Nos is next to useless now, change it again... Noone is using nos anymore to any real extent. If ur gonna leave it like this, just delete nos from the game altogether...

Nos was nerfed because drone boats abused it beyond reason. After the nerf Nos boats were hit hardest, the irony is that it nerfed Amarr (overpowered race as everyone knows) because Gallente ships misused the module
I think that on Amarr Recons NOS should work as it worked before the nerf as a "role bonus".

Nos does what its supposed to do, except on some NPC rats and CONCORD, which didnt seem to be affected by the change.
Nos was over used and neuts were underused. The Nos fix has corrected this situation and the Amarr recons are more effective now.

Don't you mean The Nos fix has reversed this situation with nuets now overused. The Amarr recons are more stuffed now ( Curse went from 110m to 60 m )
Time to nerf neuts I suppose ( will these nerfs ever end ? )

As someone pointed out: giving the pilgrim and curse the bonus of "old" nos would make recon pilots happy.

Nos still works, but you have to play chicken with your capacitor. If you use MWDs and anti-matter blasters Nos is still a viable PVP mod. Not as good as it was (sadly), but not completely worthless.

Edited by: Wu Jiun on 14/11/2007 16:28:43 Well, they could at least fix the pg and cpu requirements too. I mean before the changes it might have been justified to take more pg than my low tier weapons, but nowadays? Seriously, ccp.
Edit: Duh, whats with all these people trying to remove others from the game? Eve is a dark and harsh world but this is only the forums.

Nos can only lower the target's capacitor to a percentage equal to the attacker's capacitor. In other words, you can't nos a target empty with a full cap.
Now nos are what they were designed to be: tank aids. If you are shield boosting heavily / double rep tanking and running very low on cap a full rack of nos is still devastating to your target.
Neuts are still unspeakably deadly (especially from larger to smaller ships) and nos is their best counter.

Okay, I'm with ya. I can understand if the already lying down amarr pilots feel as if someone just landed another dropkick in their face, but it seems to be a fairly reasonable nerf in my eyes. ------ --Don't get saucy with me Bernaise!-- |

I think the nos 'nerf' was a good decision. Nos is still viable for those who know how to use it.

Aw poor nublets have to think now :( I'm glad they nerfed NOS, now not just any chump can jump in a curse or pilgrim and have an IWIN button. Give it a solid 30 seconds of thought on how you can setup your amarr recons now, and you'll have your IWIN button back. WAR to the idiots who say amarr recons are gimped now, they're just as good as ever for solo work.

O wise one, pleae enlighten us to the setup and tactics of pwnage for the curse and pilgrim.
I'll take your inability to do so as a sign you don't know what you are talking about, and should stfu.

Edited by: shinsushi on 14/11/2007 20:51:41 I think it would be beneficial to just focud on the curse/pilgrim being neut boats though. Change their bonuses so they can easily run Neuts with their effectiveness and range now and we might have a boat again. Tracking disruptors will be useless soon.

Quite like the nos change tbh, all you need to do is keep burning the cap you suck (MWDs ftw) and you are good, unless you are trying to cap out a ship of a smaller class in which case you should be using a neut. Its good too see the nosdomis which used to insta-dry smaller classes of ship nerfed, now if they want to kill someones cap (i.e. neuts) they have to support their own, which makes sense. Only pure nos setups have really been effected at all. I havent really flown amarr recons so i reserve judgement on those.

convo me any time for the setup noob. will cost you 80mil. child psychology only works on children :)
Wow, so thats a "I don't have a setup, but I wanna scam 80 mil isk from someone" response eh? IF you had the setup you would post it. Your afraid to because I'll rip it apart, call you an idiot, and make you cry.
use guns/mwd/tank/neuts to drain your cap then flip on the nos and suck the enemy dry --------------------------- Im in your forums derailing your threads
