There is an amazingly brillant looking death note game out on DS in japan, i wonder if it will ever come out over in the uk... meh. Fullmetal Alchemist i just finished watching a few nights ago i can recommend also. Samurai Champloo, not sure i've seen that mentioned yet either. Also watch the old naruto and bleach, good stuffs. Got abut half way thru one called Tenjou Tenge, pretty manic and good enough if you like your fighty anime :)

I didn't like the second half as much as the first though (after you know who dies, not going to spoil it) and then replacing said charecter with one almost identlicle, only a cheap immitation by comparison. Eiris LFC	Posted - 2007.10.12 09:17:00 - [102] For me the best ones to me are : Full series: - Hellsing (they have now started an OVA series that follows the manga better and are on ep 3) - Blood+ - Full metal panic all 3 seasons - Full metal alchemist - Code Geauss (sp may be off_ - Exell Saga (watch this if you have seen LOADS of anime only, as it is sort of a parody on every other sort of anime there is out there so it is actually a LOT funnier when you have a bigger anime repetoire) - Crest of the stars/banner of the stars , I can't believe noone has mentionned this as EVE reminded me a lot of this series sometimes :) - Gungrave I've mostly only noted series that I haven't seen in peoples list yet or deserve some more coverage :) Running series I try to keep up with: - One piece - Bleach - Naruto I'm currently watching monster and death note and I am more then half way into both of them, they really look promising Yuuki - Hokori

I guess thats a matter of opinion and taste .... im not into the fluffy highschool romance/drama series . im not here to tell ppl what i think is bad , im just stating what i like .... if you think something is bad why dont you explain what you dont like about it ? Berserk ? to bloody ? i know the endings is dissapoiting if you only check the series but the mange goes further Rurouni Kenshin OVA ... bad ? you gotta be kidding me lol great story great characters and so nicely drawn Naruto ? well i been watching this from before it whas licensed i did skip allot of the fillers but i enjoy the story . Full metal alchemist ? again a fun story to follow . Bleach ,... guess i like big swords Getbackers , enjoy the humor innit . Wolfs rain ... i like the concept of the charcaters turning into Okami , i like wolfs .... Scryed ... well not the greatest serie but still kept me intrested enough to watch the full serie . Hellsing .... just some great twisted charcters and fun story . Now telling me that studio ghibli movies are bad is something that offends allot of anime fans considering that some of their movies attracted more ppl then disney movies (yea disney sucks just a comparison) . Studio ghibli has been around prolly longer then you and are still making the greatest anime movies , especially those directed by Hayao Miyazaki . Its not because you dont like it that it is crap or bad , now if your statement whas based on facts or anything else other then your poor judgement then i would understand it . Anyways , when a person reaches a certain age they learn to respect other ppls opinion and taste .... guess some of us havent really got to that point yet .

Hellsing (OAV)- Simply awesome Death Note- VERY well written and is probably the pinnacle of the animated horror/suspense genre Saiyuki Season 1- Funny,fresh,insightful Peacemaker- Previously stated Gungrave- The animation was very well done Ghost in the shell (OAV #1)- a cinematic classic that should and does transcend the artistic glass ceiling that is between live action and animated movies. Neo Genesis Evangelion- A very well written and well thought out series the ONLY real flaw I saw to it was the ending where in it became mired in metaphorical imagery,that required one to rewatch the ending episodes and OAVs repeatedly to fully understand the ending. Serial Experiment L.A.I.N.- I really can't write a credible critique of this anime and do justice to it,all im going to say is watch NGE as if you were training to watch this.

If I had to name a spot in the anime where it began going downhill, I'd point to the introduction of Misa, a completely useless character that seemed like an attempt to shove comedy into a series that didn't need it, while creating all kinds of awkward problems for the plot. As the end approached, the foreshadowing was so absurdly ridiculous that I knew what was going to happen half a dozen episodes before. The issue is that the twists "went full-circle"--they stacked upon each other repeatedly until the result was the exact same one that the viewer expected initially. that is one of the reasons that I try to stay away from over-hyped series. true that sometimes I just have to watch, but since I read the manga beforehand I was already a bit knowledgeable about the series. tbh never attracted me in the first place. oh btw new season started, and there's already a few series that are pretty much pwn: Dragonaught: let's hope GONZO doesn't screw this one Kodomo Jikan: Bamboo Blade: if it's as good as what I've read untill now, I see this as a hit. Blue Drop: it has potential as one of the most weird yuri relationships ever plastered in an anime series Shugo Chara: magical girl formula revisited, altho it as some original concepts. Shakugan no shana 2: let's see how this one unfolds.... rest is a bit of a mix on high-school/harem/mystical stuff --- planetary interaction idea!

Yao Shiu	Posted - 2007.10.20 13:05:00 - [118] Edited by: Yao Shiu on 20/10/2007 13:08:45 hmm about time for another one of these, some good suggestions in here, given me something more to watch my favourite: ghost in the shell, movies & SAC. others in no particular order: darker than black, ergo proxy, FLCL, hellsing (why are the OVA's not released on dvd in region 2 yet? ), blood+, neon genesis, death note.. and probably more oooh, and samurai champloo, and afro samurai of course never watched anything other than scifi/fantasy anime, (besides FLCL, but that's just wierd) I'll admit I watch naruto and bleach, gives me 2* 20mins (that and avatar the last airbender ) of entertainment a week, makes up for terrible saturday night tv! I started watching bouso renkin, but found it to be a bit... generic. also claymore I havn't quite got into, but I heard it was a good watch.
