I am not the only one who feels CCP is a corrupt company only out to make money. They continually ignore the request of the people. They continually make this a game that can not be played with only one account. They force you to pay $14.99 extra a month in order to reap the full benefits of the game. One may say that there are 200,000 players but that is a joke. Soon anyone who continues to play this game will have more than one account. In OTHER words this is a FREE TO PLAY game with a monthly subscription. I say free to play because we all know those games are not free, the rich players buy the items that others canĘt afford giving them an edge. In this case the bought items are time. The time I waist to go back and get a hauler just to pickup my loot. Stop nerfing solo players you greedy bastar#$

I've only had one account and I fully intend to only have one account. I do fine all by myself.
If your goal is to get as much isk as possible, then yes, you do need multiple accounts (Unless you get lucky). But if you just want to play the game to have fun, one account should do fine.

I only got one account (& really only use one character on that account) n I dont feel too handicapped compared to multi account ppl. Course I know they can (dont always)make more isk & having others makes some parts of the game easier, but since i dont fly cap ships, dont mine & dont run a trade/production/moon mining empire by myself, I dont really need a 2nd account to still have fun/do what I do.
helps that I cant afford a 2nd account or run 2 at once on the machine I normally use. So i actually have to try n make one account work rather than instantly crying "I need an another" & buying one.

I'm a trader by... trade. My goal is to make massive amounts of iskies and I do all right on one account. Yes CCP is in it overall to make money, welcome to the real world. You do not need to have a second account, a second account gives you an edge, hell buying ISK gives you an edge but your not being forced into either.

Having money in RL has always given ppl an edge.
Either in using multiple accounts or buying in-game currency or simply by upgrading their PC to be lag-free.
I have enough for multiple accts, but I forget to train them and it's just a big hassle to alt-tab all the time, my second acct is shut down for a while now, and I use 1 char 1 acct.

I have one account, I don't feel down because there are others with multiple account - nor am I likely to be jealous of those that do(seemingly unlike other people). I make enough ISK to but what I need by the time I should be using them. This game is what? over 4 years old....I'd be a fool to think I could be making as much as the "rich". Honestly though, *****ing in the forums is going get you any richer.

CCP every patch try to make more people need alts.
CCP makes money from isk selling. More farmers, more accounts, more money for CCP.
Like i said earlier, if they cared, people would not see the same 50 orebarges mining for months on end, but those 50 ore barges, are making ccp at least 750$ a month. That is like what? 9,000$ a year? You think CCP is going to stop them? That is only one group.
This last expansion is not the worst thing to happen to eve, the worst thing to happen to eve was revaltions. This is just part of the overall worst thing to happen to eve.

I was around way back when eve was still in closed alpha/beta testing.
Concord didnt exist, nothing really worked, and frigs were all we had. I loved it, why ? Because the devs and the company seemed to care about the game first, and money second, this lasted a few years in retail, a year and half ago or so, this started to change.
This is why I am so mad, i know CCP is better than this, and it sickens me to know they have joined the dark side of big evil game companies like EA, and SOE.
I want my old gameplay first loving CCP. The ones i was proud to buy and wear t-shirts for, the ones that actually listened to us, actualy posted on froums, actually posted warning swiftly for huge bugs/exploits.
This is gone, and I feel like CCP has let us down.

I've discovered 3 seperate "farming" groups, petitioned CCP for each one and each group dissappeared from the area's they where farming. To me thats evidence that CCP are doing something about farmers. Its also in CCP's best interest to minimise farmers as much as possible, as if too many asteroid fields are run dry by over-mining they loose accounts. Wheres your evidence that CCP actively support ISK miners? and wild speculation does not count as evidence.
At the end of the day... dont like it? bugger off, you have complete freedom of choice to pay to play or not. The rest of us will continute to have fun regardless, when we stop enjoying ourselves most of us will stop paying and move on to other things... as is their choice.

No s**t CCP is a company out to make money. They employ 250 people and half of them probably have families to support. They took a $2.6 million loan just to start eves development back in 2000. Please explain how in the hell are they a "corrupt" company? Do you hacve any idea how capitalism, the free market, economics in general works?
CCP can do nothing about extra accounts making a difference without harming their profits. This is never going to change, they make lots of money from players with multiple accounts, this is a perfectly legitimate business strategy. Its not like your account is limited or restricted compared to other peoples. Everyone who pays gets, the same, they play in the same world, and their characters can do the same things. EVE is a very level playing field. There are clever people who make a billion after a month playing the game, and others who haven't made that in 3 years. There are no restrictions on your character or accounts compared to anyone else. There is no tiered system of payments or services, we all pay the same, and get the same for the amount we pay. If people want more than 1 account, thats their choice.
Seriously, there are lots of legitmate complaints about the game, but generic idiot complaints like this mean you need to stfu and stop littering the forums with your inane whiney dribble. You think a poorly written and argued wall of text post on CCP's forums is going to radically change the way they operate as a business? Please go and play in some busy traffic.

Edited by: Estephania on 09/12/2007 07:24:34 Simple question here for the fanbois:
If it's so nice and easy to play with one account, why so many players have 2,3 or even more accounts with only purpose of making ISK with them?
Have you ever heard about players that can suck the asteroid belt dry with their Hulks in minutes? About players who have 2,3 accounts for RP grinding? About cynonets? Refining, production, trading alts? Why do they exist if it's so nice to play with one account? May be because there are things that you can not do with one account, or that you will have to train everything on that account and still you won't be able to be in all paces at once and do what they do? Eve is a very competitive game and in the end you're competing against those players, now tell me you are not handicapped here. Why there are so many activities that look like they are especially designed for multi-account owners? Who will have a RP grinding main? Or a trading main that never undocks? Or hauling main that only flies that fat freighter from point A to point B? Or main that only installs and delivers manufacturing jobs?

Because its a MMORPG. And they are designed to be done with friends.
Originally by: Estephania Who will have a RP grinding main? Or a trading main that never undocks? Or hauling main that only flies that fat freighter from point A to point B? Or main that only installs and delivers manufacturing jobs?
Me actually. My main doesn't trade (my alt does XD), but my main has in the past grinded for RPs, hauled stuff (though not in a freighter) from A to B over and over (for weeks, solo, in 0.0), and currently my main only sits in a station and installs and delivers manufacturing jobs (while my alt sits in a station and buys/sells materials/products).
So, does it mess up your rant that someone actually does the things you say no-one does, or did you accept that you were wrong before you even posted? -

No, I was not wrong. The fact that most Eve players have more than one account proves it. They don't have that another account for the pure love for the game. They have it because it makes the game easier for them. There are ppl who enjoy something that most ppl aren't, there are exceptions, but they only support the rule. The fact that you do it with your main doesn't mean that everybody else does it with their mains. In fact, everyone I know do it with their alts. And ,most ppl I know have alts because they need a lot of ISK not to be limited in PvP options. Some play to have fat wallet, and here alts come handy too. You can't deny after all that 9 characters grinding for RP will grind more RP than one character, and it will result in more ISK for the owner of multiple accounts.
You can say that you can go from NYC to LA by foot, but most ppl will use cars for that. Same is here, you can be very successful with one accounts, but vast majority of successful players will use several accounts to give them an edge.

Or is it someone that pays a monthly subscription to a company to play their online, imaginary space game and post on their internet forums?

This is strange. I guess you're in a unique group. On the other hand, I can say that in every corp I was, most ppl owned more than one account. Yes, some wanted that capital ship account, or account specialized in another race ships, they wanted to enjoy the game from different perspective. But the majority just used their alts to earn even more ISK or move capital ships. I've known someone who had PvP main and 3 alts with Hulks to support his PvP, many ppl do invention on their alts when their main can spend loads of ISK buying stuff for his pew pew fun. How long will it take you to recuperate after, lets say, command ship loss if you have only one account? Back to grinding for how long? But if you have ISK pumping alts, nothing happened, you're in the new Command ship the very next morning.

The bigger 'issue', as per your definition, is how much time a person has to play Eve. Time = ISK. I don't think the number of accounts matters that much, but time definitely does. Of course it's unfair, but what does CCP have to do with it?

I myself am quite satisfied with the game, thus CCP continue to get the money for my one account. Simple as that, the day I don't find it to be worth it I quit.
I've stated that i have cancelled my account, and will ***** and moan for the last 3 weeks on it. Why? Because i care about eve, and i want it to not suck. That and school is over, and i'd rather whine here, then spend christmas with family. Cause they insane.
Using pure genetics, it is proven you are insane => you opinion just became worthless. Let those who enjoy Eve enjoy it, and those who hate hete it and give their stuff to me, it's pretty simple you know...

I think many ppl just can't comprehend some points or have the mentality that says "whatever I have is the best in the world". There's a big difference between making money and building the game the way that squeezes existing customers for even more money. If you can't get it, I'm sorry for you.
Yes, it's nice to fly in a small ship which cost nothing to replace (and does nearly nothing in battle), but in a while, when you develop your skills, you naturally train for better ships which cost more ISK. Try replacing those with one account. Are you enjoying grinding for ISK when your multi-account corpmates continue to PvP like nothing happened? ISK making mechanisms in Eve are especially catering to multi-accounters. Many means of making ISK require little to no activity, big time investment on learning relevant skills or doing something that is done simply because it needs to be done and not because it's fun do do it. Those actions are perfect for alts, but disaster for one account customers.

The thing is, I know dozens of people who used to love this game, and now dont play because CCP ruined it in 2006.
Simple as that, this game ruled, untill ccp decided they knew best, and started nerfing everysingle module/ship/tactic.
Now its the same thing just different color ships. Everything the same, nothing is better then anything else.

Somewhere CCP lost the vision of a game, a game is about fun, not how many hours you can sit semi afk, while you haul things.

Having dealt with Vibes, I find it impossible to be upset with CCP. Trust me, CCP does NOT even come close to ignoring player concerns.
agreed. vibes were quite a way behind ccp, but ccp are trying their hardest to get to vibes' level of notoriety.
the recent patch would have to be the ONLY patch for any games, even mankind, that affected the os in that manner.
i remember many a long weekend with servers failing, time warps etc with vibes at the helm. funny thing is once they stopped developing the game, the servers were quite reliable.
cheats + developers direct interaction killed that game. it cant happen the same way in eve, but things like macro miners and the devs helping your lot are reminiscent of mankinds downfall.

I have 3 accounts and very happy with that. If I want to play solo, I can but if I want backup, I can log in to one or both of my other accounts. I have 3 PC's, monitors, keyboards and mice on my desk so it's quite possible for me to play all 3 characters at once.
This game can be played solo as well, it's much harder but it's possible and I have done it for over 2 years. It all depends on whether you want easy, hard or extreme difficulty. If you want very easy, that is simple too... Just log off forever.

So many ppl are talking about social interaction and it has absolutely nothing to do with the topic of this thread. The topic here is that in order to successfully compete in Eve (as it is a PvP game) you need to run multiple accounts. That's the problem, not that you can't play solo. Playing solo != playing with single account

lol at new players pretending to understand the world of eve. the op actually makes it sound like eve has only been around for a few months.
now i'm not claiming i'm an old player, as i didn't start in beta or anything like that. but i've been around for a couple years. i even remember harboring some conspiracy theories myself.
those ebil ccp people. they take our $15/mo (many times that for some of us) then all they give us is gorgeous graphics, weekly updates and constantly adding/changing existing content all while interacting directly with the playerbase through various communities. all for no additional extra cost! can you believe it?!
i hear they also secretly give space ships to terrorists and are waging a war on christmas. o'lielly said so on faux noise!

It's a subscription model used by almost every other MMO, in order to keep the servers running and the people developing and adminestering this game paid.
Originally by: Jory One may say that there are 200,000 players but that is a joke.
Certifiable numbers. 30,000 accounts logged in every night, on average everyone logs in at least once a week. If that many people have multiple accounts the 30,000 number becomes even more awesome.
Originally by: Jory Soon anyone who continues to play this game will have more than one account.
Constant stream of new people might also have something to do with it's growth. Last time i checked there were quite a lot of people asking for help in the NPC channels, i very much doubt that alts would do that.
Originally by: Jory In OTHER words this is a FREE TO PLAY game with a monthly subscription.
No it isn't. If you can make this game free to play without ads then by all means, do it. While you're at it, make World of Warcraft, Everquest (I & II), Star Wars Galaxies, Lineage 2 and all of those free to play aswell, that would be swell.
Originally by: Jory I say free to play because we all know those games are not free, the rich players buy the items that others canĘt afford giving them an edge.
They spent a lot of playtime working, grinding or whatever to earn those items. Gold/ISK buyers are still a minority, despite whatever you might think. In EVE this is even less of an issue, since you can't buy your way to success. A newb who buys a vet account with a titan will be killed straight away by a frig gang because he has no idea what to do.
Originally by: Jory In this case the bought items are time. The time I waist to go back and get a hauler just to pickup my loot.
I didn't bother reading up to here to make an informed comment before, so i will do so now. MMO's are a time sink. They entertain you for a monthly fee, at far better value than a night out at a club or a movie or 2.

CCP is not a corrupt company, it's actually better than many MMO publishers. That doesn't change the fact, that Eve is greatly favoring multi account owners. I'd say, that being on par with others at the later stages of your PvP career with only one account is a frustrating uphill battle. That's why alts are so widespread in Eve.

explain how they are favoring multiple accounts? how can you control who has how many accounts. where does it stop? truth of the matter is, eve is no different than any other mmo in this respect. i had multiple accounts on almost every mmo i've ever played.
if anything, though.. they hindered multiple accounts with this latest update. if i use premium graphics, even at low settings, multiple clients become.. well, choppy is putting it lightly.
and with their support of gtcs for isk, even people who wouldn't normally be able to afford multiple accounts can afford them with a little extra effort in-game. i know, that's how i started playing multiple accounts. that and i've seen a a lot of photoshops in my.. ok, that ones not overused but i couldn't resist.

I figure I must be part of the single smallest minority in Eve - the ones who are reasonably content, and can't find much to whine about.
I joined the month Eve was released, back in 2003. I played for over 2 years - the first year solo, the second year in one of the foremost pvp corps of the period. I recall only twice venting my anger and feeling totally hacked off with the game. The first was when 'missile splash' kept getting me popped by Concord etc. It could be classed as my only justified complaint, and missile splash was removed eventually. The second was Tank CEO popping me in Aurohunen, back in the day of 'jump in points'. I was new, inexperienced, and felt bullied. Months later when I started pvper (albeit on the side of the good), it was embarrassing to remember my abuse towards one of the legendary pirates of the period, and subsequent feelings that the game wasn't for me. Not a justified complaint at all.
I left in 2005, and returned a year later with a new character. I'm still solo after 18 months, and with an older understanding of Eve, I make loads of iskies, and find very little to moan about. Granted, my current activities don't bring me into much contact with some of the facets of the game that are universally bemoaned, and are therefore obviously in need of some developer interest. But moaning about CCP being money grabbers, with little or no concern about the players wishes, and an apparent anti-solo attitude, is a bit bemusing to me.
To my knowledge CCP have always been clear that they expect the game to move players together, and goals are always reached more swiftly in great numbers. It was always about forming corporations and meeting other players. I remember reading initial reviews of Eve back in 2003, and they all highlighted this fact.
So I think the idea that CCP are actively working towards a situation that demands we all get a second account (or more), and thus make their wallets fat, is a little off the mark.
Eve encourages strength in numbers, thats all.
I'm still in awe of it, so I'll continue to pay my money.
Eve time is happy time.

Here's the explanation. If you are playing this game for PvP, you notice that in most cases PvP is an entertaining way to lose ISK. As you develop your character, you move from frigates to cruisers, battlecruisers, eventually T2 frigs and so on. In the beginning it doesn't bother you. You are in a belt, ratting or a little mining and you are ready to lose another ship But as you progress, new ships cost more, modules cost more, even your enemies and friends become more experienced and use "cooler stuff". Now losses hurt. You have to spend more time replacing the loss, which means that you grind ISK when your friends are PvPing. You see that there are better means of earning ISK than just ratting, but you need to learn long skills and invest a lot of time for that, and actually physically be in some place other than your usual PvP playgrounds. All that means that you spend more time on things that are not fun and subsequently less time on PvP. Then you start thinking about capitals, Dreads and Carriers. At the same time, you notice how you multi-account corpmates/enemies always PvP in top ships, have capital (or even several) in their hangars, don't spend time grinding for anything, buy faction implants and modules. And you ask yourself: "Can you do the same with just one account?"

I agree with your statement purely because that seldom/never happens, sadly ofcourse it places the emphasis on just creating another account for 90% of people that become effected by those changes, because of the individual nature of resource gathering for the most part.
Where it falls off the rails for me.
I thought id support your statement anyway, as there's a degree of truth to it. ______

Jory, you're basing your opinion on an ASSUMPTION. You assume that anyone with 2 or more accounts will be more successful than someone with 1 account. This is just simply not true. There are MANY people with only 1 account that have a great deal more wealth (which seems to be your definition of successful?) than players with multiple accounts which they achieved simply by working hard, training right, and focusing their efforts on one goal. This doesn't take years of training, this is easy to do early on.
No one is *forced* to pay $14.99 for a second account either. If you are so convinced that having 2 accounts is the only way to be successful, you can buy a separate account WITH IN-GAME ISK. Whether you mine, mission *****, trade, pvp, etc, it's easy to make enough isk to pay for a second account. According to you, that second account will even make you that much more ISK as well, in fact with your 2 accounts maybe you can make enough isk to pay for BOTH with in-game isk and not have to pay RL cash at all.
As for calling CCP corrupt and nerfing solo players, that's just....well that's just so inaccurate and ignorant it's sad. If you feel that single account players are nerfed and "...make this a game that can not be played with 1 account.", then you obviously haven't figured out how to play the game. Don't blame your lack of research on the game, and different strategies on how to play on CCP.
Name one other software company that is as involved with the player-base/community, informative of every software update AND hardware changes, and actually listens to player feedback on how the game should evolve. There aren't any. All game/software companies are interested in profit but most other games' producers ignore their playerbase entirely and simply chug away at raking in money, with little or no updates, no information for players, and no ability to provide feedback on how the game is working.
While I may have my differences with some of their decisions, CCP has made break-throughs in the mmorpg industry. While you judge them for Trinity being full of bugs and "the worst thing has happened to the game", it becomes obvious you have zero knowledge of the computer industry. ANY patches, software updates, content upgrades, etc for ANY software (not just games) tend to have bugs, it's just the nature of programming.
If you're surprised or offended that CCP is out to make a profit, then you're going to have serious trouble adjusting to the real world. CCP is at least doing it while attempting to provide their playerbase with the best possible experience.

Let's do a very, very simplifistic calculation:
CCP has what, 250 Employees? Let's say from the CEO to the doorman they cost an average of 60,000 USD per capita and year. That's 15 mil USD a year. I would suggest that a company like CCP has a personnel cost ratio of around 50%, so that would make the whole thing cost some 30 mil USD a year.
Now let's look at the other side. 200,000 accounts, which pay for an average (including Euros, USD, and people buying at shatteredcrystal & Co.) of 15 USD a month. These are revenues of 36 mil USD.
That leaves 6 mil USD a year for profits - and investments, like ambulation, buying *coughs* merging with White Wolf and creating something new, expanding to China, or trying out new server technology.
I wouldn't say, that this is a ripp-off, or exceedingly greedy.

yes.. and i have. can you make isk FASTER with multiple accounts? of course. it's how most people with multiple accounts (including myself) got started. you get to the point where you make as much isk as you can solo and still want more. so you find ways to streamline your revenue process by micro-managing tasks among multiple characters. imo this is another level to eve altogether.
but i dare you to train up 2 or 3 combat characters and play them in a combat situation effectively. there may be some that have gotten good at it but it doesn't come easy. in fact, i personally think it HINDERS your ability to pvp properly.
this seems more like a complaint because someone is making more money than someone else and people think thats just not fair. you don't like it, start your own business and make some money. don't have time or motivation for it? not our problem. but you're not going to convince many people that someone who pays for multiple accounts, manages their schedule to accommodate training plans for up to 3 times the number of accounts and keeps them all coordinated so as to make money instead of losing it is somehow different than a number of people working together for the same thing. if anything, it's much more difficult. but this is another reason why some of us do it.
convince me that this is something different than 'moooooom, billy has an extra dollar and i don't! it's not fair!'

It has nothing to do with extra dollar "whine". Yes, rich ppl IRL will try to manifest their RL advantage also online in one form or another. The point is that at higher level in Eve, the gamepaly for single account owner is a frustrating battle with the ISK, especially if he's surrounded by multi-account owners. That's what I'm saying. Not that multi-account owners get an advantage, quite naturally they do, but that it's nearly impossible to compete later-on with single account. Too many "end-game" things are totally out of reach of single account owners. Eve gradually pushes players into paying for more than one account by creating a strikingly clear rift between single account players and multi account players. Unfortunately that kind of statistics doesn't exist, but if we could see the distribution of wealth among Eve players (not accounts, but players) we would most likely see, that from certain amount of ISK, multi-account owners are in great majority. If we could analyze the population of many established 0.0 alliances, we would see, that multi-account owners are in majority there too. Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if in a not that distant future, we will see in a recruitment section of the forums, that established and powerful corps/alliances will make owning more than one specialized account a req.

That's the wrong mindset for an MMOG. That is coming from single-player PC games (or Nintendo, or Playstation, etc). I personally never played single-player games more then just to try them out a bit. I find them boring quickly.
MMOGs are about playing together, not playing solo. I'm playing MMOGs for nearly 10 years now, I have learned that. I play together with others, I don't try to do everything alone. That's boring, and that's what the single-player games are for. When you play together with others, you don't need multiple accounts.

Capitalism generally refers to an economic system in which the means of production are all or mostly privately[1][2] owned and operated for profit, and in which investments, distribution, income, production and pricing of goods and services are determined through the operation of a market economy. It is usually considered to involve the right of individuals and groups of individuals acting as "legal persons" or corporations to trade capital goods, labor, land and money (see finance and credit). Capitalism has been dominant in the Western world since the end of feudalism,[3] but some feel that the term "mixed economies" more precisely describes most contemporary economies,[4][5] due to their containing both private-owned and state-owned enterprises, combining elements of capitalism and socialism, or mixing the characteristics of market economies and planned economies.[6] EVE RELATED CONTENT |

so how about a person who works two jobs and can only afford to play an hour or two a week vs someone who has time to play 40 hours a week?
they key here is to stop focusing on what everyone else is making, start your OWN goals, achieve them and be happy. personally, i see multiple accounts on the same level as multiple players, just one is doing it instead of several. it really has little difference otherwise.
you're implying that the game just stops for a person with one account after a certain point and that just isn't so. i could have easily took my main and specialized in something in addition to that which he already did, but i chose to do it on a different account instead of the same character. that's one of the awesome things about eve. you can literally do everything, albeit much sooner with multiple accounts but you pay more and takes more of your time, with one character.

Ok, you can in a sense play EVE for free on TWO accounts. You just need to make about 300 million ISK per month to buy 2 timecodes off the forums.
Doing so in 0.0 at say 500,000 per Battleship rat and assuming that rat takes 2.5 minutes to kill if that, that means 1 million per 5 minutes ratting. That's 12 million per hour. If you play eve for say 2 hours per day thats 24 million per day and that's 168 million per week. Easily enough to pay for 2 accounts with a months worth of 0.0 ratting.

Ok, ppl are talking here about personal goals, but after a certain period these goals are starting to dry out for single account owners. I can fly HACs, Recons. What else can I set for goals? Quite naturally Command Ships and T2 battleships, probably capitals. But here we see the problem, losing a properly fitted HAC or Recon is a significant blow and throws me back to grinding. Why should I train for Command Ships if I'm barely able to afford to buy and fit them properly, how can I be able to use them in PvP? And T2 battleships are totally out of my league with their price tag around 1 bn ISK. What shall I bring to gang when my corpmates bring 10 or more Command ships without absolutely any problem? When some ppl have several Cap ships at disposal? And how can I be on par with someone who invents small staff in-mass and is now starting to invent T2 battleships and taking shots at jump Freighters? Or another mate that has 10 or more T2 BPO's incl high lvl T2 ship BPOs? Here all potential for single account owner ends, whatever you do, you can't be on par with those ppl. And those ppl are flying around you. You see what a HUGE advantage multi-account owners have. It's not even twice an advantage, it's 100s of times an advantage.

If you value yourself by the achievements of others no wonder you feel bad about this or that you just typed.
Being on par with capital ships pilots? You surely have to train for it at least. It is probably necessary to have some clever isk income beside running missions, if you want to buy a multibillion capital ship to play with.
Btw, I am a single account player and have made some nice amount of isk, enough to buy alot of stuff including a dreadnought

How else is possible to evaluate anything if not comparing it to what's around? And what exactly training capital skills will give me, if I can't possibly afford buying, equipping and (in worst case) losing a capital ship? As to leading. Leaders of most corporations are ppl with several accounts and many many billions on their personal wallets. Who on Erath will make single account guy, who struggles to afford a command ship, a leader of a corp, when there are ppl with capital ships incl. multiple Dreads, Carriers and capital industrials, with a numerous cyno alts, unlimited finances and developed T2 production lines?

Originally by: Estephania Ok, ppl are talking here about personal goals, but after a certain period these goals are starting to dry out for single account owners. It's not even twice an advantage, it's 100s of times an advantage.
t2 ships, access to which comes after around six to seven months, and is when most of the people leave. Coincidence?

Yes, probably Minmatar Citizen has a point here. When ppl get to T2 capable skill level and see that uphill battle against the market, casual gamers are being filtered out and only die-hards who won't mind paying for extra account(s) remain to fully reap the fruit of Eve "endgame".

Locking the thread. At the end of the day, CCP is a business that needs to make a profit to survive and expand. We do not force anyone into multiple subscriptions, nor is our subscription model out of line with the rest of the gaming industry. We do listen to player feedback, but on the same token, we need to balance what we feel is for the good of the entire game versus the requests of a small segment of the player base.
