Some ships you hardly ever see because players simply regard them as useless, but which is the worst ?
Which ship out there would you passover in favour of any of the alternatives ? Which ship is so badly outclassed by all it's counterparts as to serve no useful function ?
Even newbie frigates have a role and serve it so just being weak doesn't qualify. The worst ship has to be bad at what it does, have rivals that do it much better, hideously be overpriced, revoltin to look at, have some fatal design flaw or some combination of all the above.
Ships I rarely see - Auguror, Scythe, Breacher, Ares. Are these the worst or are their other contenders ?

Breacher and Ares are far from "the worst"
Ares is still reasonably fast and is a great tackler... oh no, it lacks the dps of other inties, then again... eh different arguement for a diff thread.
Breacher ont eh other hand is fairly fun/handy to have at times. It's like the Inquisitor, which both are a poor man's wannabe kestrel.
I do know the breacher is a blast to fly at times, because not many basic T1 frigs can randomly spew their weapons to 40 something km with max skills, not worrying about tracking.

Worst, I don't honestly know, they all seem to serve their own role if you can put it to use, augoror isn't a combat ship, just a cheap "I fling cap at you" cruiser.
The only true worst ship I'd have a stab at is... possibly the Bellicose, the TP bonus alone seems somewhat useless, unless you specifically need to target paint the fire out of a target for cheap, then not many can compete.

Yep _ I forgot the Bellicose. It is probably the worst of the T1 Ewar cruisers and looks awful. Must be a strong contender for worst ship.
Ibis doesnt count - it is ok at being a nebie frigate and when it is all you can fly does its job.
Burst - ugly as sin and no better then any other mining frigate, but then the same could be said for the bantam so I reckon those two are more or less tied.
Any advance on the Bellicose for most useless ship ?

i disagree with the bellicose. i like the ship.
but then, i don't have T2 gun skills yet, so i like the TP to improve my DPS a little bit.
maybe it's just ppl. uses ships wrong? i don't think there is any "worst ship" if u find the correct role for each.
the bellicose has prooved to me to be a nice ratting ship, able to do lvl2 missions easily and i even got a few pvp kills with it.
actually... after the belli i tried a fleet stabber (lost to a gatecamp due my own stupidity after 6h. of buying it) and a cynabal (liked the looks, real nice ship except that missing mid slot... lost after 12h. to a pvp logon trap) ... back to my bellicose and was more lucky.

Maelstrom, does everything the Tempest does, only not quite so well and for more money.
And the Tempest is much more agile.

Maelstrom has a much better tank and does more DPS.

Crucifier is pretty bad. 3 meds and a bonus to the worst ewar and a cap bonus to lasers. The maulus at least has an extra drone and a better ewar mod.
Augoror is a cap transfer boat with some of the weakest capacitors out there.. Its weak powergrid means you cant fit 1600mm, hell even 800 to get the most of the %hp bonus. Its just a big mess.

Augoror's pretty astounding at doing what its meant to do, but you gotta go fully CPR+Peroxides to get the best. hell, cap booster 1500 at 30kms? it's not that bad for 5 mil isk total ;)

a little bit of powergrid would help it so much... and I feel dirty if I dont put a cap booster with its sweet cargohold

Maelstrom is great. Superb shield tanking capabilities when you got the skills. Don't know for PvP but definately good at missions/ratting.
Scythe is just worse in case of combat and looks, but it is a decent miner until you can fly barges/exhumers.
So I would give my vote to the Breacher and Auguror...

Combat: Moa or Ferox, runner up prize to the apoc (frigates dont count)
Mining: Procurer (Easily the most useless ship overall in EVE, ninja mining ftw!)

Maelstrom suck? Only good for sniping? What kind of server do you play on? Probably one without falloff rigs, barrage, eight guns, supertank and three gyro stabs in the low.

I love the Apoc for fleet. It has the grid to hold a rack of tachs, and the cap to run them non-stop along with the occasional mwd pulse.
