Got home from internship at 17:30, launched Eve, 100 in FAT local, talk everywhere of an incoming attack so i bridge my carrier there together with A'tarius' Nyx and a couple other carriers.
Then my internet dropped so i spent awhile resetting my router, i log back in, fight going on at station, i go in for some rep support, 2 of our capitals get bubbled while many more reds come in. With the Nyx and Nid in trouble, the initial fight continues between the support fleets only, both taking heavy losses. After IAC retreats a bit the enemy focuses on the Nid which goes down slowly. At this point i was honestly doubting the end result as they had us outnumbered 2:1 almost. (in active pilots that is, the 50 sleepers in station dont count =P)
While the Nid dies, -A- and CVA show up with decently sized gangs and start working on the bob fleet. A friendly Chimera gets trapped for awhile but manages to get out in the end. Fighting slowly drifts away from the station with heavy hostile losses. They choose to regroup about 500km on the other side, giving us a few moments to regroup and rep as well.
..Later on, they warp in en-masse again at 150km range, all our carriers are at the station now providing rep support and our tackle fleet is slowly breaking down theirs. From this point on we are slowly gaining on them due to excellent rep support from multiple carriers and logistics on our side. Suicidal dictors manage to bubble in small parts of their fleet which are then quickly disposed of with the Nyx pilot active again. With about 100 vs 150 left in local they disengage, the time being around 20:45 ET.
As i write this there are still 200 left in local with about 50 hostiles among them, im not sure where the rest went, but it peaked between 300 and 350.
In short, an awesome fight which lasted almost three hours. Lag was omnipresent but do-able, and very few desyncs from what ive gathered.
Gotta go sleep now, early up tomorrow, but it doesn't look like its over quite yet :D
As for the 'score', i think this says it all:
Daily kills Kills: 259 Deaths: 137 Balance: 122
Daily kill value Inflicted: 10,624,197,867 Lost: 4,056,904,736 Balance: 6,567,293,130
(IAC pilots only)

Sounds like a serious defeat for BoB & Co., but much respect for bringing it!

Sounds like one of the few battles that are actually somewhat balanced and rage on for a while. For that, lag or no, I envy you lot.. even those that got blown up.

No caveats, no excuses, a very good fight. Both sides dealt with the same negatives (well, Allied forces probably had fewer friendly fire incidents...), and local was deathly quiet. There was plenty of win in FAT today for both sides to take some away.
Much respect to the opposition for coming. Much respect to our allies for stepping up and pitching in. There were plenty of moments when either side could have cut bait and bailed... plenty of moments where either side could have bumrushed and prevailed... It was incredible.

Sounds like fun, though I'm sure the ship losses due to desync will sting more tomorrow morning. And agreed, props to both sides!

I'm not a lover of Blob fights but gotta say inspite of the lag and such it was huge fun, warped out my ship 4 times in low armour and spent the final 45 mins of action with 0 ammo (having used 4500 rounds) just to try and take some heat. GF to All

They still won, weither it be 1v1 2v1 1v2.
But it sounded like a great fight.
"I went duck shooting not so long ago, I popped three and I didn't die once? who wins?" "Depends, were the ducks armed? Did they even load grid?" "I think we can assume the ducks desync'd"

For me I warped into the fight and got stuck loading the grid for about 3 minutes followed shortly by a glimpse of an absolute **** load of wrecks everywhere, and finally me sitting in a station with a new clone
The amount of lag was absolutely terrible for a lot of people and unfortunately really ruined what would of be a hell of a day.

To be fair, they outnumbered us 100 to 70 when we warped 4 carriers and a nyx to the station in FAT-
We just kept growing and then finally got our asses saved by CVA and AAA reinforcement.
Our gang was about 70 when we first started trying to get people out of stations and everyone together, 170 when BoB withdrew, by that time CVA and AAA had left I think.
Almost done repping the second cyno jammer now =]

Meh. Killboard chest-beating always backfires. We had CVA, AAA, and a few BOS that wouldn't be on our 'losses', so that's a little skewed. (Even if we import all of our losses from opponent killboards)

I was listening in on both IAC and -A- comms and it sounded like a hellofa fun fight, i almost wish i wasn't stuck in this corp for another week and could have joined in :P.
oh and according to BoBs killboard the numbers in the fighter were 186 bob and co vs 224 IAC and co. so it was a fairly even fight. Poor jimbob got killed though :P -------------------------------------------------

Is this what BoB alts will be saying when they don't even have K/D to fall back on? I'd just really like to know what the 'in thing' this season will be.

Hy mom, i`m in the pic in da thread!!!
Was one of the best fights i had in months. For the trolls, this battle was all about FUN. The job we wanted was done, we were preparing to go home, the bs gang was stretched over 4 systems when IAC decided that booze is for everybody and got the party started. And damn they know to party.
In this fight numbers do not count very much until the very late of the battle, cause most people comed back in second or third ship. Result CVA, -A- and IAC had the field due to reinforcement flows. But i do not think everyone involved in the fact care after the fun they had.
So excellent work for everybody, Thx for party IAC see u next time (and please bring some exotic dancers)!
