Amarr being least-used of all ships, get the best looking ones. Its all about balance ;) ============================================

Cagot Gallente Arcanus	Posted - 2007.11.28 00:52:00 - [6] Have you logged onto Singularity yourself? I just checked in Cat (a blue/grey ystem), and there was no cyan to be seen on my Dominix. If you were relying on screenshots taken in a reddish system, you'll see reddish highlights. The Dominix looked awesome in Cat, turning into the sun and getting great highlights. It'll be a pleasure to fly it. Now if only they relent on the drone nerfage!

See yourself (pics taken from another thread): a shuttle probably with hdr lighting There the color looks good, because it looks like metal and matches to the shiny grey metal. But now a screenshot of a thorax probably without hdr lighting And imho since the material on the latter screen there lacks a shiny metal-like surface, it looks ugly in my eyes. I've viewed all the models both moving and still, in the station, and out, and with hdr on, and off, and with FSAA on and off. The majority of the Gallente ships look terrible. (The Exequror looks awesome btw, except for the freaking cyan) I am not impressed (BTW, I freaking hate Cyan, which I assume you have picked up on at this point) Thanks for mincing 1/4 of the ships for me because the red/brown colour the domi used to have was so in keeping with the colour of all the other gallente ships out there that were all using blue/green hues. given the shape of the domi, i guess that CCP thought an updated colour scheme would be wise, since it looks something like the cross between a whale and a steaming pile of dog... uh... leavings. seriously, i think making the domi fit with the rest of the gallente race's overall theme is probably 100% the right thing to do. i mean every other race has a unified look and feel part of which is the colour scheme, caldari have unpainted-metal, minmatar have dark colours (I hesitate to say rust, since that's impossible in a vaccum), amarr have gold. ========================================== that's no moon... oh, wait, yes it is, the space station's out the other window.
