This sucks.. I really want to accept this offer but the account management page is giving me no way to do it. I've been waiting for this to get fixed since the offer first started, but it still wont work. And my account is active and has been for nearly a month.
What the hell is going on CCP? Do you NOT want my money?

If I were in charge of making this offer, it would be standard, and never have an expiration...If you can only use it once (not get an account that is permanently cheaper), and it leaves you with a second subscription, doesn't that help CCP in the long run? The "Where is the button" bug with this is just making frustrated customers...but it is only frustrating those who want to take advantage of this offer.

I still can't create a second account since i only get teh "Not Authorized" notice when trying to pay for it.
Even though my credit card works fine for everything else :/

It appears from the latest home page announcement that Po2 is available to all active accounts not just the ones that were active before Wednesday.
However, it still is not available for me on My Account page. I only activated this account because of Po2 and was disappointed when the Wednesday qualifier was buried quite deeper than the announcement. Now the announcement is on the home page and I still can not use this offer.

They like to advertise things that don't work for half the people and not do anything about it

I too am awaiting news from a petition on how to take advantage of this Power of 2 offer with a trial account I started. I joined first of October and got to liking the game and tried taking advantage of the Power of 2 offer then. did not see offer on my account screen so I sent a petition. I received a reply that since my account had not been created before the original offer was made, I was ineligible. OK I accepted that and then decided to go ahead and start a trial account to see how I liked running two account and at the end of that time period make it into a full account. NOW they extend the Power of 2 offer and I am unable to take advantage of this with my trial account. I have already invested a lot of time and skill points into the characters on this account to throw away, esp when it has kinda become my main. Unless they allow trial and buddy accounts to be able to use this, I might as well cancel my first account if this is how customer support is on this simple of an issue especially concerning the making of money for the company. And I don't want to make it now a paid account for $20 start fee and lets say pay for 6 months ( $71.70 ) = $91.70. Same thing, I have no desire to pay the $50 for this Po2 offer and see if I can transfer the trial account one for another $20 = $70. Does this company want mine and others monies or what ?

Maybe they'll extend it again with less restrictive rules, or make a similar permanent offer. It'd probably be a good business move; I never really considered a 2nd account until I saw this offer. If I could do it (I'm not eligible either for some reason?) I would, but ah well. |

I made a petition yesterday, still no answer. started playing 6 weeks ago, activated a month ago.. Can't see the button.
Pretty frustrating.

ERROR: You do not qualify for the Power of 2 offer.

Thank you for the extension, however I do not get paid until Wednesday. I hope that I get to purchase another account at a later time. Thanks, we are sorry that we are missing out.

Agreed...the initial posting said that all accounts would be able to update to Po2, however they just updated the page today noting the Wednesday cutoff date:

I have tried this twice now. The first time it created a "username"2 login and asked for a password. Password does not work. I forgot about it.
I tried it just now and it created a "username"3 login and asked for a password. Then I had to enter personal details (huh?) and credit card info. Click next and nothing happens. go to subscription details, it's the details of my original account (huh?). I log out and log in as my original main. Everything is fine. I try to login as "username"3 and it won't accept my password. Have i been billed for the other 2 accounts? Who knows. The whole system is totally ****** up. If I have been billed I'll be suing.

Any idea why credit card verification isn't working for everyone? (a.k.a: me)
I tried using two different CC's, using different browsers and shutting down everything that could use some kind of bandwith to disrupt it. But all i get is "Not Authorized" :/

Why isn't your card working? I had that problem until I realized the name on that card had initials instead of my first name like I was putting in. When it asks for your full name, make sure it matches your card (that was my problem, but maybe not your's).

I don't know why my card wasn't working the first weeks or so. But yesterday about 20 minutes i got home from work i got the second response to my petition (first one was basically that they where aware of a problem). Basically it was a "try again now" response, and then it worked. with the exact same card and the exact same information written like the other times.
Don't know the reason for it not functioning properly, and now i don't really care. I got my second account so i'm satisfied ;)

If I might make a suggestion as to the timing of the offer....
It may be a better idea to run it through the holidays as it may make a nice gift. I know I like probably quite a few others due to our age category would like to get our little ones accounts. As well, it would bring better uptake during the time of year when people have more of a chance to play.
