Hmm, I understand it's a tough job adjusting the VAT rate for each country (as you should), so I have no real problem with using 1 VAT rate for the whole EU. However it is not realistic to claim the VAT rate is why EU residents have to pay more.
Let's take a 20% VAT rate for example, since that is pretty much the highest rate being used in the EU. I'll use rounded figures for easy calculating.
50 euro / 1,20 = 41,67 euro (say 42 euro)
50 USD = 35,71 euro
That's still 6 euro's too much that you're charging it seems.
Yes, it's because of the dollar doing nothing.
There are pretty much 2 options:
1) Charge in 1 currency.
2) Adjust subscription fee's periodically.
Ah well, just my 2 cents..

I just followed the link that i saw whne logged into my old account. I saw it when I was editing my billing information.

I can't logon to accept the offer. When i follow the link to logon the user name is set to User. I enter my user name and password and it reports it as wrong yet i can log on to the forms. I did get the email for one of my accounts and have tried both account names
Any ideas

It is actually 14 days that is some sort of typo. And you still get those free days with the power of 2  genius.
That's what I would be doing myself. Even if the trial is only 14 days instead of the 30 days as announced on this official website (how can that be, actually? ), it is still not more per day then the power of 2 offer. But at least I would not feel being ripped off just because I live in the wrong part of the world...

link is borked for me too, 2 different browsers on windows. also tried on a linux box - none of my accounts will let me log on.

Ive tried logging in to this and its saying im entering the incorrect account password.

I can use the account (created today), but I wonder how this offer works.
My account has been created, i can play, but ive no idea how this payment goes down.
I gave my bank name and account number, but how does the debit take place (dutch customer here) ?
I cant imagine this would be all they need from me?
When I check my account status it reads this: PendingAndActivated
Payment is now pending, awaiting settlement
How do I settle the final payment :/
There are no messages in my online banking or such...

I had issues logging into account on website also until a little bit ago, but now I see no option under my account area to sign up for power of 2.

For those having trouble, hit cancel at the first power of 2 screen that has 'User' on it, then login to you account at the next screen, then click the power of 2 button. It worked for me.

Same...I followed the instruction on home page (log in and follow link) only to find that there is no link to follow!?
Not very efficient!
I would have probably signed up if I found the place to do so, but while looking for the answer to "where the hell do I get this?" I read through this thread and it doesn't make me so keen anymore.
Must try harder. :/

So, when I finally get to where I can actually try to sign up for hte power of 2. Whatever user name I try and use, it says is already take, I find this VERY hard to believe. They just don't want my money obviously.

I got the email here in Australia (First time ive seen this offer) and ive been playing afew years now. Now I got the Mail and activated it, I just need to build a good Hauler.
Anyone got a good link for the (Galent Race) on what skillz to set to make a Hauler very quickly for mining op's?

Hmm, when I try to create a PO2 account, I first login with this one. I then have to come up with a new account name (makes sense) and enter contact details (also makes sense).
However...
Direct Debit: 30 day game time period
+Initial account registration Ç19.95
Please note: You are signing up for a recurring directdebit subscription and will be billed at the end of each time period until you cancel or change your method of payment
Where's the part about the 6 month period?
Also, I obviously didn't finish the creation of the account, but somehow the accountname is now taken. I assume I created it, but I am not able to use it again for starting an account...
