I was in Vexor with tech 2 weapons on and crap But I still Lost to a transport ship.
Any idea how, He attacked me. I thought he was stupid to and then I lost my ship.
I didn't think it was possible to make Occator worth fighting in.

lots of slots + great resistances + able to fit cruiser-sized weapons + enough midslots for tackling. 'nuff said.

I just looked at the Occator in my hangar and yeah, it has no hardpoints at all.
Are you sure you didn't attack him and you lost your cruiser to sentries?

Can't see a scenario where that would be possible, with 2 med slots and so little cap don't think an occator would have cap to smartbomb you to dead. Even with high resists, the sheer firepower of the vexor would be way higher than the occator, I mean 1 high slot with only the ability to fit a sb.

An occator can tank a vexor. Medium cap injector with the massive hold full of cap boosters, MAR II and hardeners gives it a good enough tank, especially if the vexor is fitted with hammerheads. The Occator can get very high term resists pretty easily.
Edit: Booster doesn't fit. I'm confused as to how he did this. I'm sure the OP must have been shot by the sentries.

I think what happened was this: he had a lock, you opened fire and got killed by Concord or sentries. There may or may not have been some additional confusion caused by NPCs shooting at you.
In the old days there were also snowballs.

Unless the op was afk during the whole fight, if the occator fit a cap injector he would have to lose the web, no web and the vexor would got out of scram range, hell, he only has to get out of smartbomb range.

As long as your weapons fire can beat the max shield recharge rate then any ship can be destroyed when the pilot is afk

Okay so in theory he can tank fairly low skilled hammerheads by fitting 1x MAR II, 3x Beta cpr, 2x RCU II. Web, 20km scram II, Shadow Serp medium smartbomb and 2x Anti-thermic pump rigs. That'll let him tank 219 thermal DPS with no cap problems. But that smartbomb does 14 DPS which is nothing. Hardly even enough to break the basic shield recharge rate.
Edit: Okay since it wasn't a smartbomb it wasn't an Occator. A Viator has a turret slot and viators are sometimes used as bait ships. They can get mwd, scram and web in with a gun a fairly light tank.
To the OP, just look at your killmail and tell us what ship it was and what weapon he did it with.
