OMG Yes!
I can imagine it now, the FCs of a corporation standing around a table discussing their next plan of attack and moving the ship models around to display tactics. Actual 3D representations of where to place the warp disruption bubbles around a gate and where to keep the fleet!

TO ALL EVE PLAYERS, tell your friends to post here saying that they would buy them and lets see if we can get the in the EVE store by the end of the year. Even though I know they would not stay in stock past they first 2 hours.

Originally by: CCP Wrangler I'm more of a put them on a stand on the bookshelf than hang it from the ceiling person, but whatever works.
Personally I'd rather see quality models even if they would be a bit expensive over cheaper but lower quality items.
Being a modeler myself (WW2 navy ships, mainly japanese), I would like them to be both, decent quality and affordable. Cheap junk from Revell or Matchbox (even though I find Matchbox to be okish) is just as bad as unaffordable resin kits. About Tamiya quality would be perfect imho. Good kits, but still relatively friendly on wallets.
Of course I don't even know what kind of 'models' we are talking about here, seems people have very different conceptions, like figurinesque complete metal thingies (not for me) or plastic kits that have to be assembled (thats what I want).
There is no 'n' in turret There is no 'r' in faction There is no 'a' in Scorpion There is no 'e' in Caldari There is no makeup in rogue drones |

Ok lets say pre-made and painted models. Not the kind where you need glue. Last thing we need is players getting there finger glues to the mouse because he was attacked while building a Nyx

Now the question is, who would one contact about liscencing rights to produce and sell such models legally? I don't expect CCP to be doing it any time soon, as a 3d model builder does not equal a scale model designer.

If reasonably priced (including shipping!) I'd buy:
Crow
Drake
Reaper
Gallente Shuttle
And maybe some others.
They wouldn't have to be fancy. Injection-molded plastic would be fine as long as the detail and color were good.

I absolutely would, but only if I can get some models of some asteroids to go with them.
Ok, so I'd buy some models even without model-asteroids.

Edited by: Cassius Longinus on 12/09/2007 01:05:48 I would be interested in one or two high quality models in the 50-100$ range. It's all about the quality for me though.
Cheaper ones would be cool to a point too, but I'm sure not as glorious as what I'm imagining.
