IF you bothered to read the post then you will see I am simply suspending some accounts that no longer serve any purpose in the game thanks to the actions of CCP.
This character will be suspened on the 22nd Novemeber and you will have to wait until then.
Thanks for your understanding and excellent contribution to this post. I am sure everyone reading it will gain an insight into your maturity and see you for what you really are.
Good luck to you, for I fear you will need all the help you can get.

Not that I've cried for you, my poor, poor industrialist with 30 billion isk in blueprints, how about you give them to me since you're leaving.
I mean, after all they're worthless now anyway, right?

I too will miss you. I will put you in my buddy list and if I ever come back then maybe we can have a beer or two.

I am touched by your tears, you are another sad to see me leave.
But worry not. The BPO's will be kept nice and safe. I could give them to you but they have caused me so much grief, pain and suffering I feel sure they are cursed.
I will tell you what, i will keep them under lock and key to stop anyone suffering the way I have suffered.
Its the kindest thing to do really, its for your own good.

I suggest you check the market and contracts. Plenty of supply, some demand. Lots of folks selling their carriers and competing with producers. Others holding on to their ISK to buy a new T2 BS etc.
It take a **** load of hauling and time to make a carrier. Simply not worth the effort at the moment. Who knows that the future will bring, but right now, its pointless.
So its not about the change, more about the fact the carrier market is over saturated.
You can mkae capitals, build dreads!
This whole issue illustrates an interesting economic point. It's not always important whether or not an item has any real value, but rather whether or not it has perceived value in the marketplace. Regardless of whether the changes to carriers will be implemented as stated, or if those changes really will have a negative impact on carrier use or not, as long as enough people believe that those changes will devalue carriers, demand will drop and so will the price. How far and how fast it drops will affect how long it will be before the carrier market stabilizes again. This type of effect was among the causes of the 1929 stock market crash. Anyway, there's a little econ lesson for everyone, just so you can't say you don't learn anything from computer games.

Any change can have a cascade effect, as the proposed carrier/drone nerf has had.
If 50 fewer carriers are produced per week then that will leader to fewer carrier mods/drones being build which leads down the chain to the supply of the building blocks, the minerals. Mineral demand will drop, a little maybe but it will drop.
I used to spend billons on minerals every week. Now I don't spend 1sk on them. I am sure I am not alone.

Didn't mean to rub it in or anything, I was just baffled by the fact you spent that much isk on one single product. Wouldn't toss those BPO's away just yet though. You never know, people may just lose their precious carriers a bit faster and buy more of'm. :)

Why not just liquidate and go into something else? I produce tech 2 modules and make 300m a day. Maybe I'll keep doing that but my margins have been getting smaller. Perhaps I will make tech 2 freighters? Or maybe battleships? I heard the HICs are pretty OP so maybe I'll make those. Hell maybe I'll just make tech 2 components, the demand for those is likely to go through the roof and the margins will undoubtedly increase. Hell I've even been considering setting up a 4 POS complete reaction chain for making Ferrogel or Fermionic Condensates. The margins on that are pretty good with very little work.
Lots of options. You can't fall in love too much with one idea and if it doesn't work out (whether by CCP changing the game or your own miscalculations) just try something else.

We was bored and wanted a new challenge. We figured the carriers where a multi-use ship with increasing demand and could turn a half decent proffit.
At the time we didn't realise how much hard work it was and the more we built and sold the more we invested. Our other interests suffered and it was easier to concentrate on this single project rather than be too spread out. So all income was invested into more BPO's and just as we had hit our maximum capacity CCP stomped on us from a great height.
Looking back we made mistakes. Maybe in time we can get them started again but we need to take a step back evaluate our options. For the time being we can put the BPO's in the labs, make copies or research them a tad more. This account can not help with that and thus it gets shut down. If I had been able to train for some decent R&D agents it could have carried on research whilst dormant but that will take too long.
Thanks for your concern, I know you where not trying to run it in.

To be honest I am tired. After putting so much time and effort (and a fair chunk of isk) into a project only to see it flounder I don't have the will to start over at the moment. Maybe in time I will do something different, until then I will just take it easy and await the patch and see what happens.
Thanks for your advice, it is most welcome.

I can't believe so many of you people are going nuts over a patch that hasn't even finalized. And drone ships are hardly 'obliterated out of existence'. The Eos and Myrmidon can't field 5 heavy drones and it is the end of the world?
Both those ships shouldn't be able to fit those drones anyway. A fleet command ship shouldn't be a DPS Solopwnmobil and the Myrmidon needed balancing for a long time coming.
Once you get over yourself, you might be able to see that CCP is moving the game in a good direction. CCP not catering to the crying babies in the forums is hardly contempt for the customer.
Stay constructive, offer suggestions, act like an adult and maybe CCP would be more keep to address your concerns.
This is superbly stated. We have no idea how demand for carriers and other affected ships will actually change in the next patch. People may find that life goes on despite only have five fighters they personally control, and that the cargo nerf isn't the end of the world either.

I have seen the effect of the proposed nerf. I had many cancelled orders within a few days of the nerf being announced.
True, the nerf may not be as bad but I have stocks of carriers not selling and an account that needed paying or suspending. Account was trained for Carrier Construction and carrier cyno.
If things improve then maybe I will start up again but I figure many carriers will be sold to fund Ore Ships and Tech II freighters. This will throw the market out as some folks will sell at cost or even take a loss just to get some isk. We build for proffit pure and simple, no point in building something that people will sell at less than cost.
Maybe some will even be recycled for the components to build the freighters or for a good stack of base minerals in 0.0.
Will be some time before the market picks up.

The OP is actually correct. You have to understand that s/he is not complaining about the nerf directly, but the fact that OTHER PEOPLE are overreacting (as you accuse him/her of doing) and as a result the carrier/mothership market is going to hell. You need only take one look at the Sell Orders forum to realize this is true. Regardless, things change in this game and you either adapt or quit. CCP doesn't really care.

I'm going to agree and sympathize with the OP, EVE over the last 2 years or so has moved ever closer to a one sided type of game, mostly combat and PvP. And I've not seen EVE getting any bigger, the average amount of players on have never really gone passed 35k. And every patch I see, there is more and more to cater for the PvP lobby and little for industrialists.
