Barbaro55a Caldari Os Lobos	Posted - 2007.10.17 13:58:00 - [1] Did anyone else make one over the last 24 hours on SiSi? or was it just me? (i really wanted to see why Chrib hadn't sold it) What other weird and crazy things did people try out? At one point i have rocket launchers on a Dred, Nana-Smartbombing Raven, E-War Badger, and a Ffreighter (that one didn't tank carriers so well). (Maybe I can leave it in my will) undocked and got killed twice as my computer pretty much just said "** that!" and did a brainfart. Om man I played on sisi for 6 hours this morning, it was so much fun! I got my frist dread fights, run around in a carrier unleasing doom. Me and a few guys from Paradox (and a few other corps) held a pretty tough line on Jita 4-4 for about an hour. It all went so well until everyone went inside for ammo... Even though it was a little laggy, it was still a fun experience. Rifter Flight Manual!

Then this happened. 2007.10.17 01:19:39 Combat Ogre II belonging to Yuko84 heavily hits you, inflicting 30677.4 damage. Maxed skill moroses hurt :(
Skywalker Minmatar MAFIA	Posted - 2007.10.17 18:19:00 - [13] I fitted a Capital Shield booster on a Maelstrom. Worked well, could do 3 cycles before cap was gone, repping around 15k shield using 2 amplifiers, total shield HP was around 13k so no need for more amps. I was only able to fit medium guns though. Anyone have a decent setup to recommend with the Cap shield thingie on a maelstrom ? I only had 30 min to try it out MAFIA Website

Meh, Not fussed really but would like to have flown a dread. Would be nice to have this maxed skills feature as standard though so we can test stuff that's added to the game. A bit pointless asking us to help test new stuff that we need to train skills for 30 days+ to use. T2 ships and mods for example when they were introduced. How many really had the required pre req skills to facilitate quick training to use them? It meant that only a few players could actually test them. Not much point in the rest of us going onto the test server really since we couldn't test anything that wasn't already in the game. --

No1 whatsoever, as new ships arnt ever avalible on the test server before they are released onto TQ. They never have been. Sig returned after a victory with the appeal \o/ ;)~
Mr Friendly That it Should Come to This	Posted - 2007.10.17 23:49:00 - [17] The lag was crazy bad when I was playing there, but it was fun to watch my gank-fit Moros get immense wrecking shots about 10x higher than any ship I've ever had on TQ Too bad someone bubbled the perimeter station I was at then proceeded to pod anyone he could >.< (bad because I'd forgotten to set my clone there and ended up 24 jumps away in an empty system.) I also learned that dual rep tank Archons are REALLY slow to die unless they get neuted... and then they are sill really slow to die. I went and made lunch in the time it took...lol. all in all, great fun __________________________________________________ FOLD. The Ultimate PVP. It really is Us vs. Them. clicky

I didn't have that great a tank set up, nor am I of the PvP elite, but it's a free chance to play with the big toys, so what the heck. Grabbed a Moros, put on a PvE fit that should have gotten me slapped around, undocked and just screwing around with a few others in dreads, managed to get the killmails on 2 Caldari dreads, 1 Amarr dread....and a Drake. Drakes don't appear to tank dreads that well for some reason..... A good time was had by all...except maybe the guy with the NOS fitted dread, and later on, the Drake. I also (with my main character) was part of a capital ship gang that cyno jumped in from Perimeter and attacked the people outside of 4-4 at one point.

Mr Friendly That it Should Come to This	Posted - 2007.10.18 07:20:00 - [30] In the end, I learned two important things (regarding my playstyle). 1) the lag was excruciating and made me realize just how un-fun fleet warfare must be when lag bombs hit. So: no big fleet work for me, EVER. 2)capitals are wonderful and all, but incredibly slow to do anything. The fun factor is just not there (again, for me). So: I was training for a Thanatos, but that's shelved indefinitely. I think BS's are as big as I really want to go. Final thoughts: thanks to CCP, I got to experience some great stuff that clarified a lot of my playstyle for me. Thanks a bunch! Since Arma day was a stress test that also attracted a lot of players, I wonder why CCP doesn't do it more often. I'm assuming it's a pain for them to set up and requires significant time away from their other projects, but if it also generates insightful performance data for them AND makes players happy in the pants, perhaps it's worth doing more frequently?
