I've never lost a ship to a mothership, and I've survived carrier fights plenty of times. A maxed out fighter does 100 DPS on a non-gallente carrier. That times 20 is 2000 dps. A nyx can reach 3000 with drone controls. I really don't care what you think or how hard you smack about carebears and WoW, you're lying because a t2 fit tier three or drake cannot tank a mothership. It's that simple. So please, get out of this thread, and find one where your garbage is less likely to be spotted. Once again: Your numbers are hideously wrong. Maxed out fighter = 100 dps or 125 on the nyx. Times that by twenty. That CAN NOT BE TANKED BY A BATTLESHIP. I'm don't even want MS to be nerfed btw, I'm just pointing out that you're lying through your teeth.

Were MS 2 powerful b4 there little neft? Yes! Do I think MS need nefing again? No! I dont believe CCP ever intented a MS to camp low sec systems on the lookout for cheap kills but hay ho. I think the major subject of this topic was to find out how to get a low sec gate camping MS to move out or die. And the answer to that is, you cant unless you got a fleet of your own capital + a good sized support fleet.

DDD is burst damage, you just need a large HP buffer. the 2000-3000 DPS figure is raw dps. DPS tanks are worked out by multiplying HP recovered per second by the factor of damage reduction due to resists. A 1200 dominix tank, for example, reps around 230 a second and has resists around 80%+. The ONLY way you can tank a maxed out mothership with 20 fighters is by using faction/officer gear. The only way to tank a maxed out Nyx with DCUs is to do the above, with crystals. T2 fit ships do not tank motherships, regardless of what icome4u seems to think.

What do you expect? His smartbombs only instapop incoming traffic that can't take a few thousand damage (no resists), ie shuttles, frigates, some cruisers, and untanked haulers. And once again, a rokh or two can do exactly the same thing for 1/100th the cost. With the amount of money miz invested in that ship he damned well better be posting some wicked kills and only losing it to some serious teamwork. I'll support nerfing low sec motherships the day i see someone with a few dreads and a bunch of heavy neut battleships try to corner one and FAIL rather than just whine on the forums.
