By the way, don't get me wrong. I think frigates should have a much higher survival rate against battleship class guns. I'm just telling you how it goes currently. I lose about 3 frigates a day when I play with fleets. All it takes is one wrecking...

It depends what you are trying to do. Killing other frigates? Go as fast as possible, pack cruises and a webbie. Kill indies? Scramblers and cruises. Scramble battleships? Buy a cheaper frigate.

The fix for this is making Battleships not the cure-all weapon of war. Currently a battleship kitted out for war will simply wipe any other ship off the map. Say a tempest with 1400's. You will kill any frigate/cruiser rather quickly with good ski...
