Would rats orbiting a different target have a chance of hitting a player ship? If a rat that was targetting you runs into you, that's no NPC. |

I have no idea if the op is lying or not but NPC ships do bump ppl if they are orbiting another player, I experience it a lot when I'm in a corp mining op, npc orbit the tanker and bump the others if the others are in the line of the npc orbiting rout.
Since they were working in groups and prolly staying close to each other with remote boosting etc. Then its possible that the npc frigs bumped them when they were trying to get out.

all the people that claim to be with him do the same spelling mistakes, which makes me believe that they're his alts. This is just a badly thought and executed plan to suggest people to fit smartbombs. Weaklings, too weak for 0.0 or even for low sec, have to resort to this to get a killmail 
If this isn't a cunning plan to get people to use smartbombs for that reason, then the OP is simply stupid and beyond help. I suggest trying www.teletubbies.com where you'll find cute flash games that will suit your skill level.

yeah you are also one of my alts because you make mistakes too.
oh and the npc ships were not orbiting anything but my ship there was nothing in space like wreaks or asteroids or collidable objests and no friendly ships within 13km that is when the support ship left.
the support ship was not going to return intime to support us again because he had to fly through acceleration gates.
you know i was alive long enough he could have come back i wonder why he didnt try hmmmm.
though i did say i was poped when i still had 28% shilds hehe.
i wonder what the reason to critique spelling.
we need a ban for those people reported to hurass others.
forinstance i would be willing to be banned if i can kick these people in the teeth and spell (you got stomped) with thier blood.

was in gulfonoldi level 4 agent in silence the informant mission. be sure to be over confadent and not pre allign. when you start to dye in the second stage. and you wish to warp but you cant align to anything because your webbed by 2 or more drones and you are being rammed by friggates you come back here and tell me im lieing or you want pics!

Doesn't surprise me, if you don't feel it is worth the effort to make your posts less insulting to intelligent eyes, why should you feel it is worth the effort to learn every detail about missioning...
Most likely you were scrammed after you already initiated warp, which means there is no voice message and your speed gauge just says warping but nothing happens.
And the only one harassing anyone here is you with your abysmal and intentionally (or at least extremely negligently) wrong spelling.

Had you posted this a year or so ago I might have found it mildly possible (though not the bumping part) since 'Silence' had a known problem in the second area of drones causing full aggro or the second person warping in pulling the other groups onto them. However the mission been fixed for quite some time and the 'need for speed' nerfed the number of NPC's you encounter by quite a bit.
1) I have never seen an NPC frigate in a lvl 4 mission bump me. This seems very improbable since they always orbit and tend to move faster than any battleship and thus can easily keep range, especially a webbed battleship.
2) Normally if you're getting bumped around it's because you're getting hammered by cruise missiles, they can knock you out of alignment. However, the second area of 'Silence' just doesn't have that much DPS. While it can be a challenging mission for newer players, a simple omni-tank setup can run the mission without breaking a sweat.
3) While I agree that newer players need to pre-align and be ready for warp. If your listed SP are even remotely accurate, you should walk through that mission without a worry. You should not worry about warping out, kill the BC's and Battleships and there is no way the cruisers and frigates can break the tank on a battleship that has been setup for lvl 4 missions. Never mind one that has logistics help.
4) Lastly, one smartbomb would not have saved you. If your tank had failed (and I really can't imagine how), you would not have enough cap to run the smartbomb long enough to kill off the frigates. 5 Light drones are far more valuable.
This warning of yours is really not all that helpful. If you are having problems with missions like this, it would be far better to join the 'lvl4' channel in game and ask for help.

And beyond what everyone else is saying... use drones, not smarties If your ship was properly tanked for the mission you could have walked it solo. If your ship supposedly lasted 15min after the last corpie died, if you were using drones, you would have cleared the scramming/bumping frigs and wouldn't have had to worry about them dying as you had full agro on your ship.
As said before... I say shenanigans!

Back on topic and i am not trying to troll or take part in any spelling debate, but there is a very important matter to consider...
Smart bombs as the OP suggested are aoe damage and therfore can cause damage on structures you are not supposed to damage and hence can cause you to loose your ship to concord or at least loose standings 
Imagine trying to escape from webbing, bumping and ueber repping NPC frigs just to find yourself getting ganked from concord at the next station or gate

I am new to EVE and was wondering if there is a link to a page that has recommended ship builds for differing missions or is that part of the learning curve. As for the spelling problems, English is not exactly a language you want to bolster as one that actually knows how to spell within its own context. Watch a little of Galligers comedy and you will see how ridiculous our language is. I was taught how to speak phonetically, unfortunately, plus I am dyslexic and I do not have a problem reading most of the feeds even with misspellings. CEUONNITD LKUC AND HPAPY HNTUNIG!!!

i still get bumped in the mission to this day i have had more experience with this same mission.
now i kill the 2 webbers that attack me first thing. im in poor shape and pree alligned when the webbers die but i make it out! when i return i snipe the other 2 web drones by the time they are dead i can beat the mission like it was a level 1 mission because the friggats dont affect my course when my ship is moving fast. and if you know anything about this mission there are no warp jammers and i had warp core stabs fitted. so no i was not warp jammed.
just happen to have a low speed like 20ms and when i started to allign my ship was knocked backto its original spot from frigates ramming me.
someone mention cruse missiles can bounce you arround ah yes i do know it can slightly adjust your ship buti cant immagine that they were the cause because i was still bumped when no missiles hit me.
please if you doubt me come to teonusude system, here we will gang up and i will let you go alone into mission second area and see how well you pan out with the constant ramming. you have to be in bs tho if your in a battlecrusier they wont ram you.
i do not know why the figgates die easier now but they do they dont rep like they did on that day but you still will die in mission with bs if you do not prealign in the 3 seconds you have unwebbed. and no i will not come save you.

To cut a long story short...
NPC's do not ram ships. At all. Ever. As soon as they agro you they'll come towards you and orbit you at a certain distance. No if's or but's, they just do. Hell, I've run so many missions in my time (and same for alot of people here) to know this.

It's quite simple. I think this guy is one of the many seemingly korean (the 4 gangs i've seen by me have been so far) groups of ninja salvagers who are going to sit cloaked next to missioners in hub systems and hope they use smarties.
The facts don't check out. And if he was a noob, he wouldn't bother suggesting anything on the forums. He simply wants this thread to get people to use smarties.
Edit: And for hte love of god...don't fit stabs when you mission. Half of your problem, if you actually do lose ships, is that you take forever to lock frigs in your BS cuz of the stabs. Any mission that includes jamming/damping ships means you get pwned.

Ran the mission today, got full aggro on the second room and calmly motored to gate @ 2m/s since all 4 spider drones webbed me. ALL frigates happily circled me at between 8673m and 8674m. NONE ever approached close to me, there was no bumping as I let them all live until the end. All 4 spider drones webbed me and circled happily @ 7586m. Tank was invul field (C. Navy), kinetic hardner (t2), and Thermal Hardner (t2). DPS was easily tanked (4 battleships and maybe a dozen cruisers). No smartbombs needed.

God my eyes bleed from the stupidity, this OP is so full of crap it's untrue.
Never in many hundreds of lvl4 missions (and I mean hundreds, my faction standing is 9.25), have I ever been bumped by NPC frigs, even in the hardest COSMOS missions where the NPC's are buffed to hellish levels.
And I find it interesting that the OP had an ISK farmers fit, seems farming players in missions is the new macro mining. Will we get badly worded ransome demands from Mr. Happy lucky Funtime and Macroed Smack in local.
I can't wait, shame I live in 0.0 now eh :)
