If looking slightly maniacal is your goal, you've nailed it. The only thing that seems a bit out of place is the angle of the head; it might look strange because of the armor - perhaps it wouldn't look so weird with plain clothing, I don't know.

You just OOZE confidence, but the background subtracts from it, maybe a rusty wall or even a logo, that would give a feel for a mercenary or pirate, but right now i just feel like you're farting unbelievably powerful gas into space

With the last change to her pose (she was activated?), Morrigan went from simply a very good take on the Retro Gallente Android theme to the short list of avatars that I can't help liking for some unexplainable reason. Though it's very explainable in this case!

One of the rare times where I've seen the forehead piercing work well. It nicely contrasts with the coloring surrounding it, and it pays off! Bonus point for the freckles too, its a nice detail. The face is almost flawless.
I would however consider changing that eye orientation given how it makes the pupils look slightly out of sync. I'd also reconsider this jacket and this background if I were you, they are not bad, but they do not feel like they have any synergy with the character. Kinda feels like a missed opportunity to do something awesome with those! :)

I like the crooked positioning and the canny smile of your character, but sadly that smile is hardly noticeable because the whole shot is just way too dark.

I like the avatar a lot - it has a lot of potential but it suffers from 2 big flaws and a lesser one:
- 1 because there are some weird shadows on the neck (right side). Have you tried different lights
- 1 because no eyebrows, looks unnatural
-0.5 because you look opposite to where the text is (to the left). I know my face also looks to the left but my torso is turned to the right, creating dynamics. There is nothing like that in your portrait.
so, 7.5/10 but with the potential to go much higher... |
