Tried with maximum shading and i got 50 fps inside station, 5 (!) fps outside station and 20-30 fps in a 3 bs fight.
Requeueing now with shader off to see what changes
Edit: 120 fps at splash screen :P
Edit2: Graphic card settings: AA 6X (yes HDR is off) Adaptive AA enabled Anisotropic Filtering 16x - high quality AF enabled MipMap detail level max quality Force 24-bit Z-buffer enabled
Posted them because I am not a computer guru and maybe I am setting something in a horrible wrong way and a simple click or two could give me really uber fps :P So if anyone knows, please let me know as well :D

I set Antialasing to 4x, Anisotropic filtering to 16x, Vertical sync on, triple buffering on in the driver iteself.
had max settings in game (HDR off as recommended, i don't like bloom anyway)
set at 1280x1024 (max my 19" 4:3 will support)
I was getting 70FPS outside, and 35-60FPS in station.
oh... so pretty...
:edit: im actually getting better performance with Sisi than i am with TQ. on TQ at present with the same settings, i get about 55-65fps outside, but 50ish inside

Update -> Shader off, rest unchanged (see post #2 in this topic
100/120 fps in stat 50/70 fps outside station 70/100 fps at ffa1 with like 5/10 ships+drones+wrecks
All in all pretty decent, with shader off that is.
And tbh I didn't notice big differences between shader = maximum and shader off
/me scratches head

Try setting your color depth to 24bit + 8bit depth stencil, worked wonders for me...

Try turning HDR off if you're getting poor performance, I lose 10 fps with HDR on, bloom off, or 40 fps with bloom on maximum (in station). ---------------------------

If you mean the 8-bit alpha already got that set, as i said not got anything else turned on and drivers are set to be application controlled ---------

So after some decent testing: shading off = can run 2 clients with pretty good fps (both 40+ at ffa1).
Shader = ebil

Same for me, I think LOD scaling is actually broken. At least I don't see any difference with it enabled or disabled and I get a massive performance hit with anything over a handful of objects in a scene, even if they're too far away to be even visible

Intel P4 3GHz Hyperthreading 1024 PC3200 DDR SDRAM, (dual channel, 200/200) Geforce 6600 LE ( <- Low-End )
Running in 1280x1024, detail high, shadows normal, no driver overriding, no AA
11 fps in station 20-40 fps in space (10-20 outside Amarr Family station with the dustcloud effect. (doesn't bode well for missions..) )
Enabling HDR roughly halves the frame-rate
I'm actually surprised it runs this well on the 6600LE, which is a total budget video card. Though what I'm seeing suggests at least the video card in my system will simply not cope with missions with numerous NPCs, busy gates, station undocks and any situation where there's more than 5 ships.

Athlon 64 3200+ 1 gig RAM Radeon x1300pro
25-30 fps in station; 25-50 fps outside; 20-30 fps in mission; perfomance well below current TQ client perfomance though. Settings default (norm shadows, no AA, AF set to app-controlled, no HDR), with HDR at max - -33% fps everywhere, with shadows @ extreme i get a nice slideshow ^^

With HDR, shadows normal, quality high I got around 20 FPS outside station with loads of ships on screen. Dropped shadows to none and boom, up to 70+ fps. Big performance hitter those shadows. Setting bloom to high also seems to drop framerate dramatically (and bloom on low looks better anyway, the effects on high seem like an overkill).
Resolution 1280x960 Quad core Q6600 @2.4ghz GF8600 GT 512mb 2gb of ram
So with my setup setting HDR on, bloom low and shadows off makes it very much playable.

Everyone should remember that this is sisi, and there were around 450 people logged in on a server with a total of what... 2 nodes?
Given that, it worked pretty good for me. :) ----------------------

3200+ athlon 64, 2 ghz. Nvidia 6600GT 1 gb ram (ddr).
In station: 50-60 Outside station, with about 40 other ships: 20-30 In small combat with a lot of wrecks and drones around: 30+
However, i noticed when im at the station and someone undocks, my harddisk starts searching, which sounds to me like my pc doesnt have enough ram to support the new engine. FPS drops from 20-30 to 5-15 when the harddisk searches. x |

about 120 FPS in station (FD-) about 120 FPS in area with 4 BSs fighting about 50 FPS at station with 30+ ppl undocking constantly
In general its fine. Just dont go for HDR nor exstreme shadows. With that, bloody update your graphics card guys. Most of the issue ppl mention is because of that.

Server load shouldn't affect frame rate in the least as its purely PC based, i can get the same lag on TQ if i warp in to a busy mission its graphical not server related, best bet is to kill the shadows completely that helped me a lot, now i can use HDR and AF with no issues and the framerate isn't that bad. ---------
