Originally by: Kertscher Well, BKG is currently owned by us, M.PIRE
As expected, It seems that only when we traversed the entire EVE Universe on a mission to the South to assist MC did the likes of RZR & a whole bunch of other cling-on alliances actually get the courage to attack BKG, an empty system.
Even in our absence, our POS managed to kill over 20 of their battleships.
Our display of honour and duty to our friends in the South has been met with a cowardly, spineless and pitiful display by RZR & Co in the North.
We will be back soon, and when we do get back it will be interesting to see who among the rag-tag opportunistic cowards has the stomach to fight MPIRE & F4T4L face to face.
Pot? kettle? black? You talk like your big shot alliance has been taking over the map solo, for years. They have made a move, Check. Its your turn now.
I am sure they are shaking in their boots.
Well judging by the killboards, MPire/F4T4L/CoW/FS guys wiped out about 40 of their battleships in BKG (total of about 100 kills) whilst losing only about 4 bs (total 25ish losses) just last night.
Not bad considering they weren't supposed to be 'at home'.
If I was being naughty I'd say it looks like MM and co walked straight into a trap.

Edited by: Snake Jankins on 30/08/2007 09:08:30 Second fight was a bit too exiting.
Got targetted by a bunch of ships, got into armor and thought, time to prepare to get out. Since I had quite some buffer and I took not that much damage, I had the 'clever' idea to fire my mwd for one cycle to get away from possible scramblers like Gallente recons first and see, how my armor looks then. Ok, fired my mwd, nothing happened, armor went slowly down. I started to spam warp. Also nothing. For at least 30 seconds.
Suddenly when I was almost in structure, the mwd fired and it brought me back to 20% max speed. Not really the best thing, if you want to warp out. lol. My only hope was that the MWD really turns off right after that cycle without lag and that I survive another 10 seconds and insta warp then. Those 10 seconds seemed long, but then the mwd turned off and my Hyperion went into warp immediately. 37% structure, Damage control 2 ftw. ___________ I've never been so serious as I am now. No, really. |

You should look at the ALL killboards, not just one, two or couple. After quickly checking 17:30 - 00:30 from 10 killboards (of 4 alliance and 6 coalition), the BS losses are about 41 losses for coalition and 29 for alliance. And even that isn't accurate.
I wasn't there last night, but will be in future. Hope we'll have more pewpew, preferrably in non-laggy and non-desynched environments :)

Well i was either very lucky or the server performed extremely well last night. I had at worst 10-15 sec module lag. I managed to take part on three four fleet engagments in which i was primaried in all of them and still survived because i was able to hit the mwd 2-3 times get out of the bubbles and warp off. First time for me i actually could.. you know .. play during a fleet fight
Oh first time i got hit by dreadnoughts too
All and all for myself it was very enjoyable due to the being able to play part. Fight after fight after fight it was crazy good. Dont really care if we could have done better its was FUN.
So great job to our FC (crazy person whoever it was) good job out the enemy i really hope it keeps up like that.
Endure. In enduring, grow strong.

Always funny to see the people favoured by the lag gods always describe it as a good fight.
Nice job by RZR/MM in pulling the Northern Pets out of the fight.
As an aside, please can the "community" stop referring to fights as "pew pew" which is the most grating expression I have ever heard. Thank you. .

The fleet commander did well very few things went wrong really. Well done great work and I hope it continues this way.

Why is it funny? ofc people who could actually play had a good fight...
Bizzarely on my partners knackerd old laptop i had a reasonable time of it, grid loading, locking bug, module lag was all reasonable and much fun was had by your truly.
Looking forward to more of the same tonight
p.s grating is all the people who have no stake in whats going on jumping into this thread and detracting from what was, for the most part, a fun battle on both sides. SO in conclusion more pew pew 4tw

For someone with an older computer, the playability depends rather on fps and client performance, then on server lag. Battles like this are for me something between completely frozen screen (bad) and 1 FPS (excellent).
If primaries are not called in alphabetical order and you can only move the scrollbar of the overview once every 10 seconds due to 0.1 fps, first it's too high, then too low and if you have found the guy, someone else is primary, then crappy FPS are a lot more annoying than some module lag.
In the 3 battles last evening I was only completely frozen to zero once and crashed only twice and I haven't lost my ship, so it was a really good day for me considering these numbers. ___________ I've never been so serious as I am now. No, really. |

Personally I experienced pretty bad lag last night and I have seen comments of lag-free and lag-hell on both sides. I would hope for the sake of fair play that no one side had any advantage and that everyone had a good time during those battles.
Some nice sniping from RZR & Crew early on before the face-face slugfests.

Dear enemy (razor/MM) , your current strategy includes holding hands with TRI too, looking at killboards it's interesting how few razor and how many 3rd party alliances you have managed to sweet talk to come help even your enemies. Your own ability seams questionable and the constant slagging of how crap FALL, FATAL, MPIRE & COW are only fulling our resolve.

I had some pretty horrible lag. Watched lots of kills, but struggled to get near anything to tackle in mr ceptor. Always worse for tacklers when the lag is bad, because you are trying to move and react and cannot lock and fire until the mwd lag has passed and you are in position, by which time the target has probably gone.
Certainly playable for most though- as evidenced by the way RZR were able to pick off targets at gates with the sniper gang and (generally) get out just in time when the cavalry arrived!
Look forward to round 2. Its nice to have someone to shoot at that isnt a goon or an RA pet...

first of my few hit and run flights were not that bad (according to lag standards)
but just lucky for me... the one time i needed to warp out.... I was stuck at .3fps and no module activation. unlucky for my ship... but i needed a new clone... that pod smelled bad

Yarr enjoyed the action. First jump on the gate for me went fine. Almost no lag whatsoever. Was targetted and had to get out and actually made it. Got back in and then horror. I counted 30 frames in about 20 minutes if not less. Kept trying to warp out, saw my ship in warp with 40% hull left, then saw my ship out of warp and then just dead in a pod.
But hey, that's how things go --

Originally by: Neena Valdi What I can say I really impressed with how BKG node performed yesterday. The lag was minimal and game was actually playable comparing to v7-. Even with 400+ local the module lag was not more than 1 minute.
Yay CCP!
P.S. Props to Rzr and friends for bringing it!
At the first engagement I warped to the gate, saw and locked kill0rbunny, pressed approach, at that moment our main fleet warped in. That was basically my whole fight. No module ever activated, ship flew a straight line into the nothing. Hyperion locked me and killed me (+14 invisible ships as I found out later). Ship blew up, I flew without any ship for 5 minutes (no pod, no self destruct) my overview bugged, part of my UI vanished, chat broke. I DID (!) write a petition, pressed send petition and 30 sec later I got connection to server lost. At relogin I was at friendly pos (I gave the warp too command like 15 minutes ago). Compared to my V7 experience this was nothing. Anyway, wish everyone no lag and happy pew pew for the next days in BKG. .
