Everytime I see a Jericho Faction signature I think two things "WHAT THE F***!" "How much S&M can a group of player have without knowing each other?" I mean, please, some body explain this to me before I have a ****ing anurism. **** * ***** What is the point to all that kink! I used to think I had some really ****ed up fetishes but this is incredible. So for the love of the dog named Max... EXPLAIN IT TO ME!

I like their sigs ...Miso's is especially nice, kinda gets old looking at the same business card-type sigs that most have, plus I think we can assume JF is far from the normal corp ...the sigs Riz makes are always stellar

No, fras, in fact it is different. That is what roleplaying is about, and from this we we come back to the square one. To roleplay is among other things to detach the social aspect of the game from reality and detach the character from the players. Failing to understand this leads to these flamewars time after time.
Paople do not understand the concept of detaching themselves from the character. It is not required for every one to do so, that is not what I am implying. Not every one needs to roleplay. But to pass judgement without understanding what is being judged is not wise, and it is being pretty generally done with very little understanding in this and other threads in this forum.
As to whether or not it is a roleplaying game or not, I urge people to see what is the forum one above this.
Again, not every one needs to roleplay, but griefing roleplayers is exactly the same as carebears wanting to remove PvP from Eve. Forcing own playstyle on others.
Respect to other players is very underrated in Eve community, I am sad to notice. This too is because people have trouble detaching themselves from their characters.

I dont think anyone has a problem with males playing females or vice versa. It's just getting to a level now where ppl start to wonder why some of you dont just play Sims Online.

Anyway, the game is still the game, roles are just inserted in that game for fun and laughs for all. It is very hard to see how sex maniacs that some play hurt anyone anymore than playing a murdering lunatics, cannibals, orcs or knights in shining armor etc. If you go down that way, you have to consider all the values of every role. For example in case of a prince on a white stallion you would find them rather male chauvinist, wouldn't you? How about those Minmatar rebels? Uh oh. Etc.
So once again it boils down to detaching characters from players, once that is done, it is all in good humour for those who like that sort of stuff.
Well, it would be, if there weren't all these flamefests that take the wub out of the community and divide it into two with no good reason.

Why are you assuming that being submissive is offensive to all women? Many people of both sexes enjoy giving control to another as part of their erotic play. Many people would consider assuming all of any one gender think and feel the same way about anything as offensive.

I'm for the sigs, adds some spice :) Lord Zap has a point, if you don't like it, don't look at them. Stop expecting the world to cater to your personal beliefs. This directly relates to the world, women are revealing in movies, TV shows etc. Who is to say what they do is not demeaning? Because they are women it's ok?
JF has women in it too, how do you know which women are making the pretty sigs and which that are men pretending to be women?

Now if there was some act behind it or they conducted themselves in some way to offend then maybe I could understand but, a sig no bigger than a a few inch's wide causes offence.
Are we in such a conservative world that we have to worry about pictures of people with their hands bound and other remotly suggestive images?
You can see worse in UK's daily tabloid press than this and nobody bats an eye at it.

Good Lord! Is it possible that such people do not understand the difference between fantasy and reality? I shall break it down for the more simpleminded!

Regardless of ones gender, or rather preferred method of erotic divertissement this type of acting has been going on for centuries, remembered most popularly in the Shakespearian era in which men played the roles of women for entertainment.
Signature graphics are art. A personal expression of ones desire to protray his or her character, and if done right, will reveal a great deal about the character behind the avatar.
On a side note, and completely off subject. I wouldn't mind seeing Lord Zap in the buff sometime. (Conrad or Talon either *wink*)

Methinks this thing about the signatures being discriminating is weird. Smacks of everyday feminism to me, which - in the end - works just like the conservatism of male chauvinists for making women feel guilty about their bodies.
I mean god damn, are women supposed to dress upp like eskimoes just to avoid alleged sexism? In my experience feminists that whine about theese things are more fixated with sex and it's implications than those that enjoy living out this kind of roleplaying.

I quit a few months ago because the game had serious playability issues and wasn't worth my time or money.
It is again. FYI, I've been back for quite awhile.
I simply find the subject of your signature graphics to be fairly amusing, as they advertise your immaturity, along with the rest of your antics.

Heh, "pinhead" has nothing to do with hellraiser. (Outside of the character name of course)
Its a term coined by Bill O'Reilly (On Fox), which I find rather amusing in the context of which it is used, so it found a nice home in my vocabulary.

The things people choose to do to excite them vary from person to person. In the case of most of JF's pictures, they're from people who either do this for artistic purposes, or do it as a form of play. It's not any more demeaning to a woman than a woman who's a mechanic (not traditionally a very femanine profession). It's consentual. I have some friends who actually do that for a part-time job.
I used to go out clubbing a lot. The music that I listen too draws a very 'alternative' crowd. I've seen some things that I found a bit twisted, but that made people happy. Strange confinement practices, People hanging in the air by hooks stuck through their flesh, People getting 10's of big needles stuck into them, whipping, paddling, and a whole array of n0rty items.
The point is, when the nights done, we all go to a local coffee/IHOP, talk about music/politics/whatever, and go on with our lives. I dance, they get whipped, and we're both happy.
There is no 'movement' to stand up for. Humans are humans. They live, they love, and most have some kink or another.
JF is composed (from what I've seen) of mostly social people. Social people enjoy interaction and attention, and the sigs do just that. I'm glad they have another option to express themselves visually, as the game despite it's AWESOME char creation, doesn't allow you to do much after that.
As for La Maison and Jade's 'jabber', go read Oscar Wilde for a while and come back to us. If there's anything I'm sure about Ms. Jade, it's that she's NOT a 14 year old boy. Or if she is, she'll likely take over the world when she grows up. I hope so. The world could use more Oscar Wildes.

Personally I think charity's sigs are works of art and deserve to have a gallery of their own for people to appreciate them. Same goes for Alex's and Riz's.
I also like the Xanadu ones. And some of Vyper's sigs are pretty cool. Maybe I'll just copy them all and set up a gallery...
