In order to kill mining bots, put a captcha request when the player activate a mining module.
In order to kill courrier bots, put captcha request when the player request the contract.
In order to kill belting bots, put captcha request when firing on a NPC. |

Please read security part of CSM meeting report. I believe it will help you a lot to understand what are good solutions to botting and why this is not. Also, you are first person I ever met who likes captcha. |

in other MMO's stupid people are annoying. In EVE they are a valuable resource

Captcha would make what is already chores, akin to cleaning a toilet bowl with a toothbrush, even worse for non-bots.
Make the regularly botted jobs less tedious and more challenging so that actual people would want to do them .. design them in such a fashion that the clock-work operation of a bot is more easily identified for extra oomph.
Introduce accountability (ie. Snitch Law) to corps/alliances when it comes to botting .. make bot users persona non grata in Eve. |
