As FreelancerAlpha pointed out, your argument makes no sense. Why would the people who play this game for the harsh PvP leave the game for a game with very forgiving PvP? Where they can't even play as pirates, as death involves a minute's loss of time to the victim?
Oh, and how do you mean this game has gone "Carebear"? Do you mean that Concord are stronger now?
No, I'm pretty sure you're just trying to troll. Let's hope you're better at piracy than you are at trolling.

anyway, in my opinion a pirate isn't a pirate unless he attacks people who cant fight back. I have nothing against pirates, the idea is awesome to weed out the weak and pathetic people who shouldn't be playing this game. However, the OP is probably a pr-at who doesn't actually pirate, just kills stuff for 'giggles'.

Piracy still turns a profit, and as long as it does I'll keep at it. There are still plenty of idiots who forget to fill their lows with stabs, and still those who go AFK outside the station with control towers and faction loot in the holds of their industrials.
What there is a distinct lack of is pilots who engage me when I don't have sentry aggro. I blink, so there's no excuse...

It's been my experience that most pirates adapted to the WTZ change. I personally have found WTZ little comfort when BOTH sides of the gate are being camped
