SA = original military alliance which is now struggling to cope because many of the best players have burned themselves out by being at the top for so long
CA = young and upcoming whippersnappers with a penchanct for creating endless forum posts about how l33t they are but are now getting too big for their boots. They'll soon face the same decline as SA when their best players get bored of being the top cats in the alley.
Either way, you're guarenteed a good fight as long as you can stomach the forum bullcrap.

I had a much longer post typed, but there's no point. Any attempt at honest discussion on these boards is usually destroyed by the trolls, which is why I prefer to talk to the CA guys in game. You want the real scoop? Convo some people in game where there isn't an audience to impress.
But Josh's summary is a good one.

Edited by: Xelios on 29/02/2004 01:52:57 In my experience CA is definatly larger than SA (if you count C4 as part of CA, which those in SA do as C4 will fire on SA members on sight), but SA has proven to be more experienced in combat and fleet battles. I don't say this because I'm part of SA, but I calls them as I sees them.
Anyway, anything I say is obviously going to be a bit biased toward SA, but I just wanted to say SA is alive and kicking.

stain is on the ropes and is probably about to fall to the curse alliance, i dont think it would be wise to join them right now, the rats have been jumping from that sinking ship for a while now
join the winners (curse alliance) like the rest of eve.

Rofl:) so you are not losing the war because you get your ass handed to you in most fights but because you are "burned out of being leet?" I guess were camping DSS and 4GQ without any resistance because of this burnout to. Your just to lazy to come out of the station and fight.

See? "We ownz ju!"
Until you start building stations (forward bases of operation) inside Stain and holding them, you aren't "winning" anything, Iluyen. Nor could SA "win" this war. The current game mechanic allows any ship loss to be replaced within hours, if not minutes. Both SA and CA corps have absurd amounts of high end mineral reserves that make almost any amount of ship losses trivial.
Now, here's the part where you get to talk about the dozen battlships that you personally have witnessed destroyed in the last 24 hours while CA has lost two cruisers and a frigate or something. Bah.
This war will never be resolved until CCP provides both sides with the tools to do so and my prediction is that once the POS like stations and defense towers hit, Stain and Curse are both going to turn into almost un-assailable fortresses. _____ CLS Civil Affairs Bureau

Stain still masses fairly large fleets, but it seems that they tend to dissipate within an hour or so. This may be due to timezone issues but recently I haven't seen any sustained large fleets from stain.
Thats not saying they don't blow things up though.

I would suggest you join CA if you were to join an alliance. The problem with joining the Stain alliance atm is they spend most of there time in stations or Empire space. The CA would offer you a more complete playing expereince.
I am not flamming the SA, there attempts to rectify the current situation recently have been admirable. However they do come across as a bit of a spent force. Not to say that there aren't some nice guys in SA who fight with alot of honour. But we pwns you (jking)

Iluyen you stupid trolling idiot. Go back and mine arkonor instead and STFU.
SA won yesterday's battle with CA, as we usually do. 4-1 or possibly 4-2 to us in destroyed battleships. Really sounds like you handed us our asses
That you're allowed to camp some systems without resistance MAY have SOMETHING to do with that you are more than twice as many as us.
So plz, Iluyen, end yourself(tm) or at least STFU.
And btw, Chowdown, wasn't you relieved of your ship yesterday?
By my count that battle was pretty damned even. The decider however was out greater numbers, and we were allowed to rampage around stain for the rest of the night as you lot were stuck in d87.
This pic shows the fleet just starting to move towards stain after the 1st battle, at one point we had a gang od 60, split up into 3 fighting forces in stain.

Asking this question here will get flamed ( but i aint interested in replys here im interested in Evemails so i can answer in-game )
Is SA still having problems finding high end ore ?
( All ppl must mine to get Mineral's/ Ore/ Cash ) Uless they fight alot and dont touch a miner with a 10" pole. have they scouted the 3 regions in Stain ? if yes they can always atack and hold some other space. ( Untill Shiva patch = May )

Doubtful, and as it stands neither alliance will ever win due to game mechanics.

Sa is great at defending their territory. While CA is begining to have problems their boarders are left unprotected and leaves an open invitation. Plus CA's response time isn't too great. With the exception of the E02 area.

Rofl I guess thats why I spent this week in stain without so any resistance whatsoever, not even in 4GQ when they outnumbered us 2 to 1 (to clarify things for Dalman).
Btw Dalman why should I go back to mining arkanor? I haven't done so for weeks and since your BS kills are only imaginary we don't need to mine to replace them. Or wait maybe you mean that when you win a battle you win it 4 to 1 or 4 to 2 but you forget to mention that you only win a battle once in a blue moon.
What am I thinking, of course CA is owning us in pvp and ruling the universe, thats why Joseph X asked to join SA or why several members (both corps and players) left SA.

Iluyen, at least when The Reclaimer posted something (before his self-imposed retirement from heavy napalm bombing of posts) there was at least a hint of fact in what he said. The SA kills are only "imaginary"? Dude, quit making a fool of yourself in front of your own Alliance.
