you shouldn't be playing either. There are ways around everything in the game you just have to push at it.
Come to the dark side it's fun...

Edited by: Othya on 03/09/2007 11:26:13 MMOs are social games. Social games = real people. Real world = people who generally want to hurt you for no good reason, but are bound by social constraints (they say killing my neighbour and looting his home is illegal ) Logically MMOs = mean people. (simple enough for you, or should i draw you a sketch to further illustrate this simple conclusion? ).
Eve, in it's social structure simulates the real life in many ways. And what would get you in prison, or at least a restraining order in real life, does but little in the little Eve simulator. So it comes as a natural consequence that I, aswell as many others, have taken up piratry, and use any means necessary to get my hands on valuable loot, or just to ruin some poor bastards way.
Now, regarding your argument, that u're either a lone wolf: Assuming other peope won't hurt you just because u're a good person, is like assuming a raging bull won't charge at you, just because you're a vegetarian.
in other words: noone gives a baby caracal's rear thruster about you or your experience. All we look for is to better our experience, and if that implies the misery of some poor other player, so be it.
Want to up your experience? Stop whinig, grow some b4lls to fill those loose pants of yours, start using that God-given-too-long-unused-chunk-of-meat u'd like to call a brain (though some experts in the domain might disagree), play smart and u might just enjoy this wonderful game.
Instead of whining, use the time to better your play.

I have heard quite a few comments about the "ever increasing numbers of new players", does anyone have recent numbers to support a static, increasing or decreasing number of players. I am clearly looking for data showing a breakdown of paying players and not including GTC based accounts, etc?
Reading comments by players is irrelevant, whats the health of the player base?

This topic and the op make me giggle. I am fairly new to the game. But one of the very few things I know is yes, you're not 100% safe anywhere in game. If you don't want to get killed in high sec then there is really only 2 ways to go about it.
Option #1 Don't auto, Be aware of your surroundings and never put all your eggs in one basket Option #2 Subscribe to WoW or some other MMO because, Eve is clearly not for you.

Yeah EVE isnt for everyone lol, dont leave... to make the solution u sometimes need to esculate the problem. Wasnt there a time when there was no concord???
Oh I totally agree, but my solution to fix this problem is to encourage all players to kill boring missions and noobs off, no noobs no problems Also i wonder how long before games like this get rated as training grounds for RL incidents.
