All pod pilots have a weight of 100kg
Corpses used to stop battleships
A long time ago you could hide behind anything like stations or other ships from missile ships cuz missiles hit everything in their flightpath and not just the target
There are bushes in space where you can do your thing while waiting for the bang
The thorax was build after an organ (couldnt resist but its true)
Implants have a size of 1m¦
The Ship modification section in the eve database has the describtion which fits only for minmatar ships
Living freight has a weight from 30kg (slaver hound) up to 1000kg (marines)
Criminal Dog Tags weight 1kg
Sometimes in cans things appear out of nowhere (complexes)
Concord kills a BS in some seconds but cant kill frig sized rats that shoot at bypassing ships at gates
Nobody scanned ice roids before (nobody was that bored I guess)

Yes. I point you to this post somewhere last year where some guy had all Gallente ships basically labeled: Click me now, you know you want to. Also, there's a reference here for Megaron Then again, someone else has Megatron translated and defined as
Quote: The name "Megatron" is shortened from "Mega-Therion" which is greek for Beelzebub
wooo i'm the first to point it out, but alot of the gallente ships are gods of love and fertility...i feel like such a faerie in my ishtar =( but then i realize its A DEATH FAERIE!! but i still wanna know why gallente are so flamboyant

Not much to add, except maybe the maximum velocity on ships is limited by the computer systems to give the ship more control over it's orbit range? A ship doing 100 km/s would be a pain in the ass to orbit another ship at close distances.
And the reason that ships orbiting other ships have problems with tracking, maybe it's because the other ship is moving too, hence the problem with tracking as your ship has to constantly shift toward and away from the other ship? ____________________

For all those people who say bumping is an unintended game mechanic :
The Armageddon class battleship was solely designed to be used as a battering ram, hence it's shape.
It's massive front armor plating and it's overall heaviness at it's front end, coupled with high structural integrity was intented to be used to slam into Republic vessels and breach their hulls while firing on them.
First of all, ramming is not the same as bumping. Ramming is done to do massive damage to a ship and does not exist in Eve. Bumping does no damage, but keeps ships from escaping by making it change course against its will.
Second, "it's" means "it is". "Its" means "belonging to it".

Except when you warp, you go through things, like, ya know, planets. Must be some effect of the warp bubble/tunnel whatever.

I believe when warping a wormhole is created. A wormhole is basically 2 points in space that are 'moved' together to travel between them.
Take a piece of paper and put a dot on each end of the paper. One of them is Point A, the other is Point B. A wormhole simply takes point A and point B and pushes them together, just like folding the paper and touching the dots. You don't actually travel the full distance, you simply 'jump' to the other side. The effect from warping is probably just what you see as you go through one side and out the other, although technically it would be like stepping through a doorway.
I'm probably wrong, so please correct me if I am. ____________________

Jumping is done through artificial wormholes, which explains why it's instant. This is backed up in official Eve sources. I dunno about warping, though, since it's done at a certain speed and takes time to get where you're going.

It's also been accelerating using planetary bodies for years and doesn't have to stop to execute complex maneuvers. However, you're right that it's purely an artifact of game balance that our ships reach their maximum velocities so fast.
Try landing a carrier inside a moon, and you'll see what EVE's, ah, "gravity", will do. I recall we had a carrier land on grid at the center of the moon, and it was thrown out of the moon at...well, it was a Vagabond pilot's wet dream.

The Amarr race is named after the ancient Egyptian city Amarna.
Here's the story behind Amarna: Around 1350 BC a pharaoh by the name of Amenhotep IV, whom later renamed himself Akhenaten, ascended to power. During his reign he attempted to convert Egypt's population to his chosen, and notably monotheistic, religion. The single god under this religion was known as Aten, and was represented by a sun disk. Akhenaten's reforms are the first case of monotheism in recorded history. During his reign Akhenaten establish the new Egyptian capital in the city of Amarna, where many temples dedicated to Aten were built.
So there you have it Amarr = Amarna, the city in which the first temples dedicated to a monotheistic deity were constructed.

Edited by: Red Crown on 18/11/2007 17:09:26 Carriers are flying physical impossibilities.
Take the Chimera for example. All carriers are roughly the size of a battleship. The Hyperion is the closest in shape though.
The Chimera has ten times the mass as the Hyperion does, yet is the same size to the eye, and until only recently was actually smaller.
The Chimera also has ten times the volume of a Hyperion.
So in other words, the Chimera has 10 times the internal volume it can physically have, and even though it is impossibly large on the inside, it is also impossibly dense. Its "outer shell" would have to be as dense as a Neutron star.
In theory, Railgun shells, Projectiles, and Missiles should have no damage fall off with range, and missiles should get faster as they go. They should also have no maximum range.
Gallente aren't just overpowered, they in theory have the most powerful weapons of any race. The force released by a 1000MM Antimatter shell would be enough to snap a Titan in two.
The force of a 3500MM shell impact would be enough to liquify steel.
