tank does not nor the original poster name who the cruisers were attacking him/ warping into the belt " and he dies " time. we they corp members ? someone who saw tank in local and wanted a free hit ?
aside from that for some ppl , 30 mil is kinda hard to get a hold of on a moments notice.
Team work is essential... It gives the other team something ELSE to shoot at!

anyone who was warping into belt were not my corp, they were the kids who were playing around in system. They posed no threat, Tank knew this and I knew it too. BTW, the belt was 150km in our rear window at this time. For all I know the guy who warped to belt was tank's alt, as an excuse for him to kill me and keep my money

i wonder who here cant really read O.o apoc ? it was a A-R-M-A-G-E-D-D-O-N. and ppl not use to presure aint as good at communicating as thay are under normal ermm surcomstanse(or how ever its spellt ^_^)

Sorry, Tank's story is bull. I held at the gate OUTSIDE the system. It was only when I had confirmation Tank killed him that I jumped in and engaged.
There was another player in a Thorax from a different corp. who ignored repeated warnings in local to stay away who apparently jumped in and touched this situation off.
Noone engaged until Severed had already been podded.

Damn, this post stinks, it was someone in local that did a hit and run, in a cruiser like the were going to make a difference, you are a target accept it, it wasn't severed's fault.
And yeah! like everyone carrys 30mill. Or have friends who will give it them, just cos they're in a BS...hmmm
PS, lets lose the big time shall we, more like log off tactic, log on tactic, then has cheek to say "If u use the log on tactic I will report u for exploiting" damn, TANK I respected u mate till u call other ppl lame in locals, them come out with ur own lame comments logging on and off till its safe for ur "Ultimate Badass Raven" to leave the system, damn hope my missiles tickled u. Anyone using those tactics just plain spoils this game.

The way I see it, it's a simple case of misunderstanding. Tank CEO was referring to 11 million more (8+11=19), while severed was referring to 11 million total (8+3=11).

IÆm sorry but I do not see how Tanks story is bull. IÆve done the ransom job many, many times and whenever the victim stalls by talking about barrowing money from others it usually ends up with friends warping in or entering the system.
Tank was more then generous by giving Severed more then 9 minutes (9 long minutes!) to comply. After about 10 minutes Tank was very much aware of the high probability of a surprise attack. ItÆs no wonder that you died when the cruiser warped in. And donÆt say that 1 cruiser could not have made a difference as we all know a cruiser equipped right could have help that Armageddon escape.
The mere fact that you expect Tank to sit there and wait even more then 10 minutes (this time with spectators) shows what little you know about pirating.
I believe Viceroy made a nice post about how to avoid losing your ship while being ransomed. It was a simple step-by-step procedure that Severed obviously ignored.

Seems to me that GanK wasnt being very clear in his ransom. Easy to make a misunderstanding in that situation. 6 of one thing and half dozen of another in this case i think.
As for you pirates worrying about lingering over a ransom in case of surprise attacks, does it ever occur to you that you can call in reinforcements too, it does to us when we get locked down and consider calling for corp help...and i say this, if you hadnt thought of that then it shows how little YOU know of pirating. (talking to you strangelove)

and when it comes to stalling for 10 minutes, then I *do* stand by tanks behaviour.
If you're flying an armageddon, and don't have 30 mil in your wallet, then you should put it back in the hangar, or risk losing it completely.
