I understand now why CCP didn't really show gallente ships in his Trailers... They where always in shadow ...
I really hope that the color will be twisted in something more dark and rusted... Not that playschool ****.
For me there is two kinf of uglyness in a game, the technic one and the design one.
Before, eve was technically ugly, but design where ok.
Now the technic is ok ... But the design well ... is far under what i hoped... And, im demotivated about eve.

The new Gallente ships are amazing, and if some of you FoTM jockeys get scared off, well... good 
(You need to see them in the flesh rather than relying on other people, who often take crappy 'photos'...)

To me they look like grey and corroded copper - like the roofs of all those old palaces here in europe...
Utterly lose from CCPs side IMO, sadsadsad.
I do so hope we get the present colors in the "classic" version

Most Gallente ships are absolutely butt ugly, regardless of the colors. (And that's both with the old and the new graphics.)

that blue on the thorax......ugggg and the hyperion? used to be one of the best looking gal ships with the sleek new black hull now it looks like a 100 year old ship.

Guys, your Nyx and 'Thron look so awesome they had to nerf the looks of the other ships to prevent the other 3/4 of eve switching to gallante.
Seriously though, the look of your ships depends largely on what system you are in, as previously mentioned AND ignored.

because the red/brown colour the domi used to have was so in keeping with the colour of all the other gallente ships out there that were all using blue/green hues.
given the shape of the domi, i guess that CCP thought an updated colour scheme would be wise, since it looks something like the cross between a whale and a steaming pile of dog... uh... leavings.
seriously, i think making the domi fit with the rest of the gallente race's overall theme is probably 100% the right thing to do. i mean every other race has a unified look and feel part of which is the colour scheme, caldari have unpainted-metal, minmatar have dark colours (I hesitate to say rust, since that's impossible in a vaccum), amarr have gold.

Well i don't see anything awful in new gallente color schema. Most of the ships looks only better now imho.

Gallente ships went form nice to ugly.
Caldari ships went form ugly to slightly nicer but still ugly.
Amarr ships went from ugly to ok.
Minmatar ships went from nice to amazing.
