Funny, I had the same idea, when I read the first time about this contract. **** the AAA or RA noobs - the REAL challenge in PVP are the allmighty Bruuuuuuce boys. Mad probs for bringing it at Evoke, Outbreak and MC! I admire you for all those fights, you do so terribly outnumbered with almost no hope on a win.
Good luck all and fight with honor

Funny how people always come to conclusions based on zero facts. So how do you imagine this whole thing went down? A anonymous corp/alliance hired MC to fight BRUCE for six weeks, MC thought they can't handle BRUCE all by themselves and they subcontracted ev0ke and 0utbreak, so we are basically hired now too?
The sad reality is, you choose a target from the GBC and the whole GBC comes after you and you have to face the blob. You go after a RSF alliance and you have the other blob on your doorstep. So really, how many options are left for corps who want to have fun doing pew pew and avoid the blob and annoying POS warfare?
Think about it next time you post with your tinfoil hat on. This thing called coincidence does really exist! ___________________________

People like you still think that you can join the eve server and expect even teams. This is no first person shooter. Numbers alone do not say anything. 40 bs against 13 carriers, 40 cruisers against 13 shuttles? And even if they lost with 14 bs against 40 cruisers what is your point? They do not need to create an alliance if they want to hold a tournament where they have even numbers.
Wait Bruce guys you can not just try to win. If the enemy brings 40 cruisers you are not allowed to bring more numbers or bigger ships. "Teams will autobalance in 15 seconds."

OK, enough with the Blob stuff.
What do you want us to do? Tell most of the people that X up they can't join the fleet because we might be called a Blob ?
Get real. If you fight an opponent that has 20 times your number, expect 20 times more peeps to show up on your doorstep. That is not something new in Eve.
If you can't deal with that fact, can I have your stuff ?

I no longer regard BRUCE as the most boring alliance I have ever fought...
True, BRUCE only fight with 3-1 odds, but at least they actually fight!
Since I've been living in the North, I've met a new, more boring foe, who only fight if they outnumber you, out-EW your fleet, and dock up or run in any other situation, only fly nano ships so they can escape, and on the rare occasions that there are even numbers, they call for help from larger alliances to bring more numbers and capitals...
If you can guess who I'm talking about, you win!
Suffice to say, I miss the old fleet fights with BRUCE and EXM... If I ever take a holiday, Syndicate and Placid will be my first choices!

Strange preconceptions about BRUCE I hear. Believe me, being in BRUCE (especially now) Rules. We are able to play many different styles and fight the best. We do recon gangs, inty gangs, cruiser gangs, solo work, long and short range BS fleets, and cap ships groups.. all styles we use. We have some clever leadership too. We can't be blamed for being 1600+ members who all "x"-up when needed. We donĘt care much about E-peens and ratios, just having fun and enjoying the game.
I generally prefer BRUCE to stay unaffiliated in the Great War, but not sure it can last too much longer with the GBC (in the form of MC) attacking Syndicate with the supercap gangs. Yes it isnĘt much of an existential threat, since it would take the current forces arrayed against us 4 months of continuous mind-numbing camping to attempt to dislodge us (and we could just return when they left). But, sometimes enemies choose you.

Do what you are doing. Get all your friends together in ships you can afford to lose, and when you feel lucky, come out to play. Ignore the people here who know nothing about nothing, and are probably not logged on anyway. Vary your tactics, blob up, bait us, ambush us, logonski on us .. do everything you can think of to have some fun and get some kills. If you lose, shrug it off, if you win Celebrate! Well manas your speaking is crap. You have only 1 tactic and it is blob.In even numbers you never fight, yeah your cloackers may sit all day cloacked in the systems doing nothing. Oss we always went and fought even when it was 4-1,this is the difference, and you should teach your people to use better fittings. Losing mothership in your own system only you can do this. Or with 30 outbreak to stay 150 docked with oss gang in your pc9 battling. I did not and will never respect such attitude.Yes we are in fontaine now here at least we have honourable enemies like Hun reloaded, they come bring the numbers and fight, lose ships reship and fight again. My respect goes for them, this is what this game is meant to be fun. I hope mc have their fun against you. Bulgarian experienced *****ers - Sons of Tangra |

AHHH, the voice of clarity
That's pretty much the way we have been approaching it for the most part. At least I have, I don't speak for anyone except myself. But from most of the chat on vent and the forums, most peeps are looking at this as a fun time tbh.
MC is a great opponent, we look forward to learning a few things. If the cost is a few ships, it is a cheap education.

first of all I know this is an alt etc - i dont have a choice. Ignoring what I have to say arbitrarily makes you a fool in my opinion, maybe itll be deleted before you read it.
Anyhow... I have fought against you many times, and the only real problem I have with Bruce is their own perception of themselves. We have good fights, Bruce do bring it, but their perception of most battles I've been in with them is often extremely self-congratulatory for really nothing much. Add to this the classic excuse "what are we supposed to do if we get 100 Xs" - of course if you get 100 Xs, you put 100 in gang - But this does not represent the entire truth of the matter. It's not like you get 100 xs in 1 minute as an aimmediate response to an incursion. You just make your opponent wait and wait and wait while you get 100 Xs.
Why do they wait? Because unlike you they are there for the fight, not necessarily to try and win at all costs. They really are there not to build empires, but to fight against the odds and win.
You say you don't have a choice, when actually you will wait and wait and wait UNTIL you have overwhelming numbers and then fight. I've watched a 20 man hostile gang sit in PC9, while bruce pilot after pilot after pilot trickles into your pos to form up over the course of hours. You make it sound as if blobbing is simply a side effect of your size, when the reality is you use it deliberately as a tactic.
Don't get me wrong - it's a legitimate tactic. However you try and make it sound as if it 'just happens', when in reality it is something you quite clearly play towards.
So you use the correct strategy and fight on your own terms, and usually your opponent will allow you to blob up over the course of 45 min+, and wait for you to do so not because they are just dumb, or they don't see what you are up to, but simply because they love a good fight
I have not once in months of fighting seen that attitude on an individual level from Bruce's pilots. You only ever go on the offensive to take out POSes, or in a roaming gang of 30+ with very very few exceptions. Otherwise you just let people walk all over you until you can blob them, and then you seem to expect some kind of respect for that behaviour?
Bruce win their significant victories predominantly through brute force, and if they don't have brute force they will wait, docked, until it arrives. You say you use a lot of different tactics - well as your neighbour I don't see it, and quite honestly sick of hearing how varied and great your tactics are - they are simplistic zerg warfare.
When everyone who has fought you seems to agree on this, even when those parties are enemies amongst themselves, perhaps you can at least accept you might be wrong about this.
