Wendy Mcbendy	Posted - 2007.09.30 20:51:00 - [1] I just bought a character for 14 billion isk, the character, now transfered to me has low security status, -3.9. This was not mentioned anywhere by the seller, the rules states he has to mention the security status, if i had known it was that low i wouldn't have bought it. Does anyone know what i can do now? I want my isk back.

However, if you want, it would be easy to file a petition since having a low sec status is bad for the char's price so you have grounds for getting scammed. Check your chatlogs again though... it might be "slightly" mentioned (I've seen it happen heh)...

Nah he didn't mention it anywhere atall, shocked to log it in and see this, it's no good for me, i plan to use this character in empire space and i'm not about to spend a long time grinding it up. I also paid a lot more than it is worth considering the low status.

Sec status is public so if he did follow the rule that he must use the character being sold as the thread starter you should have checked. To be perfectly honest it was probably just an oversight by you. The best thing you can do if you don't want it is to sell it. -3.9 doesn't take that long to get up to -1.9.

A guy got his battleship moved to a 0.3 station by a GM after his corp's outpost fell to invaders. The scary thing is, he didn't seem to understand how that was a complete abuse of GM role. Oh boohoo, you can't dock? Don't dock at losable stations then! I suspect this occured back in the days of escrow, but still. Messed up.

I'd strongly suggest that you make sure to buy a character that can fly Ravens and use T2 large beam lasers. Laser Ravens are amazingly overpowered right now.

I'd suggest a CNR and faction mods if you really wanna eke out every last bit of DPS.
