The Energized Regenerative Membranes are almost always better than the Regenerative Membranes (better bonus in return for a whole 20tf). Apart from capitals, I've heard of people using them for comedy Navy Augoror setups with ~120k effective armour hp.
There is one situation where an Omni ECCM might be useful - suppose you're in a Jovian ship with multiple sensor types, and people are trying to jam you on all of them at once. Also, if (for goodness knows what reason) you wanted to supply a lot of people with ECCM, it would be simpler to give everyone Omnis than to produce a well-proportioned mix of the 4 types.
I'm tempted to add all non-large smartbombs to the list, because their area of effect is so small.
Also, Curator sentry drones. They are always outranged, outdamaged or out-tracked by one of the other three sorts, as well as being EM. My research services Spreadsheets: Top speed calculation - Halo Implant stats |

I don't think that applies to any other module in EVE, so regeneratives is the only 100% useless module group. (micro smartbombs, smallest cap charges, smallest cap battery, etc etc are useless - but they do not represent a completely useless module group)
*edit* This one is ofc true ever since the ECM remake some years ago:
Originally by: Theron Gyrow Omni ECCM. There is absolutely no reason to ever fit this one.
Capitals get better HP values with regenerative platings than highly stacked resist modules.
Do the math, k??? They do not. Before rigs were introduced/motherships could use them, 1 regenerative could actually be used on a 100% HP-tanked Aeon (with no capital rep fitted). (although, in practise such a ship would probably still do better with a cap relay instead to run remote reps)
Originally by: Kazuo Ishiguro I've heard of people using them for comedy Navy Augoror setups with ~120k effective armour hp.
Comedy setups, yes. But not to maximize their effective hp. Only for the comedy purpose of getting as big HP ammount as possible.
Originally by: Demje regen membranes give you passive HP bonus WITHOUT the huge mass increase of plates, or the active cap consumption of hardeners. try them on a ship you use a MWD with.
Provide ship and fitted modules as an example please. You know, even your third eanm (=harsh stacking penalty) and your damage control provide higher HP increase than a regenerative... Sorry, I meant more towards the battleship end of the specturm.
The one race that should fit them with no problem (amarr) has no where near to 70+ CPU to spare for them. Your right though, on the frigate front, +47% cap is very nice. ☺☻☺☻☺ SO how do you get me to stop posting? Bump this thread Until devs answer |

too lazy to see if its been emtnioned or not allready, but this thing!definetly needs to be mentioned.
for starters, only modules that need electronics upgrades are signal amplifires and sensor backup arrays. Firstly, how often are those modules used, adn secondly how often are they NOT used because there's not enough cpu available?(and would you really rig your ship just so you can fit those modules? saves a around 2 cpu for t2 sensor backup aray with lvl4)
then there's teh multispectrum ECCM modules, only difference between racial eccm and multi spec eccm is cap use, doulbe cap use on the multispec, you know what sensors your ship use so why use mutli spec O.O if it was projected eccm I could imagine them being usefull if you dont know what ship you'll be boosting(but then there's only 1 type of that, and it boosts all sensors), but for your own ship? O.O ----- GIEV custom ship paint jobs! I want my hello-kitty-kessie!

t2 small cap batteries are useful on any small fast ship that doesn't need to fit guns. they provide a larger cap pool to start with and higher peak recharge than a CR II.

Tech 2 Armor Plating. same amount of armor as Rolled tungsten, but harsher fitting requirements than Tech 1.

I agree on capacitor flux coils, reactor diagnostic gives better recharge rate bonus, plus the addition of PG and shield bonus.Same goes for shield flux coils.

the MAPC is an ESSENTIAL module for many frigate class vessels. Even with max skills there are situations where only a MAPC would allow a fitting you want.
If I had an Alt I would probably post with it... |
