>>> RECRUITMENT MOVIE <<<
The time has come again for Veto Corp to open the doors of our Academy to public recruitment.
Veto Corp Description :
We are corporation of outlaws, our sole role in Eve being PvP based. We also maintain a presence in Eve's Roleplaying Community, although it is not mandatory for members to take part so long as they respect the participation of others.
Our main focus is not to "blob" but to run in small, fast moving, highly skilled strike groups.
Of course, that doesn't mean we don't enjoy a large gang now and again.
Veto Academy :
[VETOA] is all about taking low skillpoint players who are relatively new to the game and those with higher skillpoints who are fresh into PvP and allowing them to feed from the knowledge of experienced [VETO] members.
Our aim is not to bombard recuits with facts, figures, and terminology, but rather to allow them to fly alongside us and gain practical hands on experience from people who have been playing Eve for years.
In [VETOA] there is very little theory work other than that posted on our internal forums, we are firm believers that nothing makes up for experience in the field.
Those who are selected to join the Academy are given priority for training and advice, and have a dedicated training officer to answer all their questions whenever he is online.
The entire roster of Veto Corp is also there to assist with training and initiation of rookie pilots with the sole aim of helping them graduate into Veto itself.
Although the sucess rate for applications into Veto Corp as a whole is very low (some 5% of applicants actually end up wearing the ticker), the sucess rate for those who do join up actually graduating through to Veto is very high and is something we pride ourselves on.
Applicants should remember that Veto Corp is a strict NBSI PvP organisation, meaning that you will be expected to fight and in most cases initiate agression.
Applicant Guidelines :
When applying, you will need to meet the following criteria :
> Disregard for Security Status, You will eventually end up -10. > Any timezone. > A relatively mature attitude. > Fully self sufficient. > A working Ventrilo Client and the use of a working microphone. > A base knowledge of PvP and game mechanics. > The ability to follow instructions over voice comms. > An idea of where you see yourself in a year's time with regards to skilling and position in game. > The will and drive to learn and be tought. > A good level of player activity and playtime. > The skills to effectively fit your ships.
A 10 million Skillpoint minimum requirement for applicants has been set.
While we set a minimum skilling requirement for [VETOA], we respect the fact that from time to time an exceptional application will come along that does not meet the SP requirement. Our minimum skilling requirement is more of a guideline when it comes to exceptionally well presented applications.
Joining Veto :
For further information and details of how to apply to join Veto Corp, visit our homepage at WWW.VETO-CORP.COM and follow the link in the left hand pane of the page marked "Recruitment".
Our members can be also found in the channel "Veto" in game, along with myself and my Directorate who are willing to answer any questions thrown our way.
Potential applicants can also contact me by Eve-Mail in game with any questions they may have.
Thanks for your time.

Main corp has loads of great people/pilots to learn from, but it appears we are short of fresh blood to play tricks on, strip naked and teach in the ways of the farce...
Veto is pretty choosy when it comes to applicants, so apply with care & attention and wear pink whenever possible... __________________________________________________________________________

Question (I don't think I found anything on your page regarding this, and am not sure if you want to disclose any of it here in a public forum, but anyway):
Where do you guys see Veto moving the next year(s). I don't mean what your plans are, as they are ofcourse secret. More in terms of the game seemingly moving more and more towards large-scale warfare, with huge blobs and whatnot. A fine example is the added volume of mods that CCP is introducing, crippling roving PvP gangs, as I saw you point out Verone.
Your corporation sounds fantastic, but do you believe that the small/medium scale warfare will survive in the future of EVE? Are you heading towards cap ships in the future, or will the small and fast strike forces continue to be succesfull?
Lastly, are you doing contracts aswell? Your homepage states it, but it's not mentioned here.
Thank you for your time!

As said in the OP really, small, fast roaming gangs is where our heart is, and where it always will be. But obviously its sometimes neccesary to bring out the heavy hitters. ___________________________________________ ✖ Our Home, Our Corp, Our VETO ✖

I see Veto doing what we do best, which is what we do now
CCP is indeed pushing towards large scale warfare, and we're making provisions so that should we need to face off in such a manner we can do. We're still of the firm belief however that Small Scale warfare is still viable, and moreover as gangs get larger and slower with more capital content, it'll be easier to perform hit and run.
Small scale warfare, piracy and hit and run tactics will be viable in future with some adaption... we've thought long and hard about it and we'll be putting it into practice with the next major expansion.
Of course, I'm not gonna spill the beans here... but we're well prepared for the future and if anything we're looking forward to Rev III and Factional warfare

Wow, when i saw this ad i couldn't believe my eyes. Veto Academy! \o/ <-- me when i saw this recruitment post.
Unfortunately for me though, i only have 4 mil skill points. And that's because when i started this game i made an industrial char, and even worse, i played with it for 3 months!
So here comes the big question: May i still try and post one of those recruitment threads in your corp forums? Or i am auto-rejected by now? (just so you know, i am a pretty good minmatar pilot, with about 2 mil sp in gunnery alone, can shoot with t2 guns, and I'm specialized in flying a scary hurricane ).
Oh and I'm -4.98 already so i wouldn't like to go and start ratting because i can't find a great piwate corp like you guys are. *puppy eyes*.

Applying is never a bad thing, as long as it's detailed, informative and honest. Getting your name out there and getting to know us in our public channel is a good way to go. It's the heart that matters, not the SP.

Let me tell you a story!
We were 2 VETO, and 1 VETOA(Had recently joined ), who wanted to have fun. We had the 2 of us in BS and HAC, and the VETOA in an arazu.
We went to a system, and the VETOA dude in an arazu scouted ahead for us. He saw a pheonix dreadnought on scan. We asked him to scan it down for us, and he found out that the dread was sitting at an offline pos!
He bravely went in and tried to tackle it, but we had forgotten to tell him that he cant use ewar on a sieged dread. We jumped gang warped to our VETOA pilot, and started killing him. But we realised that we didnt stand a chance.
We called for reinforcements, and soon we had another few battleships for our support. But we saw a cyno at the nearby station, and a thanatos soon enough had warped in at a 100km distance.
We called for further assistence, and soon enough had some carriers for support.
We primaried the thanatos, and he went down very fast.
We then attacked the dread, who was on his last round of siege. We had him soon enough into structure, but he self destructed.
All this damage(Worth around 3bill+), thanks to an academy guy who was brave enough to tackle a dread.
Does this sound like fun, and want to make a difference like the vetoa guy above did?
Then throw in an application!
Im looking forward to fly with you guys

If i wasnt happy in REPO, an application would of been sent as soon as i saw this thread open up.
Unfortunately im a merc at heart and enjoy visiting carebears in lovely high sec systems.
Whenever ive met a veto in low sec, its generally ends up the same way. Either pew pew and a good fight, or i just decide "feck that".

Hey guys, just a question (please dont bite my face off) .. you say you want new recruits to be self sufficient, but with no 0.0 space (or am i wrong?npc station somewhere?) and a -10 sec rating meaning no empire, ninja ratting? gate camping for loot?
i'm too noob to apply to you pvp gods yet but was just wondering.

If you go out in small gangs of 2-3, and ransom stuff, you can easily make a good living. I think thats the easiest way. But i have an carebear alt which makes me money aswell. But in 2 weeks i made about 200mill from ransoms and loot.
