judes23 Kissaki Confederation Slammer's Republic	Posted - 2007.09.05 03:59:00 - [1] Ok guys, i was in my home system, with my corp leader, nemississ. Nemississ was all like, id own you judes id own you. So i am like, ok, you know i am in a tech 1 battlecruiser, with ALL tech ONE fittings, while you HAVE FULL TECH 2 set up, in a tech 2 assault ship, WITH tech 2 drones. We agree to the battle to not kill each other. <--now remember this We warp to planet 7, and i started to lock him. i turned on my tech 1 webber, and the battle has begon. He sent his TECH TWO drones on me, and i turn on my TECH 1 emengy damage control on and i start to orbit around him at 7.5k. He gets close to me, he starts to NOS me, and im like, ok. So i get alittle more distance from him, and then the DPS SLOWLY came his way. By the time i was into armor he was in shields, and i thought i was going to lose this one. then i got more distance from him, and i got a few 100 DPS on him, and that was the end for big, bad, nemississ. Nemississ is yelling on ventrilo, "HOW ARE YOU NOT DEAD YET!? HOW AM I NOT WINNING!" and Nanfoodle, and cambarus where in the same channel listening to this, so you can ask them about any of this. Im in about 60% - 80% armor, and i turn on ONE TECH 1 armor rep, and im pretty stable from his DPS, and then i get more and more hits, and he is half armor, he is really starting to freak out, and turns on his tech 2 reppers and he is STILL LOSING! so now, he is getting closer into hull, and i do more DPS, then he yells more things at me, and i stop, he was at around 50% - 60% hull when i stopped all my guns and webber, because he didnt want me to kill him, so i stop, and he orbits me at 500 meters, and he then is telling every1 he won.... and i am like. WT? So after winning the battle, and he is still shooting me with all his tech 2 things, and i warp off, and he says, "I WIN!" and im like dude, "we had a deal. i won, face it. i was in a tech ONE BC, with ALL, and i mean ALL tech1 fittings." in corp chat, he just said: nemississ > btw i havent changed anything so if you ahve its auto loss ___ here is the picture of the battle, i didnt get the one of him in deep hull, but its close enough... http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r180/trig12/nemgotowned.png NOW! what do you guys think? and nemississ... dont itch about it, it was a fair fight, and i won in my tech 1 BC, anginst your tech 2 assualt frigate. =)

Don't let them drag you down to their level. My advise: find a better corperation.

I don't mind competition with others in my corp, but if what is posted here is accurate (and remember there is always at least a second point of view) from your perspective then you have (from your perspective again) a CEO who does not handle pressure well at all and needs to win at all costs. If this is not a situation you can have fun in (I would just mess with him off and on in that situation, push competitive buttons till he blew his stack and lost a cap ship in a fit of frustration and rage), then leave and find some other place. If you can be accepted in another corp in the same alliance, so much the better.

So your amarr BC and his ishkur was only going to go one way.

He's just being too proud to admit it. A lone assault ship shouldn't really ever be able to own a battle cruiser. A heavy assault ship maybe, but not a frigate. That's because a well-fitted assault frigate can happily bring down NPC battlecruisers. While my first thought was that you need to find a better corp, one with a CEO who's emotionally older than even you, I think Andrue has a better suggestion. I used to get It. Then It changed. He would be a a idiot for thinking he could win in a fair fight, delusional if he thinks AFs defeat BCs in general, and pathetic if he wanted to fight you assuming he would win due to his skill/fitting/experience advantage(if i duel new players in my corp i first advise them a proper fitting, then fight them in a comparable ship so they get a feeling for the difference skills make). Get into another corp, preferably one that has a CEO which you can look up to. Chances are if your ceo is a idiot he will taint the corps reputation some way, you dont want your name too closely connected to such a corp(delusional ceo can be fun though ).

But like others said, no real reason to get worked up over it, the world (eve is no exception) is full of people like that :/ I'd probably pod/pop someone if they did that the next chance I had, even if it meant leaving a corp. Well, since I'm in an alliance I'll base it down to ye olde corp level. Ceo or corpmate wants to duel on TQ(since it actually matters not to kill if that's the agreement) and they break that rule, or if they lose and continue to gloat they won. I'd probably pop them, sure I may get kicked out of the corporation... but think about it... Do you really want to be lead/ran by someone with that behavior? I'd say more, but not much I can really say.

Secondly, people may mature as they age but at 18 most still have a ways to go. If I were to pick an age by which most people are as "mature" as they're going to get I'd say 27, though it can always be earlier, occasionally much earlier. Ultimately there's always a second side to the story, for all you know he could have gotten desynched and honestly thought he was winning. However, regardless of the circumstances your CEO handled himself poorly under pressure and is clearly not fit to lead in battle nor in a fun corp and you want someone that can bring you both. You should be flying with mates that in RL you'd split a pitcher with or whatever the hell 14 year olds do....when did I get so old?
