U do know that the smaller portion of the community as you put it is almost every 0,0 alliance and a all other pos owners as well. Considering the ammount of accounts most 0,0 players has i wouldnt call it a small portion of the playerbase at all

lol, they may have fixed the problem but you can bet that they are still fielding calls from players squawkin about how it broke their machine and want help fixing it. I myself lost my boot.ini but since i dont shut my machine down during the week i was able to go back and use System Restore to bring it back to Tuesday nights Checkpoint and tada my machine is back to normal in less than 5 min. But since i am a IT tech this is easy for me to do and i do know that others would not know how to fix it at all. I think we all need to sit back, have a drink (well at least those of us that can legaly do that) and chill for a bit.

and any blueprints, or corp hangar contents and etc.
I wont name any names, for obvious security reasons, but a friend of mines capital contruction pos was taking out. Carrier bpo gone, along with about 12 billion in materials in silos, and corp hangars.
lol and everyones mission running ammo, which may not sound like much, but alot of ****ed off corp members with no ammo to carebear

True, but the GMs should be handling that. All we want are some Intelligent responses from the devs, relevant might be nice too. It would also help if the dev wasnt a smartass who doesnt even play the game.

You do have a point there, from what ive seen browsing the forums the devs really dont like talkin to us unless they really really feel like it, and if it was happening to me i would probly be freakin out about it just as much as you are.

You guys are failing to understand the magnitude of some of the stuff happening with the POSes. Someone was actually stupid enough to compare this to not being able to access the game at "work."
The issue is a number of multi-billion isk POSes have been rendered completely helpless by losing their shields and the ability to shoot back at aggressors. Additionally, I have heard rumors the many of the construction structures have just stopped working.
Think about it like this, if Trinity somehow reduced your combat ships armor and shields to 0 how would you feel? How about if someone could blow up your most expensive ships and items while you were offline? What if your ships' shields and armor were correct, but none of your guns, tank, or mods worked at all?
Quite frankly, the game is broken. It doesn't matter that only 20% of the players are affected... if the 20% of the players who use lasers suddenly couldn't fire them, some of the same people *****ing about the pos "whiners" would all be demanding blood.
And lets not forget it is actually way more than 20% of the people who play eve who are affected. Everyone who flies a tech 2 ship, builds their own stuff, or buys from the market will feel this soon (if they haven't already.)

To be quite honest.
Considering the amount of flaming I get from PvP'ers when raising issues regarding PvE potion of the game I could not care any less. Let the server stay up and let the PvPers deal with it when its fixed.

I would agree with taking the server down. If it was just some game content going missing or being bugged for a while (like say missions or exploration or rats or something), then everyone else could kind of carry on. Those affected could just pick up where they left off when the content was fixed.
If this POS stuff doesn't get put back completely by CCP after the issue is fixed, its going to take a huge amount of work for people to recover. This isn't just a game mechanic breaking for a while, this is people losing stuff they have worked for on a massive scale due to bugs.
Imagine if the bug was that ships in peoples' hangars started disappearing. Even if it only affected 10% of the population, wouldn't you agree that the game should not continue while those 10% have their possessions arbitrarily destroyed?
Of course its moot since they already said they won't be doing it. -

With all the problems and no doubt tens of thousands of petitions at this point... it would probably be easier for CCP to just rollback everything a couple days. Then fix the problems... maybe TEST the damn thing, and then let it go on Tranquility.

Yeah, it did occur to me that had CCP actually taken the server down they would have had much more trouble fixing the issues. Conspiracy theories will abound if they do roll it back -

There's another way to move between systems. They're called "Gates". They were used before jump bridges, and they still work
The POS issues are somewhat worse. IMHO CCP ought to declare abuse of this a bannable offense...

Well I will be slightly miffed if they do this now, 72 hours is too long Longer they leave it the more problematic it becomes, say someone buys a T2 BPO or has sold on the new t2 ships after inventing them..... Rate my charecters please, updated so need 3 more, 2M isk for each good review |

That's a shame but it's absolutely fine for the other 80% of players. Can't you lot take a break and play nice until the problem is solved?
You assume they will be fixing our destroyed POS, we havnt been told yet.
So us low sec people may only represent 20% of the population, but with out us you have less high end minerals, no t2 items, no capital ships, no boosters. Uhh basicly you have nothing cool.
If tons of POS continue to die, expect the eve market to be a scary place for a while.
T2 items can be made in High Sec. Minerals can be farmed from Rogue Drones or Mission Loot. Boosters? Yeah...um...Right whatever. Capitals do nothing for High Sec folks.
The only thing I dislike about Low Sec folks getting screwed (besides the fact that no one should get shafted) is that they buy lots of stuff and I do not want customers getting screwed and not buying because things do not work for them at the moment. The Isk MUST flow! So yeah, if there is a big issue here CCP needs to get on fixing that ASAP. +++++++++++++++ I saw the Sign...!

Sure t2 items can be made in high sec. BUT MOON MATERIALS CANT. Oh wait, T2 items are made from moon materials. Snap! That means T2 root is low sec.
